The dunnage product includes a bracket engageable with a shipping container, a shaft connected to the bracket, and a number of elongated flexible members movable along the shaft. The elongated flexible members can be placed between the manufactured products during the packing process. The dunnage product is preferably reusable.

Abstract: A container candle having improved burn performance and fragrance delivery is described. The container candle includes a container, a non-cylindrical insert with wick, and a fill material. The non-cylindrical insert provides auto-centering of the wick in the container candle and even burning of the candle by centrally positioning and retention of the wick in the container. The non-cylindrical insert has a top surface which transitions into tapered side walls which in turn transition to a base having a bottom surface, with the top surface being of a lesser diameter than the diameter of the bottom surface. An upper portion of the wick extends beyond the top surface of the insert. The fill material is situated in the container around the insert in an amount at least substantially sufficient to cover the insert but not cover the upper portion of the wick extending out of the insert.

Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a package comprising a lower film that contains at least first and second compartments separated by a partition. The first compartment can substantially contain a food product and the second compartment can substantially contain a pouch. Specifically, the pouch comprises at least one rupturable seal and houses one or more food additives. An upper film is sealed to the lower film about the perimeter of the package via outer perimeter seal. In addition, the package comprises at least one inner perimeter seal that cooperates with the pouch rupturable seals and functions to isolate the first and second compartments until it is desired to intermix the food additive and the food product.

Pill information corresponding to one or more pills for a patient to be packaged together may be obtained, and non-volume fill factors may be obtained. The volume-based fill pattern may be selected and indicated to be a cuboid volume or a packing parameter fill pattern. Pill and multi-dose medicament container data may be obtained and used to determine a fill pattern that is communicated to a filling entity for execution. The present disclosure may operate in accordance with multi-dose blister packs, and systems and methods of filling said blister packs.

When stacked, the upper bin is held to the lower bin by a combination of a channel on the lower rear portion of the base fitting over a handle resting upon an upper portion of the rear wall. A lower lip on the lower portion of the rear wall aligns with the handle and substantially prevents frontwards and backwards motion of the upper bin. A portion of the handle fits within a top open portion of the rear wall. The bin also has a plurality of inverted “V” shaped liner retainers.

The memory card holder includes a transparent static-free plastic sheet divided into sections. Each section has a heat sealed top loadable open-access pocket with a large overhanging flap in the front for storing the memory chips/cards. Each section has a top loadable open-access end such that each memory card can have a date, description and location information file to back up the memory card data. Abstract: Embodiments provide an apparatus and methods for providing a nonlabor-intensive process for preventing backfill entering, or environmental factors eroding, a cavity formed in the ground. Preventing cavity degradation involves constructing a chemically-inflatable bag that separates two or more chemical reactants by creases and cylindrical coils formed in the chemically-inflatable bag. The creases typically act as watertight releasable seals that separate the chemical reactants while the cylindrical coils resist unintentional compromise of the releasable seals. However, the cylindrical coils are designed to give way upon the user applying an unfurling action on the chemically-inflatable bag; thus, furnishing a passageway for the chemical reactants to intermix and initiate a chemical reaction. The chemical reaction produces carbon dioxide as a by-product, which expands the chemically-inflatable bag from a collapsed condition to an inflated condition.

In some embodiments, a spring disc is included in the packages to help present the contact lens to the user when the package is opened. The contact lens packages may be adhered or clipped to a card or other carrier sheet, and may be housed in a number of different secondary packages.

Abstract: The present invention provides a unique container for a candle with matches and a method of manufacturing an inexpensive canned candle by the use of conventional canning methods that can be stored for emergency and disaster situations for extended periods of time where the candle and a method of lighting them are easily available. The canned candle will be constructed of a container made from aluminum or steel that has been pressed formed in one piece. It will have a conventionally sealed pop-top lid used in the canning process of both foods and soft drinks, but not normally used in the process of manufacturing candles.

Apertures are formed between the upper and lower portions of the cup such that the contents of the cup may mix with the contents of the main container following removal of an inner cap attached to the cup, and agitation of the main container. The cup and neck are sized to provide a void therebetween, thereby also permitting the substances to mix.

Abstract: The introduction of a heterogeneous solid substance, such as biomass, into a container which is under pressure is difficult. The rotary valves and airlocks used hitherto have substantial deficiencies. The use of standard screw conveyors has hitherto failed due to the fact that a cavity formed behind the screw helix in which gas could escape from the pressurized container. These deficiencies are resolved in that two independently controllable screws are arranged in a screw conveyor pipe. Between the primary screw driven by a motor and the secondary screw driven by another motor, the biomass is compacted by high pressure as a consequence of the different revolution speeds of the motors in such a way that an almost gas-tight plug is formed. The invention is particularly well-suited for the introduction of biomass into a gasification installation which is under pressure, for the production of synthesis gas.

Abstract: A thermal barrier liner is provided to maintain a beverage within a container at a desired temperature. The thermal barrier liner is installed so to make intimate contact with the internal surface of the container. The thermal barrier liner may be provided in various embodiments including a closed cell substrate, a base layer having gas or liquid filled microcapsules, a base layer having microencapsulated solid-liquid phase change material, or combinations thereof. In the closed cell substrate embodiments, when the thermal barrier liner is under pressure within the container such as prior to the container being opened, the thermal barrier liner maintains a minimum profile or thickness. However, when the container is opened and as pressure is released within the container, the barrier liner expands to achieve equilibrium. The expanded or thickened barrier liner provides an effective thermal barrier thereby maintaining the beverage at a desired temperature for a longer period of time.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for filling thin-wall containers including a lid to be opened for use, particularly a can, wherein the container requires an internal pressure to provide a necessary stability in the filled, closed state. The container is tightly closed after filling using a lid to be opened for use and is filled with filling material and a substance used as a pressurizing gas at room temperature before the container is tightly closed. In addition to a solid or liquid first filling material, the container is filled with solid carbon dioxide as a further filling material, wherein the carbon dioxide forms the pressurizing gas after the thin-walled container is tightly closed.

Abstract: A machine, such as a phase change or solid ink printing apparatus, has at least one multiple supply unit in the form of an ink stick disposed therein. The ink stick has an electronically-readable memory device associated therewith, and the memory device has stored therein electronic data related to the ink stick and readable by the machine. The memory device may be attached to the ink stick and removed before the ink stick is used for printing in the machine. In another aspect, the memory device is attached to a container for the ink stick. The container may be a cartridge for use in the machine, or a container for packaging the ink stick. The machine may include a coupler configured to read electronic data from the memory device while the memory device is positioned external to the printing apparatus, thus allowing the machine to verify the suitability of the ink stick before it is installed in the machine.

Abstract: In an automated prescription dispensing and packing system, empty prescription bottles are labeled and loaded in assigned locations in carriers. Pills are automatically dispensed into the prescription bottles in the carriers. Ranks of carriers containing filled prescription bottles are assembled at stations where the bottles are unloaded and packed into shipping containers with literature printed by the system. Multiple bottles of an order are automatically packed in the same shipping container.
