Revolving Rake Patents (Class 56/367)
  • Patent number: 4922699
Abstract: This invention relates to a farm machine with a toolholding frame including a crosswise support provided with at least two rotors which is jointed to a coupling device by way of a pin.The crosswise support is made up of a central part and two lateral parts jointed to the ends of the central part by way of substantially horizontal pins. Each of these lateral parts is provided with a coupling device having three hooking points for connection to a rotor.

  • Patent number: 4922700
Abstract: A windrowing rotor 1 is driven in rotation and equipped with tools to windrow plants that are on the ground. A cover 26 is jointed on a beam 2 by a hinge pin 33 that is at least approximately horizontal and that is at least approximately perpendicular to the beam 2. A central support pin 7 is housed in a bore 25 in the cover 26 so as to be able to turn during work in relation to the hinge pin 33 together with a control cam 16, a frame 18, and small wheels 19, 20, and 21.

  • Patent number: 4920735
Abstract: An operational carrier for a wheel-type hay rake has an upper frame with one end for single point attachment to the draw bar of a towing vehicle. A lower frame is disposed beneath the upper frame and pivotally connected at one end to the upper frame. A first linkage is pivotally connected at one end to the upper frame and has an opposite end for attachment to the frame of the hay rake. The lower frame is provided with means for pivotally attaching an opposite end of the lower frame to the frame of the hay rake. Hydraulic means mounted on said upper frame has a piston rod connected to the lower frame for raising the lower frame to move the frame of the hay rake when said first linkage is connected to the frame of the hay rake in a substantially vertical direction from a raking position to a transport position.

  • Patent number: 4785614
Abstract: An agricultural implement is disclosed for raking and tedding a swath of hay into a tedded windrow with a single pass of the implement along the swath of hay. The implement includes a plurality of circular rake wheels and a rotatable tedder, both mounted on a common base frame. First and second height adjustment mechanisms are included for the selective, independent adjustment of the height of the tedder and the height of the rake wheels. A lateral adjustment mechanism is provided for selectively adjusting the lateral relationship of the implement with respect to a towing vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4685282
Abstract: A hay rake assembly is characterized by the use of two, three, or even more individual hay rakes which are towed behind a single towing vehicle. Each of the rakes is on an individual gooseneck which is under hydraulic control from the towing vehicle so that it will swing out to establish its own swath, independently of the other rakes, on command from the operator of the towing vehicle. This yields great flexibility in the raking of hay and combining of windrows, and the apparatus is also characterized in that each rake may be reversed on its gooseneck so that the hay rake is converted into a tedding machine. Several other angular and elevational adjustment of the rake basket, most of which are hydraulic, also represent part of the invention.

  • Patent number: 4345422
Abstract: A hay-gathering machine for pulling windrows of hay, turning the hay over, and scattering it, having a rake-wheel comprising a plurality of tine-carriers radially directed outwards from an almost vertically-pointed swivel pin, wherein the tine-carriers at their outer ends are provided with rake-tines. At the end of each tine-carrier, which is directed toward the swivel pin of the rake-wheel, there is attached at least one control lever, which, for the pulling of windrows, is connected with a first open control channel in a tensional or a form-locking, or in a purely form-locking manner. The tensional or form-locking connection of the control lever with the first open control channel is made by means of a spring or the like, while the purely form-locking engagement of the control lever into the first control channel is made by means of cooperation of the roller on the control lever with a guide way which is parallel to the first control channel.

  • Patent number: 4245457
Abstract: The disclosure is of a haymaking machine with two or more rake heads, a chassis, and a beam, and also means which automatically and simultaneously cause a pivoting of the chassis of the rotary rake heads about a substantially horizontal spindle of a pivot when the said chassis is pivoted about a substantially vertical spindle of the said pivot to modify its orientation in relation to the direction of travel of the machine when the latter is changed from the central tedding position into the lateral windrowing position and vice versa.
