Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable absorbent article, e.g. a diaper, having a backsheet, an absorbent core and a topsheet, said absorbent article having a length L, said topsheet having an opening and primary elasticated areas and secondary elasticated areas, the latter being curved or angled, having an overall curvature with a radius of from 0.3 L to 3.2L, wherein the average transverse distance between a primary elasticated area and a secondary elasticated area of a crotch side portion is preferably at least 15 mm.

Abstract: A less invasive disposable urinary collection device for receiving a penis of a male patient comprises a freestanding bulb-shaped sack formed from a single sheet of laminate material. The sheet includes a first absorbent inner layer disposed between a moisture impervious outer layer and a second absorbent layer. The sack has a top hand insertion opening with elastic and an elastic passageway disposed orthogonal to the hand opening for securing the sack to the penis.

Abstract: An easy-to-manufacture, easy-to-use disposable pet diaper having a lightweight upper portion and an absorbent bottom portion, comprising elongated strips from the upper portion and corresponding slits in the lower portion whereby the diaper may be tied across the back of the pet when used. The diaper is of layered construction, having a superabsorbent portion. The layered construction allows the pet diaper to be constructed in one piece. The diaper also has intersecting slits for holding a pet's tail in place.

Abstract: The post circumcision diaper has an integrated protective cup situated between the outer fluid-impervious and inner absorbent layers of the diaper's front portion. The protective cup is constructed of plastic and forms an area of the diaper that is convex outward and concave inward to protect the penis of a recently circumcised baby boy from both direct and incidental pressure. In an alternative embodiment, the post circumcision diaper is formed from a protective cup that is configured for aftermarket attachment to the inside of a commercially available disposable or cloth diaper. In this embodiment, the protective cup has adhesive on its outer surface and a layer of absorbent material on its inner surface.

Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a main diaper body with a flexible plastic housing. The diaper housing has a front wall and a parallel back wall sealably joined to the front wall. The front and back walls cooperate to define a housing chamber therebetween. The back wall has an aperture formed therein. The main diaper body also includes at least one layer of absorbent material disposed within the housing chamber. The diaper also includes a flexible sleeve for surrounding a user's phallus. The flexible sleeve attached to the back wall of the housing around the aperture, and is in fluid communication with the housing chamber via the aperture. The diaper may have an adhesive material attached to a lower portion of the front wall, to allow it to be removably fastened to an undergarment.

Abstract: The present invention 10 discloses an incontinence device having a disposable urinary bag 18 having a plurality of attachment means 22 located on its outside surface for securement of the disposable urinary bag 18 to the adjustable attachment belt 14. Housed within the disposable urinary bag 18 is an absorbent material 34 for urine absorption. The disposable urinary bag 18 also has in its upper central region an elastic ring or seal 24 that provides a barrier against urine when a penis 36 is inserted into it. On the top portion of the elastic ring 24, a slit 28 is provided in conjunction with a sealing tab 26 with adhesive 32 to enlarge or constrict the size of the elastic ring 24.

Abstract: A brief assembly with a full front panel opening and an inner elasticized support panel includes two half width segments superposed in overlapping relationship, with a portion of the overlapped central area between rear portions of the segments bonded to form a unitary rear panel. The other half of the overlap is left unbonded to provide the full opening in the front panel. The outer margin of the opening can be reinforced by enclosure within a V-folded strip. Portions of outer side margins on each segment are removed to form an hourglass-shape. Overlapped segments are held together by a releasable fastener means that joins the two front panel half width segments. Tensioned elastic strands are attached to a support panel at spaced intervals. The support panel is secured to the inner surface of the overlapped segments. Tapes or other fasteners protrude from the side margins and are used to complete the waist and leg apertures after the front half is folded upward around a user's body.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed that allows a caregiver to attach and then, when necessary, dispose of a bag that collects a patient's urine. The bag has an orifice surrounded by an elasticized portion that allows the penis to be inserted and then maintained in position. In the first embodiment of the invention, the bag is held by an adhesive or other type of attachment means to the outside of a diaper-like garment that includes an absorbent inner liner. In the second embodiment, the bag is kept and held inside a standard-type male undergarment (boxers or briefs). In the third embodiment, the bag is held in position outside the typical undergarment.

The extended sump is configured to remain remote from the buttocks of the wearer and thereby provides a container for the collection of human waste.

Abstract: A disposable male personal hygiene product for preventing the soiling of outer clothing and undergarments and skin irritation due to urinary flow irregularities. The product consists of a urine bib having an absorbent outer layer and a moisture resistant inner layer. The urine bib is attached to the male penis during urination by placing the male penis through an opening in the bib such that an absorbent size faces outward and a moisture resistant inner layer is closely coupled to the clothing. The urine bib can be sized as a function of the height and girth of the user. The urine bib may also be treated with a medication to prevent the spread of infectious disease after use and disposal.

The brief comprises a front panel having first and second side edges and a rear panel having first and second side edges. Abstract: A male undergarment for incontinence, including undergarment shorts having front and back panels with a waistband at the top of the garment and thigh encircling leg portions at the bottom of the shorts with a crotch portion between the leg portions. A pocket protection cage of resilient plastic material is provided with an opening at the top and is secured to the inside of the front panel of the shorts and is positioned for natural protrusion of the male penis of the wearer into this opening. This pocket protection cage has portions which are positioned at an angle whereby the device protrudes downwardly into one leg portion of the undergarment to the side of the crotch. A disposable, flexible and water tight pocket is removably retained in the cage and is also provided with a top opening that is secured for conforming to the top opening of the cage for protrusion of the penis into this top opening of the pocket.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable garment shield device for men for use with an undergarment for the purpose of protecting the undergarment from staining and soiling due to secretions from the crotch region and genitalia of the user. The shield is constructed of a plurality of layered fabrics or materials designed to wick moisture and excretions away from the skin of the user and retain them in an absorbent layer of the shield. In addition to the soft, flexible and ergonomic nature of the device, a slit or cut is provided through a portion of the device to facilitate the extraction of the male genitalia for urination purposes in an ordinary manner in conjunction with a fly opening of a traditional male undergarment.
