  • Patent number: 6695798
Abstract: An air cushion bed. The air cushion bed includes a massaging device. The massaging device includes an air cushion, vibrating motor, motor casing, massaging plate and adhesive strip. The air cushion includes air bladders that are linked together, and the vibrating motor is installed in the motor casing, whereon the massaging plate is installed. An adhesive strip is installed on the outer surface of the motor casing so that the motor casing can be fixed on the air bladders of the air cushion, allowing the air cushion bed to be a detachable device. The air cushion bed utilizes a microcomputer to activate the vibrating motor, which causes the motor casing to vibrate, which causes the massaging plate to vibrate, so that a patient resting on the massaging device can be massaged on the back portion through the vibration of the massaging plate, and the patient's blood circulation can be improved to minimize any bedsores for the patient.

Abstract: This invention provides a chair type of physiotherapy and health instrument that may be used for the physiotherapy against diseases or health improvement. The instrument has a chair body 10, 100 having a through hole 21, 121 formed at a seat area 20, 120 thereof, an impacting member 30 and a driving unit 40 for driving this member 30, wherein the impacting member 30 pivotally swung can periodically apply an impact on a region to be treated by a user via the through hole 21. Alternatively, the instrument uses, instead of the impacting member, a rotating frictional member 130 resiliently installed to protrude above the through hole 121 and a driving unit 140 for driving this member 130, wherein the member 130 being resiliently contacted with the user's body rotate, thereby being able to apply the frictional stimulus to a user. Therefore, easy access to a user's body is possible even when a user seats on the chair according to the present invention, further providing the physiotherapy or health improvement.

  • Patent number: 5857986
Abstract: An interactive vibrator system provides stimulus to a computer user in response to interaction between computer and user. A signal pick-off device (16) gathers signals present at the computer input/output port (11) and delivers such signals to signal processing device (14) which in turn drives vibrator (21) to provide soothing vibration to the user's body. An interactive vibrator in conjunction with a multimedia computer detects pulses or the like from joystick or other input devices. Corresponding driving of one or more vibrators in response to the detected input device X, Y, Z movement commands or in response to detected audio output from the computer produces tactile feedback to a user of a multimedia game or the like. The vibrations can thereby simulate "G" forces or the like. The joystick, steering wheel or other such input devices are also suitably provided with vibrators therein to generate tactile feedback in response to operation thereof or in response to the audio signals.
