Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for transporting ready-cut and filled pieces of tube. In order to simplify the structural design of a device for transporting ready-cut and filled pieces of tube within a machine for producing double-chamber bags filled with brewable material, having a transport wheel, which has distributed over its circumference a plurality of double-chamber bag forming sets comprising a leading arm and a trailing arm and a profile part provided therebetween and being radially movable and supporting a bottom of a double-chamber bag, and which is rotatably mounted under a cover arranged in the vicinity of the upper vertex of the transport wheel, the present invention proposes that the arms are swivelably mounted eccentrically to the axis of rotation of the transport wheel and that the arms of adjacent double-chamber bag forming sets are swivelably mounted on a common swivel axis.

Abstract: A carousel labeling machine for pre-glued labels on a ribbon is provided. The machine includes a label cutting and transfer drum fed by a roller for unwinding the label ribbon from a reel, and rotating in step with the carousel, in the sense that the unwinding roller provides the drum with the label intended for the container that rests on a specific receptacle of the carousel. A cutter of the drum is actuated so as to cut the label when a photocell sends a clearance signal as a consequence of the presence of the container. If at least one container is missing on the corresponding receptacle, the photocell sends a command to the unwinding roller to feed the label ribbon to the cutting and transfer drum at a speed reduced with respect to the normal speed.

The wrapping wheel also has a third loading station to load, in succession, second wrapping sheets of the wrapping sheets into the peripheral pockets, thus reducing the bulk of a packaging machine.

Abstract: An operating wheel of a packing machine comprises an annular drum, a number of through pockets carried by the annular drum and each for receiving a respective product, a first drive for rotating the annular drum in steps to feed the pockets along an annular path extending through a loading station and an unloading station, first and second pusher for engaging respective pockets at the loading station and the unloading station respectively, a second electric drive for imparting to the pushers respective substantially radial reciprocating movements to and from respective withdrawn rest positions inside the annular drum and through the respective pockets, a first safety device for preventing the annular drum from rotating when at least one of the pushers engages a respective pocket, and a second safety device for preventing the pushers from moving from the respective withdrawn positions when the annular drum is rotating.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a hinged lid side by side vertically hinged cigarette pack having a first bundle and a second bundle of cigarettes is described. The machinery includes a first machine to form a first foil wrapped bundle surrounded by a first inner frame, a second machine for forming a second foil wrapped bundle surrounded by a second inner frame and a third machine for combining the first and second foil wrapped bundle into a single hinged lid side by side vertically hinged pack.
