Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface cleaner composition comprising:1) from 0.1 to 70% of tensoactive, or mixtures thereof;2) from 0 to 95% builder/softener;3) from 0 to 99.9% solvent;4) from 0 to 50% hydrotrope; and5) from 1 to 5000 ppm of a poly(oxyalkylene)-substituted colorant which is liquid in its undiluted state having the structure ABXYZ, where AB is a reactive dye moiety whereinA is an organic chromophore;B is and electrophilic reactive group covalently bonded to A directly or through a linking group;X is a nucleophilic linking group covalently bonding B and Y, selected from the group consisting of NR, O, S, and 4-oxyanilino (--HN--Ph--O--); where R is selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, aryl, and YZ;Y is a poly(oxyalkylene)-containing moiety; andZ is a terminal group for Y.
Abstract: An improved compound for use as a spray wax and drying aid in automatic vehicle-washing devices. The invention includes an olefin constituent having the general structural formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group having between 4 to 28 carbon atoms and a first emulsifier having a cationic constituent. Certain preferred embodiments include a second emulsifier and a coupling agent.
Abstract: A coating composition of an alkoxy silane reacted with the surface of a glass substrate and a cleaning composition and method for cleaning said glass area is disclosed. The coating provides water repellency, durability and ease of cleaning to a glass or other siliceous surface. The coating is formed by applying an excess of an alkoxy solution containing a sulfuric acid to a glass surface with an excess of solution being applied. Preparatory to such coating application, the glass, especially if its surface is a weathered (non-virgin) surface, is cleaned vigorously with a cleaning solution containing water, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a phosphor screen (22) on an interior surface (23) of a faceplate panel (12) is characterized by the steps of: forming a light-absorbing matrix (24) on an interior surface (23) of the faceplate panel (12); applying an aqueous surfactant solution thereto to solubilize oily contaminants and emulsify undissolved oily contaminants of the matrix (24); and serially applying three light-emitting phosphors (G, B, R) to the interior surface (23) of the faceplate panel (12) to form the phosphor screen (22).
Abstract: A cleaning composition comprises water, liquid soap, a polishing agent such as Rottenstone, and alcohol. The cleaning composition is effective for removal of dirt and grime from glass, plastic, floors and other similar surfaces. The cleaning composition disinfects and leaves a shiny surface. The cleaning composition is relatively environmentally friendly.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process of mechanically washing soiled articles with a wash liquor having a low pH and comprising silica material, to a mechanical dish washing composition producing a low pH and comprising silica, to a method of preparing a mechanical dish washing composition comprising silica, to silica granules as well as their preparation and to the use of silica material.

Abstract: Detergent compositions comprising nonionic detergent surfactant; unsaturated soap, i.e., oleate and/or ricinoleate; hydrophobic cleaning solvent; and aqueous solvent system. The compositions have excellent detergency properties and excellent filming/streaking properties. Preferred soaps are specific betaaminoalkanolammonium soaps, which provide superior filming/streaking properties as compared to, e.g., sodium soap.

Abstract: A cleaning composition including a terpene such as D-limonene and hydrogen peroxide in a surfactants based aqueous solution. The composition in various specific formulations is a micro-emulsion useful for a variety of materials and for both industrial and household applications.
Abstract: An improvement is described in microemulsion compositions which contain an anionic detergent, a nonionic surfactant, a grease release agent, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water which comprises the use of a water-insoluble odoriferous perfume as the essential hydrocarbon ingredient in a proportion sufficient to form either a dilute o/w microemulsion composition containing, by weight, 1% to 20% of an anionic detergent, 6 to 50% of a cosurfactant, 1% to 10% of a grease release agent, 0.4% to 10% of perfume and the balance being water as well as a grease release solution, an all purpose hard surface cleaning composition or light duty liquid detergent compositions which contain a grease release agent.
