Abstract: A wall member useful in forming a wall panel system includes a pair of outer walls held spaced apart and fixed together at a pair of opposed side edges, one of the side edges being provided with a first connecting structure and the other of the side edges being provided with a second connecting structure. The first and second connecting structure includes a number of projections secured to and extending outwardly from the side edges and constructed with snap fit elements separately located from the outer walls. The wall member is adapted to be joined to an adjacently disposed wall member of similar structure by direct snap fit mating engagement between one of the first and second connecting structure at one of the second edges of the wall member and the other of the first and second connecting structure on a facing side edge of the adjacently disposed wall member.

Abstract: A covering unit for use in combination with similar units for covering a surface with a natural random look, the unit having an hexagonal body comprising first, second and third pairs of opposed and parallel sides. Each side has a central point of angular symmetry. The second and third pairs are similar to each other while the first pair is different from the others. The sides of the second and third pairs are provided with at least one split deviation along their length arranged so that each side of the second pair is a rotational image of the sides of the third pair, whereby in use in combination with other covering units: each side is matingly engageable with the sides of an equivalent pair of a neighboring unit; and the unit has a central point of angular symmetry and is matingly engageable with a plurality of neighboring unit.

Abstract: A cementitious, convex structural block for forming parabolic walls is disclosed. The block utilizes a key and the keyway to facilitate placement and to add strength to the wall. The parabolic shape of the wall increases its compressive strength and when used underground as a seal or stopping in mining applications channels force from blast waves and dammed water into the mine shaft ribs. When constructed from a geopolymer, the block is lighter and has a smaller carbon footprint than cement.

Abstract: A surface covering unit includes at least one face comprised of at least one primary rotational tessellation element. The rotational tessellation element includes at least two pairs of sides, and the sides in each pair of sides have the same length and are images of one another. The sides of a first pair of sides extend from a first vertex and are rotationally spaced from each other, and the sides of a second pair of sides extend from a second vertex and are rotationally spaced from each other. The sides of the first and second pairs of sides have two or more straight line segments or complex curves, and are not a single straight line or a single curve. One pair of sides has a length different from the other pair of sides. The surface covering has a natural appearance such that a repeating pattern is not readily apparent.
