Abstract: A massage device has a massage head distance adjustment mechanism. In one embodiment, the massage head distance adjustment mechanism includes a first motor, a first worm coaxially connected to the first motor, a first worm wheel meshing with the first worm, a first gear meshing with the first worm wheel, and a pair of second gears having one second gear meshed with the first gear. The pair of second gears meshes with each other. In operation, the first motor drives, in sequence, the first worm, the first worm wheel, the first gear, and the pair of second gears, thereby causing the pair of massage heads to move along a corresponding pair of arc-shaped slots. Accordingly, the distance between the two massage heads is adjusted.

Abstract: To provide a belt for KAATSU muscle training of the type activated by using air pressure in which an inflatable pneumatic bag will expand only in an inward direction during use. A belt 100B has a first band-shaped member 110 that is partially hollow in structure. The first band-shaped member 110 has a thick fabric 111 and a thin fabric 112 both of which are stretchable and are formed as a band shape, and contains an inflatable pneumatic bag 114 within the hollow portion. Small pieces 115, which are made of an unstretchable material and are fixed to strips of tape 116 of a predetermined width, are aligned along the radially outward extremity of the inflatable pneumatic bag 114. The strips of tape 116 are stitched to the thick fabric 111 and the thin fabric 112 at the ends thereof with the ends being sandwiched between the edges of the thick fabric 111 and the thin fabric 112.

Abstract: A body massager is provided with a housing. A carriage translates in an upper torso region of the housing. A first massager on the carriage extends in a forward direction from the housing. A second motor-driven massager is mounted to the housing at a lower torso region and extends in the forward direction from the housing further than the first motor-driven massager. Another body massager provides a guide with a longitudinal region and a transverse region. Another body massager provides a suspension on the carriage. Another body massager provides a plate on the carriage for supporting a massage member. An actuator is mounted to the carriage for adjusting the plate. Another body massager provides a contoured guide with an actuator for adjusting the guide. Another body massager provides a transversely contoured guide. Another body massager provides a contoured guide that extends forward in upper and lower torso regions.

Abstract: A perfusion, regulation device (10) for regulating tissue perfusion at a target site (2) on a human or animal body. The perfusion regulation device (10) comprises a pressure regulator (4) for determining and regulating pressure exerted by the perfusion regulation device (10) on the target site (2) and a perfusion monitor (5) for measuring tissue perfusion at the target site (2). The perfusion regulation device (10) furthermore comprises a control system (6) for driving the pressure regulator (4) so as to regulate pressure exerted by the perfusion regulation device (10) to the target site (2) thereby using feedback from the perfusion monitor (5). There is also a method for making such a perfusion regulation device (10) and a method for regulating tissue perfusion at a target site (2) on a human or animal body using such a perfusion regulation device (10).

Abstract: The proposed device includes two segments adapted to enclose a body part in a form-fitting manner. Each segment contains an electroactive-material-based actuator, which is adapted to receive an electrical control signal and in response thereto adjust the actuator's morphology, so as to cause the segment to apply a basic pressure profile to the body part. A pressure transition is adapted to redistribute the basic pressure profiles between the first and second segments. A control signal in respect of the first segment causes the pressure transition system to apply a first adjusted pressure profile to at least part of the second portion of the body part, and vice versa, a control signal in respect of the second segment causes the pressure transition system to apply a second adjusted pressure profile to at least a part of the first portion of the body part.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention relates to a massage device having a massage head distance adjustment mechanism. In one embodiment, the massage head distance adjustment mechanism comprises a first motor, a first worm coaxially connected to the first motor, a first worm wheel meshing with the first worm, a first gear meshing with the first worm wheel, and a pair of second gears having one second gear meshed with the first gear.

Abstract: Disclosed is a massaging and reflexology system for an article of footwear comprising a core body generally configured in the shape of a shoe insole, a plurality of cups disposed on a top surface of the shoe insole, and a respective bump or pressure nub disposed within each of the cups. The cups may be disposed on a bottom surface of the core body. The shoe insole may define toe, intermediate, heel and arch portions, or any combination thereof. Each cup may define a substantially concave surface projecting outwardly from the top surface with the cup perimeters being generally circular. The pressure nubs may be centrally disposed on the concave surface of each one of the cups on the top surface. The core body, the cups, the cup spacers and the pressure nubs may be formed as a unitary structure of resilient, elastomeric material such as silicone gel.

Abstract: A kneading massage device includes an attachable device body. A drive member and symmetrically arranged rollers are set inside the device body. The drive member is allowed to rotate in a given direction. The rollers are coupled to tracks that are formed in the drive member in a shuttle configuration. The rollers are rotatably and respectively mounted to bands and the bands have ends to which guide pegs are mounted for being movably received in the tracks of the dive member. The device body is selectively attached to a portion of a user's body and the drive member is rotated to have the guide pegs of the bands slide back and forth along the tracks for making the rollers rolling back and forth to effect kneading massaging on the user's body and thus achieve body fitness and losing weight of the user.
