  • Patent number: 9318028
Abstract: A training door for breaching tools has a frame on which the door is hung by hinges at a hinge edge, while at an opposite edge being retained to a jamb by one or more non-shearing bolts. When the door is forced by a breaching tool at the bolt location, the jamb is forced laterally away from the door edge, against rubber mounts that allow limited jamb movement. As the door is forced in (or out, depending on its swing direction), with the jamb spread away somewhat the bolt will bend and fail pulling out of its socket. Replaceable sleeves are secured to the door edge, in several sections of the door to avoid breach tool damage on the door itself.

The movable member is positioned away from the door frame section during insertion and removal of the conduits from the door frame section, and is positioned adjacent the door frame section when the conduits are being retained. The dimensions and materials of the waveguide are selected to achieve attenuation of electromagnetic interference.

Abstract: A door threshold may include upper and lower members for sandwiching carpet and/or carpet padding therebetween. The threshold may, in certain example embodiments, grip the carpet in order to prevent it from being pulled out from between the upper and lower threshold members. Thus, in certain example instances, the need for tacks (or carpet tack strip(s)) proximate the threshold can be reduced and/or eliminated. In certain example embodiments of this invention, the threshold structure may include a locating bracket that is provided proximate the door frame for frame alignment and security purposes, and/or one or more pans located under the threshold for locating and/or securing purposes. Levelers, shims and/or the like may be used in certain example embodiments in order to compensate for non-level flooring proximate the door.
