Patent number: 5038556Abstract: A feeder chain for the supply of all types of consumable material to units that move on tracks. The chain comprises a plurality of chain links and has a continuous inner space for feed lines, whereby the chain links have pivotably interconnected outer side pieces that are provided with stops for delimiting the mutual pivot angle. Each chain link is provided with two detachable crosspieces for interconnecting the outer side pieces thereof. The crosspieces are tubular pieces that are insertable via a force fit onto projections of the outer side pieces.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1990Date of Patent: August 13, 1991Assignee: Kabelschlepp Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventors: Werner Moritz, Volker Jud, Herbert Wehler, Karl-Georg Wisser, Willibald Weber, Paul-Werner Mack

Patent number: 5020313Abstract: A guide or feeder chain for power and supply lines is provided. The chain includes chain links formed from two spaced-apart side pieces or link members that are disposed parallel to one another and are interconnected via crosspieces. Successive chain links are pivotably interconnected where they overlap one another. So that the chain links can slide on one another without becoming worn or generating noise, sliding skids are detachably secured to narrow sides of the side pieces or link members.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1990Date of Patent: June 4, 1991Assignee: Kabelschlepp Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventors: Werner Moritz, Volker Jud, Georg Wisser

Patent number: 4813224Abstract: In an energy supply chain for receiving cables, hoses and the like, the chain links are made box-shaped and are provided alternately with studs and circular orifices on their side walls, and consist entirely of plastic material, without the use of additional connecting elements. Each chain link consists of a pair of mirror-inverted side plates and of a pair of identically equal crosspieces, all of which made of plastic material. In a modified embodiment only the side plates of every second chain link are connected to one another by means of crosspieces, while the side pieces of the intervening chain links carry fork-shaped projections for receiving a flexible band. The afore-said two bands extending on both sides of the energy supply chain and over the entire length of the same, cover the interior against dirt or water splashes penetrating from outside.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1986Date of Patent: March 21, 1989Inventor: Gunther C. Patent number: 4800714Abstract: A guide chain for carrying lines that supply all types of expendable material from a fixed connection to a movable consuming device. In order to provide the guide chain with a periphery that is as completely closed as possible and has as smooth a surface as possible, and in order to be able to assemble the individual parts in a straightforward manner, two basic variants are proposed. In one variant, recesses are provided in the side pieces and are respectively concentric to a pivot axis between that side piece and an adjacent side piece, with externally circular cylindrical cover elements being inserted in the recesses to cover horizontal gaps between adjacent chain links. Caps are provided to connect adjacent side pieces, with each cap having a concentric rim that extends into the recesses and grooves that interconnect the latter. Each cap also has projecting members that are disposed between stops of adjacent chain links. These projecting members limit the maximum pivot angle of adjacent chain links.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1987Date of Patent: January 31, 1989Assignee: Kabelschlepp GmbHInventor: Werner Moritz

Patent number: 4770008Abstract: A plastic watchband made of individual links, having greater variety in design and secureness of fit is provided. The plastic watch band is joined of a plurality of separate links, each link having an engagement projection on one platform for engaging an enjoining link through an engagement opening on another platform of an adjacent link. A flexible intermediate member is provided between the platforms. The intermediate region is angled relative to the platforms so that the engagement opening is offset relative to the engagement projection.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1987Date of Patent: September 13, 1988Assignee: Hattori Seiko Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Junichi Yamaura

Patent number: 4672805Abstract: A guide chain for guiding energy lines, with the guide chain being disposed between a fixed connection and a movable consuming device. The guide chain includes a plurality of interconnected chain link members, each of which is a one-piece, inherently stable, U-shaped receiving member having two legs that are connected by a crosspiece and that form the links of the chain link member. Each of the chain link members is provided with a stop to limit the two-way pivot angle of adjacent interconnected ones of the chain link members. Each link of a given chain link member has a first end connected to the crosspiece, and a second end. A respective holding element is disposed on each second end of each link of a given chain link member. Each holding element projects inwardly toward the other link of that chain link member. A flexible cover strip is retained between the holding elements in a self-supporting manner for spanning the open portion of each chain link member.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1986Date of Patent: June 16, 1987Assignee: Kabelschlepp Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventor: Werner Moritz

Patent number: 4617001Abstract: Detachable links are formed by a first link having a part-spherical end joined to a cylindrical first intermediate portion and a second link having a receiving end with spaced, generally U-shaped arms defining a slot. The arms resiliently spread apart to receive and then snap back to capture the part-spherical portion, leaving the cylindrical portion in the slot. The joined links may be freely relatively pivoted through substantially 180 degrees and may be freely relatively rotated through a full 360 degrees about the axis of the cylindrical portion. The part-spherical portion may have one upstanding cylindrical stub or a diametrically opposed pair which are positionable either between the legs of the arms or in the slot between arms. These stubs limit the free rotation between links by resisting same except as permitted by forcible rotation in 90 degree steps due to spreading apart and snapping back of the arms.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 1983Date of Patent: October 14, 1986Inventor: Eric W. Patent number: 4570437Abstract: An energy conductor chain for guiding energy conduits (6), particularly cables or hoses, from a fixed attachment point to a movable consuming load, comprises a plurality of chain links (A to E) formed by two outer plates (2, 3) which are connected with each other by a divisible bar, the mutual angle of swing of the adjacent chain links being limited by stops (9). In order to create an energy conductor chain of plastic which consists of only a few individual parts and which can be opened and closed without special tools, each chain link (A to E) is formed of a U-shaped receiving part (1) which is as a single piece of stable form and whose legs form the two outer plates (2, 3), and a closure yoke (5) which can be connected to the free edges of the outer plates (2, 3). The yoke is pivoted to the outer plate (3) by a joint and can be locked by an elastic hook (12) to the other outer plate (2).Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1984Date of Patent: February 18, 1986Assignee: Kahelschlepp Gesellschaft mit beschrankter HaftungInventor: Werner Moritz
