The panel temporarily closes the opening while avoiding damage to the frame, and preventing intrusion through the store front frame. The corner bracket has spaced parallel flanges connected by perpendicular load bearing wall members. One bracket is received at each corner of the store front frame and the load bearing wall members bear against adjacent frame members that form a corner. • Patent number: 4936068
Abstract: Tubular structural elements and assemblies comprising an outer tube and a concentric inner tube connected to each outer by ribs and having very high stability. Lengthwise recessed groove spaces are provided between the ribs, covered on the outside by removable strips or sectors of the outer tube and designed to receive flat structural elements. One or more of the groove spaces, which are sealed off by the strips or sectors of the outer tube, can be exposed by removal of the covering strips or sectors so that flat structural elements such as walls or facade panels, glass panes, or the like can be inserted where desired. The tubular structural element is sealable at the ends by end caps or sealing elements, or is connectable by axial or branched coupling parts with other tubular sections connectable at various angles, to erect halls, room partitions, pavilions, or the like.

  • Patent number: 4928470
Abstract: An assembly piece for connecting metallic carpentry sections includes an angle piece having two parallel quadrants and an arced middle portion. A flat angle bar defined by two perpendicular portions is attached between the quadrants. A respective perpendicular portion extends from between the quadrants parallel to a respective side of the quadrants. Each perpendicular portion has two radially directed arms separated by a radial space opening away from the other perpendicular portion. With this construction, the two arms of each perpendicular portion are received in suitably provided radial runners of the carpentry section. Each arm also includes an aperture therein so that a screw passing through the carpentry section is received therein to hold the carpentry section to the angled piece. A flat bar extending perpendicular from one quadrant and having an aperture therein is also preferably provided in order to attach another carpentry section to the angled piece.

Abstract: Corner joiner units for connecting standard two-by-four lumber and the manner of making structures from these is depicted. The corner units are of plastic and have two horizontal sleeves for receiving horizontal two-by-fours and at least one vertical sleeve for receiving the butt end of a vertical two-by-four. The plastic unit includes internal walls and internal openings between the sleeves, so that each two-by-four received in the horizontal sleeves is in direct wood-to-wood contact with approximately half of the butt surface of the vertical two-by-four, so as to directly transfer vertical forces there between, without the joiner unit being subject to such vertical forces. Several variations of such joiner units are disclosed for different types of corners, as is a framework made from such members and two-by-fours.

  • Patent number: 4837997
Abstract: A sealing system for sealing the joints defined by three intersecting structural surfaces such as the top surface of a tub and two adjoining walls includes three generally L-shaped sealing strips and a corner piece for covering the corner where the joints meet and the end portions of the three sealing strips. The sealing strips and corner piece are held in place against the structural surfaces with a suitable adhesive and have flexible lips along their edges which press against the underlying surfaces adjacent the joints to be sealed. The corner piece has three connected walls, each one generally parallel to one of the three structural surfaces which define the joints to be sealed. Two lands project rearwardly from the corner piece, each land projecting toward a respective one of the structural surfaces.
