Abstract: An improved crop conveying drum for a drive disc cutter mounted directly to the drive shaft mechanism providing rotational power to the cutterbar. The crop conveying drum includes a pair of mating segments, each forming a half of the drum. Each segment is formed from a single piece of plate material and stamped into the desired curvilinear configuration. A central mounting portion of each segment is contoured to match the drive shaft mechanism and allow connection thereto. Holes in the central mounting portion allow insertion fasteners to connect the drum segments directly to the drive shaft mechanism so that the crop conveying drum rotates in unison with the drive shaft. By forming the drum segments from a single plate of material, material characteristics can be more easily selected or more quickly modified compared to the fabricated weldments known in the art.

Abstract: The working vehicle with front-mount mower according to the present invention makes it possible to secure, in the center in a vehicle widthwise direction, a free space used for positioning a discharge duct without being affected by a pump-side transmission mechanism that transmits rotational power from a driving power source to a hydraulic pump main body and a PTO-side transmission mechanism that transmits rotational power from the driving power source to a mower. Accordingly, it is possible to improve design freedom of the discharge duct, thereby eliminating the use of or downsizing a blower, which has been vital in the conventional techniques.

  • Patent number: 7398636
Abstract: A wheel mounted grain harvester includes a harvesting head for depositing grain in a grain handling assembly comprised of a plurality of grain moving parts. Control means are located on the harvester for selectively interrupting grain flow along the grain moving parts causing harvested grain from a new separate row segment to temporarily accumulate. Means are provided for transporting the harvested grain from separate row segments into separate collection bins permit the separate evaluation of the harvested grain in each row segment. Means are provided for moving the harvester along the row at a constant rate of speed to avoid the necessity of stopping the harvester between row segments to effect the separate evaluation of the harvested grain. The selective interruption by the control means is accomplished by either interrupting at least one of the grain moving parts or by selectively closing a movable blocking wall mounted on the harvester.

  • Patent number: 7343726
Abstract: A harvesting machine with a discharge assembly for the transfer of harvested crop to a transport vehicle includes an actuator that is adapted to move the discharge assembly about a horizontal axis, thereby adjusting the height of the outlet end of the discharge assembly. A stop element can be moved between an active position and an inactive position. In the active position, the stop element limits the range of movement of the actuator such that the discharge assembly cannot be moved to a position that is lower than a lowest active position. In the inactive position, the stop element does not limit the range of movement of the actuator, thus the discharge assembly can be moved to a position that is lower than the lowest active position. Therefore, the discharge assembly remains above the lowest active position during the harvesting operation.
