Cinched Or Wiped Around Initial Wrap Patents (Class 53/210)
  • Patent number: 11751510
Abstract: A baling machine including a bale-forming chamber for receiving plant matter and forming it into a bale. The bale-forming chamber includes one or more rotatable, bale-forming rollers and a feed mechanism for feeding a flexible wrapping material into the bale-forming chamber for wrapping a bale therein. The baling machine further includes an acoustic or vibration sensor that is configured for generating an output. The acoustic or vibration sensor generates an output signal that is characteristic of operation of the baling machine while wrapping material is being fed into the bale-forming chamber. The status of the output signal indicates whether the wrapping material is being wrapped onto the bale or around the one or more rotatable, bale-forming rollers.

Abstract: A film clamping and cutting device of a film wrapping machine is revealed. A connecting plate of a film clamping and cutting unit is located by a braking part. Moreover, by moment of a rotating machinery before stopping, a film clamping and cutting unit main body assembled on the rotating machinery is driven to continue moving. Under the movement of the unit main body, a pulling force is generated by a pull cord arranged between the connecting plate and a vertical-wheel of the unit main body. The pulling force rotates the vertical-wheel so that both a film clamping and cutting rod assembled with the vertical-wheel and a clamp fall toward a blade block to clamp and cut off a film. The film is also pulled and cut by an elastic recovery force of the film clamping and cutting rod. Therefore automatic film clamping and cutting is carried out.

Abstract: Packets of cigarettes with a predominating longitudinal axis, presenting two larger side faces, two smaller flank faces and two end faces, are overwrapped by a unit incorporating a first conveyor rotatable about a relative axis, on which a sheet of transparent film is folded initially around the side and flank faces of each packet by one of a set of peripheral holder mechanisms pivotable about respective axes parallel to the axis of the conveyor. Each holder mechanism supports a relative packet, gripped between a pair of jaws and disposed with the longitudinal axis parallel to the axis of the conveyor, and comprises a clip serving to grip and retain one end of the sheet, operating in conjunction with suction holes by which the remaining free end of the sheet is attracted and restrained and thus kept perfectly under control during the transfer of the packet to a second conveyor that will complete the initial overwrapping step.

  • Patent number: 7284360
Abstract: A method for filling a flexible container with a flowable material is provided, including the steps of filling the flexible container, suspending the flexible container, transferring the weight of the flexible container from being suspended to being supported by a support surface, and applying a hoop force to the flexible container to substantially maintain a configuration of the flexible container. The flexible container can be a bag-type container for containing flowable material such as chemicals, food products, agricultural products, and plastic pellets. As the container is lowered from the suspended position to a bottom-supported position, the hoop force is applied around the perimeter as the perimeter changes during transfer of the flexible container from being suspend to being bottom-supported. The hoop force can be applied by stretch wrap. Alternatively, the first flexible container can be lowered into a second flexible container.

  • Patent number: 7036289
Abstract: A wrapping machine and/or a top foil wrapping machine machine frame, which is supported on a fixed base and has upright vertical columns and horizontal cross members connecting the vertical columns to each other. Each vertical column has at least two column parts detachably joined together end on end, the column parts including a lower column part and an upper column part. Only the lower column parts of the vertical columns are connected to each other by the cross members while the upper column parts are not connected to each other. Abstract: A device for tensioning web, such as a plastics web dispensed from a shuttle in a wrapping machine, is disclosed. The wrapping machine usually includes an endless track positioned about an object to be wrapped and the shuttle travels on the endless track, dispensing the web as it goes. The rate at which web is dispensed varies as the shuttle progresses around the track and is dependent upon the shape of the track and the shape of the object to be wrapped. The web tensioning device attempts to maintain a constant tension in the web and includes a pair of rollers covered with resilient material. The rollers are urged together to form a nip with the resilient covering of the rollers compressed in the nip. The web is fed between the nip of the rollers.
