  • Patent number: 6835703
Abstract: The invention provides liquid automatic dishwashing detergents (LADDs) that contain a detergent enzyme and have a pH value less than 7.0. Such LADDs can lack phosphate builders, chlorine bleaches, and alkali, each of which is undesirable from the perspective of human and environmental safety. In addition, the invention provides methods for cleaning tableware.

  • Patent number: 6812195
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a grease-cutting detergent composition that exhibits a stable foaming profile when used with non-enclosed automatic dishwashers. The composition can be sold in a concentrated form or in ready-to-use (RTU) diluted form. The concentrated compositions are formulated to be diluted with water before use. The RTU formulas are intended for as-is usage. In one embodiment the concentrated compositions comprises a) from about 0.25% to about 10% of a surfactant, b) from about 4% to about 8% of an alkalinity source, c) from about 0.1% to about 4.0% of a hydrotrope, d) from about 0.001% to about 2.0% of a builder, and e) from about 0.01% to about 3.0% of a thickener. In another embodiment an RTU formulation comprises a) from about 50 ppm to about 80 ppm of a surfactant, b) from about 45 ppm to about 75 ppm of an alkalinity source, c) from about 20 ppm to about 45 ppm of a hydrotrope, d) from about 0.

  • Patent number: 6780832
Abstract: The present invention provides: a specific water-soluble polymer exhibiting a high calcium-ion-scavenging function and further exhibiting a high clay-dispersing function even in high-hardness water; a detergent composition comprising the water-soluble polymer; and uses, other than the detergent composition, by making the best use of the characteristics of the water-soluble polymer. The specific water-soluble polymer, according to the present invention, has a calcium ion scavengeability of not less than 0.40 and further has a clay dispersibility of not less than 0.50 in high-hardness water and, preferably, includes polymers A and B as essential components wherein the polymer A has a calcium ion scavengeability of not less than 0.45 and wherein the polymer B has a clay dispersibility of not less than 0.65 in high-hardness water. The detergent composition comprising this water-soluble polymer has a good detergency even in high-hardness water.
