Abstract: A device for feeding energy to a cylinder rotationally mounted on a stationary machine part includes a hydraulic pump disposed in the cylinder, and a transmission device located between the stationary machine part and the hydraulic pump, the transmission device being engageable with the hydraulic pump at a drive side thereof for driving the pump.
Abstract: A compact electric adjusting drive for locking systems, fan flaps or the like in motor vehicles includes a fluidic force transmission system between the electric motor and the adjusting element movable to and fro between two end positions.
Abstract: A pulse-actuated hydraulic pump includes a hydraulic chamber with a bellows having a volume increased or decreased by the selective application a force in an axial direction thereof by a piezoelectric actuator. Control means control electrically-driven valves to selective discharge fluid from the bellows in precisely controllable volumes through a first pumping port or a second pumping port.
Abstract: The hydraulic actuator (35) utilizes the centrifugal head developed in its pressure chambers (52,54) when the housing (44) rotates as a source of pressure. As actuator (35) rotates fluid exits outlet port (56) and passs through a servovalve (64) into chamber (54) to move vane (49) relative to the actuator (35). To move vane (49) in the other direction, fluid exits outlet port (58) and passes through the valve into chamber (52). This self-powered actuator has utility in systems requiring relative angular positioning between a pair of rotating elements such as a pair of voltage regulator rotors in a dual permanent magnet generator.
Abstract: (a) Hydraulic servo motor comprising a jack (1, 14) intended to be connected by its rod (3.sub.1, 3.sub.2, 15.sub.1) to a moving member to be displaced and accurately positioned, said jack being completely filled with liquid;(b) Servo motor characterized in that the displacement of the piston (2) is implemented by direct liquid transfer from one chamber to the other chamber of the jack by at least one electric vibrator pump (6) supplied by an alternating current power source and in that a so-called electro valve (7), normally open when not in operation, is connected in order to make the two jack chambers communicate;(c) The invention relates to hydraulic servo motors.
Abstract: A retractable anchoring device for a sonde to be lowered into a well for logging purpose, is adapted to rigidly position the sonde at a preselected depth. The device comprises pivotable anchoring arms adapted to apply against the wall of the well a substantially constant force produced by associated jacks actuated by driving means so as to apply to the respective arms forces which are limited by specific valves therefor in the hydraulic circuit feeding of the jacks.
Abstract: A power steering system, particularly advantageous for use on electric powered vehicles, in which the hydraulic pump operates only when steering commands are given. Torque applied to the steering shaft by rotation of the steering wheel is translated to axial stress on a thin walled tube, the direction and intensity of which depend on the direction and amount of steer angle change commanded. The axial stresses are detected by strain gages, and the motor which powers the hydraulic pump is activated only when stress is detected. Manual steering inputs enter the pump on one side, and the powered servo motor inputs enter on the opposite side, thus permitting the vehicle to be steered by manual input alone if the powered input fails. The components of the system are arranged in coaxial alignment, providing a compact system with improved heat dissipation qualities.

Abstract: The engine comprises an elongated, vertical casing within which a buoyancy piston is vertically reciprocal between upper and lower positions. The buoyancy piston bottomly carries a bottom piston plate which is a sliding seal within the interior of the casing. A flapper check valve is positioned on the piston plate to alternately open or close the valve opening to thereby allow the liquid to pass through the plate to impinge buoyancy forces upon the underside of the piston. A circulating pump draws its suction below the piston plate and discharges to the top of the casing at a height elevated above the piston plate. Cyclical opening and closing of the flapper check valve causes corresponding reciprocal movement of the power piston within the casing to power an output shaft for reciprocal motion.
Abstract: A stop mechanism for a bending press, plate shear or the like machine, provided with a work-table and with a work-piece stop which is horizontally adjustable along the work table thereby defining the position of the work-piece relative to the machinery, the work-piece stop being coupled with a position control-unit which is provided with an indicator of the momentary position of the work-piece stop and can be programmed with the desired position, the stop being displaceable by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit and a pump drive means controlled by the position control-unit.
Abstract: The invention relates to improved jack-pump devices comprising a pump with a sliding piston forming first and second pump chambers, one on each side, a jack with a sliding piston forming first and second jack-chambers, one on each side, a first valve between the pump chambers, acting unidirectionally from the second to the first pump chambers, a second valve between the first chambers of the pump and the jack, and a communication device between the second chambers of the pump and the jack, the pump and jack pistons being slidably mounted and axially aligned in the same body filled with fluid, a fixed transverse partition disposed in the cylinder body between the two pistons, and a plunger for compensating variations of volume, slidably mounted in one of the two second chambers, close to the corresponding extremity of the body. The main application is as a lifting device for regulating the height of members or parts of moving machines, of seats for chairs, vehicles, building stays, etc.
