Tie String Or Wire Patents (Class 53/138.6)
  • Patent number: 11827408
Abstract: An elongated object label applicator has a driver operably connected to a wrapping mechanism. The wrapping mechanism has a plurality of guide rollers spaced about a central portion. A belt is tensioned around the guide rollers and across an opening in the central portion through which an object to labeled is received. The belt is deflectable against an elastic force such that the belt can be recessed with the central portion by a force provided by the object to be labeled. The wrapping mechanism is driven by the driver to rotate the guide rollers about an axis of rotation of the wrapping mechanism passing through the central portion. The wrapping mechanism orbits the object to be labeled located within the central portion.

  • Patent number: 10793305
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a packed bale of highly compacted filter tow material. A compressed filter tow bale is first provided in cuboid shape in a baler. Then the compressed filter tow bale is packaged, having an air-tight packaging sleeve fully enclosing the compressed filter tow bale. According to the invention, the packaging sleeve is applied to the compressed filter tow bales such that at least 80%, preferably at least 90% and more preferably at least 95%, of the packaging sleeve is directly adjacent to the highly compacted filter tow material and touches, or is at least spaced less than 15 mm from, the highly compacted filter tow material.

Abstract: A method and system for automatic filling are provided. The system includes a drive assembly and a source of bladders to be filled wherein the bladders are joined in serial arrangement to a feeding web. The web is configured to be moved through the system using the drive assembly. The system further includes a nozzle configured to receive a flow of filling fluid and direct the flow of fluid into each bladder in turn and a closure device positioned proximate the nozzle wherein the closure device is configured to secure each bladder when filled such that each bladder remains filled after discharge from the system. The system also includes a trigger assembly configured to activate the closure device at a predetermined level of filling of each bladder.

  • Patent number: 8783318
Abstract: A wrapper assembly is disclosed that can be used, for example, to wrap a label around a wire. In the wrapper assembly, a pair of supports are spaced apart from one another and a plurality of rollers are disposed there between. The wrapper assembly further includes at least one yoke. Both the pair of supports and the yoke have positioning slots formed therein that support the rollers. By moving the yoke or yokes relative to the supports, the positioning slots in the yoke or yokes shifts relative to the positioning slots in the supports and thereby adjusting the positions of rollers relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 7124561
Abstract: A rib (206c) is formed on a ceiling surface of a tape guide mounted on a driver handle of a binding machine for gardening, and two plate springs (224a, 224b) are mounted on the bottom plate portion of the tape guide. The plate spring (224a), which is situated on the downstream side, is elastically contacted with the rib (206c) to thereby allow the plate spring (224a) and rib (206c) to hold tape (T) between them, while the upstream-side plate spring (224b) is contacted with the tape. When a tape roll is rotated reversely and the tape is thereby pulled back, tension is applied to the tape existing between the rib (206c) and tape roll, and the upstream-side plate spring (224b) is raised up due to the friction of the tape to curve a passage of the tape, which increases the frictional resistance of the tape to thereby be able to prevent the tape (T) against reverse movement.

  • Patent number: 7013614
Abstract: A binding machine is provided having a base member with a bifurcated shape in the front side thereof, into which an item can be inserted; a tie feed mechanism that feeds out a tie-like member of a predetermined length in the width direction of the base member so as to transverse an opening formed between the bifurcations of the base member; a tie guide mechanism having a pair of tie guide members capable of moving respectively in the substantially front/rear direction of the base member at the side areas of the opening thereby to press the front end side and the fed-out end side of the tie-like member toward the rear side by the respective front end portions, and a guide mechanism that guides each tie guide member toward the rear side substantially parallel to the opening, and turns the respective front end portions around toward the rear side of the opening thereby to make the respective front end portions closer to each other at the rear side of the opening; and a tying mechanism, provided at the rear side

  • Patent number: 6772574
Abstract: A means for binding wire around an object. The means comprises a feeding unit (2) with a feeding wheel (11) for feeding and stretching the wire (3). The measuring of fed wire length normally takes place in that the feeding wheel (11) rotates through a predetermined number of revolutions. Sliding between the wire (3) and feeding wheel (11), however, implies that the position of the wire cannot be determined accurately. As a solution of this problem a separate measuring means (5) is provided for continuously measuring the fed wire length (3), where the measuring is carried out without the measuring means (5) feeding the wire (3).

  • Publication number: 20040045259
Abstract: The instant invention comprises an apparatus and method for wrapping a load under tension with a web of stretch wrap flexible material and then binding the wrapping material to the load by compressing the end of the flexible material into a rope-like configuration. The rope formed is wound around the load at least one turn. A second turn of the rope around the load is then bound to the first rope with a mechanical twisting tie around the two ropes to prevent unwrapping of the load during transit and storage. A hot wire cutting mechanism cuts the rope and the bound two ropes snap back into position against the wrapped load from the force of the stretch wrap tension.
