Visual Or Audible Alarm Patents (Class 53/508)
  • Patent number: 4472922
Abstract: A preheated carrier strip of thermoplastic material passes successively through a molding station in which blisters are formed therein, a filling station in which goods to be packaged are introduced into these blisters, a sealing station in which a metallic cover strip is fused onto the carrier strip for hermetically closing the filled blisters, and a cutting station in which the resulting composite tape is divided into individual packages each having one or more rows of blisters. The tape is positively entrained by the two transport rollers, which have peripheral indentations engaged by its blisters, and forms a loop of variable length between these rollers to allow for their instantaneous speed differences. A first photodetector scans the carrier strip between the filling and sealing stations and, on sensing an empty blister, causes the actuation of a perforator punching a hole into a part of the cover strip subsequently coming to overlie the incompletely filled row of blisters.

  • Patent number: 4441302
Abstract: A control and monitoring system for cigarette packaging machines comprises a control station (1) connected in cascade to each of a plurality of remote stations (2 and 3) in turn, in a ring. The control station 1 supplies an interrogation signal to a D-type latch (20, 30) of the first remote station, which changes state on the next clock pulse edge and applies an interrogation signal to the D-type latch of the second remote station so that the stations are sequentially interrogated in essentially non-overlapping time periods. An interrogated station communicates with the control center (1) via an information line (16) either to receive machine control signals to be passed on to a machine or machine part with which the remote station is associated, or to send machine fault signals indicating a fault in the associated machine or machine part.

  • Patent number: 4249363
Abstract: Herein disclosed is an incorrect coin number detector to be used with a coin wrapping machine for detecting whether or not a preset number of piled coins are correctly wrapped when the both ends of wrapping paper are fastened by means of a pair of fastening claws. The incorrect coin number detector includes stroke setting means for setting the stroke of the one of the fastening claws and accordingly the shortest spacing inbetween. Further inclusive is actuating means for moving the one fastening claw toward the other with the aid of a coil spring. Still further inclusive is incorrectness detecting means having a detecting switch for generating, when actuated by the fastening claw moving mechanism through an actuating lever, the signals which are indicative of the incorrectness in the number of the piled coins being wrapped.

  • Patent number: 4224777
Abstract: A coin packaging machine for packaging different kinds of coins is provided with means for supplying coins, means for transporting the supplied coins while selecting a kind of coins out during transportation, means for accumulating transported coins, delivery means for receiving accumulated coins and delivering the coins from receiving position to packaging position, means for supplying a web of paper within packaging zone and means for clamping the packaged coins. The coin packaging machine further includes means for making various adjustments of the above mentioned means in accordance with the thickness and the width of the coins to be packaged. The coin packaging machine is also provided with a packaging paper near end detecting device. The detecting device is constructed so that when no packaging paper is present, an alarm is issued and the machine is stopped after the completion of the packaging operation.
