Solid Three-sided Glazing Strip Patents (Class 52/204.705)
  • Patent number: 9803414
Abstract: A window glazing system includes an elongate elastomeric element having a right triangular cross section defining two leg surfaces and a hypotenuse surface with chamfers on the legs at the hypotenuse. A window pane is placed in a window frame and the interior frame and the window pane are appropriately coated with construction adhesive. The legs of the elongate element are forced into the intersection of the pane and the interior frame to spread and to be retained by the adhesive. The adhesive is then additionally forced into the chamfers and the entire assembly cleaned with solvent.

  • Patent number: 9752375
Abstract: A method and apparatus for enabling a vacuum insulated glass (VIG) window to be substituted for and/or replace a non-vacuum insulated glass window in an existing window assembly frame structure is disclosed. A width of a VIG window is substantially less than that of existing non-vacuum insulated glass (IG) windows (e.g., a double, triple or quad pane windows). A replacement stop is provided that compensates for the difference between the larger width of a non-vacuum insulated glass window and a VIG window which has a smaller width, thereby enabling the VIG window to be easily and cost effectively installed in existing window configurations originally intended for non-vacuum insulated glass windows. The replacement stop may be used in the manufacture of VIG window units and/or to replace existing and/or already installed non-vacuum insulated glass windows.

  • Patent number: 7892616
Abstract: A glazing including a glazed element with at least one rigid element that may or may not be incorporated into an overmolded plastic part. The at least one rigid element has a linear thermal expansion coefficient of the same order of magnitude as that of the glazed element. Such a glazing may find, e.g., application to the addition of fixing supports or reinforcing elements to a glazing for buildings, self-propelled or towed terrestrial or marine vehicles.

  • Patent number: 7757455
Abstract: A spacer frame arrangement for insulating glass units, comprising a spacer profile body extending in a first direction and having a predetermined cross section in a plane perpendicular to the first direction, the predetermined cross section defining a hollow inner space of the spacer profile body with predetermined dimensions in the plane perpendicular to the first direction, and a connector comprising a connector section adapted to be inserted in the first direction into the hollow inner space of the spacer profile body by having a cross sectional shape perpendicular to the first direction which corresponds, with predetermined tolerances, to the cross section of the spacer profile body limiting the hollow inner space, at least the outer surface of the connector section facing the inner surface of the hollow inner space of the spacer profile body after insertion of the same being made of a fusable material, preferably a material fusable by melting the same, wherein the connector section is inserted into the h
