Additionally, a method and system for performing abrasion on a surface, such as on the skin 74 of a patient, is disclosed. The dermabrasion apparatus includes means for delivering and retrieving material to and from a selected site to be abraded, a delivery and retrieval hand piece, an abrasive handling device, and a waste retrieval holding device. Hand piece (118) is coupled to the abrasive handling device as well as the waste retrieval holding device, which is further coupled to the delivery and retrieval means.

Abstract: An Improved Facial Rejuvenation Device and Method is disclosed. The device is small and portable. The device further has an ergonomic nozzle shape defined by a housing having a suction bore defined by a throttle positioned within it. The throttle may perform its throttling action by adjusting the diameter of the suction bore formed within the housing. The method employs the unique device to create a localized suction force to the skin in the vicinity of a previously-applied medicinal formulation. The device further may have a housing defined by a conical outer shape terminating in a sealing ring at its tip.

Abstract: An massage device includes, within a suction enclosure, a first reversible motor having a power shaft output which provides input to a gear assembly for mechanically converting reciprocating rotational motion of a power shaft to reciprocating linear motion. This reciprocating linear motion is communicated to respective opposing massage applicator rollers to facilitate compressive and de-compressive action suitable for application to human tissue in the treatment of cellulite and related conditions. Disposed within the same housing as the first motor is a second reversible motor which, thru a belt system, selectably and synchronously rotates and counter-rotates both rollers independently of their compressive and de-compressive action. The suction function is actuated upon any operation of the second motor.

The electro-acoustic transducer is arranged in the housing which includes a shell. The coupling element has a coupling surface flush with edges of the shell. Another coupling surface of the coupling element is on the sound irradiation surface of the transducer and sound waves from the sound irradiation surface are directly coupled into the coupling element. An elastic coupling cushion is connected to a surface of the coupling element. One coupling surface of the coupling element and an exterior coupling surface of the coupling cushion define a sound advance path the length of which may, along with a penetration depth of the sound waves, be varied.

An attachment is mounted to the nozzle for applying the suction force to a facial skin for removal of sebum, dirt or the like debris from the facial skin. The apparatus is capable of regulating the suction force being applied to the skin, and particularly minimizing the suction force immediately in response to the user's action of ceasing the treatment, thereby making it easy to remove the attachment from the facial skin and therefore reducing a risk of causing a pain and leaving the purpuric mark as well. A regulator is incorporated to regulate the suction force being applied to the facial skin for easy and safe removal of the suction force.

Abstract: Therapeutic devices and methods according to embodiments of the invention encourage or cause clitoral engorgement to assist in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction. A vacuum is created over the clitoris, or suction is applied to the clitoris, to create a negative pressure in the clitoris that is lower than the systolic blood pressure. This tends to promote engorgement of the clitoris with blood.
