Abstract: The problem to be solved is to provide a nondrying polymer hydrogel, which is not dried under atmospheric conditions and has excellent mechanical properties, and a method for producing the nondrying polymer hydrogel. A nondrying polymer hydrogel having both excellent nondrying properties and mechanical properties (e.g., excellent elongation properties, compression properties, and surface adhesiveness) can be produced by using a nondrying polymer hydrogel including a deliquescent substance in such a manner that the water vapor pressure shown by the polymer hydrogel is equal to or lower than the water vapor partial pressure in the atmosphere, in particular, by allowing a deliquescent substance to be contained at a high concentration in a polymer hydrogel having a network structure formed by a polymer of a water-soluble radically-polymerizable organic monomer having a specific chemical composition and a delaminated water-swellable clay mineral.

Abstract: An addition curable adhesive silicone composition containing a phosphor dispersed uniformly therein is provided. The dispersive state of the phosphor remains stable over time. The composition, in an uncured state at room temperature, is either a solid or a semisolid, and is therefore easy to handle, and is suited to an adhesive silicone composition sheet which is able to be formed easily on an LED chip using a conventional assembly apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and more particularly, to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, which comprises (a) 100 weight parts of an acrylic copolymer, (b) 0.001 to 30 weight parts of an antistatic agent; and (c) 0.01 to 10 weight parts of a corrosion inhibitor, thereby being optically transparent, causing durability and reliability not to change, and simultaneously improving antistatic performance and preventing generation of corrosion although the adhesive composition comes into contact with a metal surface.

  • Patent number: 7736764
Abstract: A coating for preparing a floor underlayment to receive an adhesive includes a water-soluble, latex polymer, a defoamer and a dual-function surface enhancing agent. The surface enhancing agent includes a set accelerator that also functions to cross link the adhesive, hardening the surface of the underlayment using at least two mechanisms. One embodiment of the invention is a dry mixture that forms a coating when added to water. The dry mixture includes from about 10% to about 50% of the redispersible polymer by weight based on the mixture, from about 50% to about 90% of the surface enhancing agent and from about 0.15% to about 0.25% of the defoamer by weight based on the mixture. Other embodiments describe a liquid coating formed by adding from about 1 to about 8 parts water to 1 part of the dry mixture by volume based on the mixture.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a new granulating process which can recover desired coagulated latex particles with a significantly excellent yield, and can suppress secondary coagulation under the condition having a higher temperature than a softening point of a polymer, without deteriorating the original quality of the polymer itself. A process for producing coagulated latex particles which can suppress the secondary coagulation under the condition having the broad temperature range, without deteriorating the original quality of the polymer itself by spraying or dropping a polymer latex into a gas-phase containing an inorganic salt and/or an acid, and a dispersant in an aerosol form, and dropping or feeding the droplets of the polymer latex into an aqueous phase containing a dispersant.

  • Patent number: 7705069
Abstract: An ink jet ink composition comprised an anti-curl agent and ink jet printing processing using such ink jet ink composition. The ink jet ink composition includes a hyperbranched polymer. The hyperbranched polymer acts as an anti-curl agent to control curl during a printing process. The anti-curl agent, i.e., the hyperbranched polymer, may be present in the ink amounts less than conventional anti-curl agents and still effectively control curl without detrimentally effecting intercolor bleed control water fastness or drying. Additionally, the ink composition do not exhibit increases in viscosity, and problems associated therewith, that occur in ink composition using conventional anti-curl agents.
