Abstract: A liquid detergent composition containing water; surfactant in a concentration which would in the absence of electrolyte form a pourable hexagonal, or cubic phase at 20.degree. C.; and sufficient dissolved electrolyte to form a substantially Newtonian or optically isotropic liquid.
Abstract: An improvement is described in the carpet compositions which is especially effective in killing dust mites, contains an anionic detergent, an ethoxylated glycerol type compound, a hydrocarbon ingredient, at least one cosurfactant, an acaricidal agent, and water.
Abstract: Basic cleaning compositions using toxicologically-acceptable ingredients for cleaning fruits and vegetables are provided. Liquid formulations comprising detergent surfactant, such as oleate, alcohol ethoxylates, etc., and neutralized phosphoric acid are sprayed onto apples, lettuce and the like to remove soil and unwanted deposits, especially wax. Articles for applying the compositions to produce by spraying are disclosed. Use of the compositions for disinfectancy/sanitization of produce and cleaning/disinfectancy/sanitization of non-food inantimate surfaces are disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to water-soluble, acid-groups-containing graft copolymers which are at least partially biodegradable and are based on sugars and monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acids, sulfonic acids and/or phosphonic acids or the salts of said acids as well as optional further monomers. The present invention further relates to a process for producing the graft copolymers at temperatures of up to 200.degree. C. by means of-radical polymerization initiators, in that a total mixture of 5-60%-wt. mono-, di- and oligosaccharides, the derivatives thereof or the mixtures thereof, and 95-40%-wt. of a monomer mixture comprising at least one monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, at least one monoethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid, one monoethylenically unsaturated sulfuric acid ester and/or vinylphosphonic acid or the salts of said acids with monovalent cations, as well as optional further monomers is polymerized.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a laundry detergent composition, e.g, granular or liquid, comprising:a) from 5 to 70% of tensoactive, or mixtures thereof,b) from 2 to 95% builders;c) from 0 to 25% additives; andd) from 1 to 5000 ppm of a poly(oxyalkylene)-substituted colorant which is liquid in its undiluted state having the structure ABXYZ, where AB is a reactive dye moiety whereinA is an organic chromophore;B is an electrophilic reactive group covalently bonded to A directly or through a linking group;X is a nucleophilic linking group covalently bonding B and Y, selected from the group consisting of NR, O, S, and 4-oxyanilino (--HN--Ph--O--); where R is selected from the group consisting of H, alkyl, aryl, and YZ;Y is a poly(oxyalkylene)-containing moiety; andZ is a terminal group for Y.

Abstract: Disclosed are aqueous liquid detergent compositions comprising dispersed particles of a silicone-based suds suppressor system and a separately added moderately hydrophobic particulate silica stabilizing agent. Such a separately added stabilizing agent serves to retard coalescence and coagulation of the suds suppressor particles and thus enhances the storage stability of the suds suppressor-containing detergent compositions of this invention.

Abstract: A liquid laundry detergent composition containing not more than 50% water by weight of the total liquid detergent composition, from about 0.0001 to about 1.0% on an active basis of a lipolytic enzyme, and further comprising a specially selected soap selected from the group consisting of specific C.sub.8 -C.sub.24 secondary carboxyl materials; specific secondary carboxyl materials wherein the carboxyl substituent is on a ring hydrocarbyl unit; and specific C.sub.10 -C.sub.24 primary or secondary carboxyl compounds and specific C.sub.10 -C.sub.24 tertiary carboxyl compounds. A pretreatment laundering process using the composition is also disclosed.
