The formulation consists of a combination of different silicon organic compounds, namely [a] end standing mono-, di- or tris-amino-alkyl-alkoxysilanes and [b] mono-, di-, or tris-alkyl-amino-alkylsilanes, in a long-chained isoparaffinic solution. The silicon organic compounds starts to polymerize in the presence of oxygen (air) and/or water (humidity), and builds up a net structure that water molecules can penetrate through the cured protective layer. Depending on the types of the silicon organic compounds, the pore width of the net structure can be verified. It is also possible to remove this protection layer, by using a special water based mixture of hydrofluoric acid and an inert surfactant.

Abstract: The present invention is a cleaning composition for use with firearms and industrial items in which all of the components of the composition are biodegradable. The selected components of the composition also have a combined flashpoint of over 200° F. The low volatility of the composition enhances the safety factor by its reduced flammability in conjunction with the low odor and other benefits obtained by the biodegradability of the composition. Abstract: A solvent for urethane adhesives and coatings, the solvent having a carbaldehyde and a cyclic amide as constituents. In some embodiments the solvent consists only of miscible constituents. Abstract: In a method of forming a pattern using a composition for removing photoresist, a layer is formed on a substrate, and then a photoresist pattern is formed on the layer. A portion of the layer exposed by the photoresist pattern is etched using the photoresist pattern as an etching mask to form the pattern on the substrate. Abstract: Methods of applying and combining cleaning solvent with titanate adhesion promoter to a polymeric substrate are disclosed. Abstract: A concentrated non-aqueous cleaning solution having a long shelf life includes an ester and an anhydrous surfactant. The ester is the active ingredient for dissolving graffiti, grease and other contaminants. The ester can be one of or a mixture of dimethyl glutarate, dimethyl succinate, dimethyl adipate, ethyl lactate, and a methyl ester extracted from soybean oil. The anhydrous surfactant is preferably alcohol ethoxylate. The ester in the concentrated solution does not degrade into an acid and alcohol as long as the solution is not mixed with water. This allows the concentrated solution to be shipped and stored and remain efficacious. The concentrate can be diluted with water immediately prior to use. Diluting before use makes the graffiti cleaner less expensive and prevents damage to sensitive surfaces but does not provide long enough time for the ester to degrade.
Abstract: Paint residues may be removed from spraying equipment and the like by flushing with aqueous compositions containing alkoxylated aromatic alcohols wherein the aromatic ring moieties of such alcohols do not bear any alkyl substituent containing more than 4 carbon atoms. Abstract: An improved paint stripper is provided and comprises at least one paint-stripping agent modified with at least one heavy metal remediation agent. Optionally, one or more viscosity-modification agents, dispersants, or other additive is also included. The invention also provides a kit for making a heavy metal-remediating paint stripper, comprising a vessel containing a paint-stripping agent and a dissolvable packet containing a remediation agent. To use the kit, a painter or other laborer opens the vessel containing the paint-stripping agent and deposits therein the packet containing the remediation agent. The packet dissolves, thereby releasing the remediation agent into the stripping agent.
