Once soiled with exudates, the pouch is inverted over the absorbent article to conceal and contain the article. The pouch and waist band include integral handles for transporting the exudate soiled article for disposal. The absorbent article may be part of a disposable absorbent article assembly including an individually packaged disposable absorbent article and packaging system, wherein prior to use the absorbent article is sealed within the packaging. The packaging seal is broken to remove the absorbent article and the packaging may be stored for later use or discarded.

Abstract: A wrappable protective sleeve for providing protection to at least one elongate member contained therein and methods of construction and use thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a flexible textile wall having opposite inner and outer faces bounded by opposite edges and opposite ends. The opposite edges extend generally parallel to one another between the opposite ends. A pair of adhesive layers is bonded to the inner face, with each of the adhesive layers being spaced from one another. The adhesive layers extend between the opposite ends adjacent the opposite edges. Further, a release paper is releasably adhered to the pair of adhesive layers for subsequent removal and use of the sleeve.

The body facing material defines a male urine handling feature with a plurality of projections adapted to handle urine released by the male wearer. A second absorbent article for a female wearer is sized within the first size range. The base may include a cavity to receive the disposal bag so as to reduce the overall height of the disposal aid. The disposal aid may alternatively be configured to include a disposal bag encased in a casing and a cleaning wipe, both of which are placed on the base of the disposal aid and covered by a single removable cover.

The enclosure comprises a cover and backing joined together to form a pocket with an object disposed therein. Abstract: A disposal-bag system attached to or formed at least partially by a disposable object (e.g., a diaper) includes a container that houses a disposal bag folded into a compact arrangement. The container is generally thin and flat and sized for storing the bag, and the bag is sized for holding the disposable object that the system is used with. And the bag is at least partially removable from the container so that the disposable object can be placed into it for disposal. In use, the container is opened, the bag is extended from the container and opened, the disposable object is grasped by reaching through the bag, the bag is inverted to now hold the disposable object, and the bag is closed and disposed of. In this way, the disposal-bag system provides a convenient, sanitary, and self-contained method of disposing of soiled diapers or other disposable objects.

The stiffening element is fastened to the lower side of the absorption member and the stiffening element includes a piece of material formed into a layered structure that significantly contributes to the stiffness of the stiffening element. The layered structure can be extended to a non-layered structure. The piece of material is provided with a first attachment for locking a rolled up or folded used article.

Abstract: An ostomy closure is disclosed for sealing an ostomy pouch after use and removal from an ostomy mounting plate. The ostomy mounting plate is secured to an individual. The ostomy closure comprises a cap body defining an interior surface and an exterior surface extending to a peripheral edge. A cap flange is coupled to the peripheral edge of the cap body and extends from the interior surface of the cap body. A cap locking member is integral to the cap flange. A cap lip defining an interior surface and an exterior surface extends from the cap flange for manipulating the cap body and the cap flange. The cap flange couples with a pouch flange of the ostomy pouch for defining a sealing closure for maintaining the stool and the stool odor within the ostomy chamber and a locking closure for preventing inadvertent removal of the cap flange from the pouch flange.

In areas defining the non-bonded regions, body waste retaining space(s) are formed between the elastic waist panel and the crotch member.

A printed tag is arranged on the inner wearer facing side of the chassis in at least one of the front portion, back portion, and the waistband. The tag has at least one first area which is fixedly attached to the chassis and at least one second area which is unattached. The first fixedly attached area covers an area of at least 5% of the total area of the tag and the second unattached area has a length extending along a side edge of the tag of at least 5 mm and a width of at least 1 mm. The tag as described makes it easier to differentiate between the front and back of the article.

The disposable absorbent article has a longitudinal centerline, a lateral centerline, an outer surface and an inner surface. The absorbent article is folded before use along the lateral direction. The disposable absorbent article comprises a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed therebetween, and an elasticized outer leg cuff. The elasticized outer leg cuff is disposed adjacent to a longitudinal side edge of the absorbent article. The elasticized outer leg cuff has a base and a gasket cuff supported by the base at a joint of the base to the gasket cuff. The gasket cuff is provided with elasticity and has a top gasket cuff surface, an inner cuff extending laterally inwardly from the joint and an outer cuff extending laterally outwardly from the joint.

By using this absorbent article, a material used for individual wrapping can be utilized at the time of wearing the absorbent article without disposal of the material, and leakage is less liable to occur.

Abstract: A portable female urine collector for urine collection and stowage, and a method of assembling same is disclosed. In one embodiment, the portable female urine collector includes a fordable absorbent pad for collecting urine, and a receptacle attached to the foldable absorbent pad for stowing the foldable absorbent pad therein after the foldable absorbent pad is used to collect urine. After the foldable absorbent pad is used, the foldable absorbent pad is folded by the user and then sealed within the attached receptacle for later disposal. The portable female urine collector is useful whenever toilet facilities for females are either unavailable or unsuitable.

The creases allow the sleeve-like packaging to move between a folded and unfolded position. A slot disposed is in the second crease allowing access to the inner cavity of the sleeve-like packaging. A pocket is disposed on the bottom surface of the sleeve-like packaging. The pocket has an inner cavity and an open end for accessing the inner cavity.

Abstract: A bag of thin plastic material shaped into a container having a closed end and an open end cut to provide two tying portions, and sides extending between the open and closed ends. The plastic material is of a color and has at least an antimicrobial agent, and has an imprinted design or pattern. The bag is of a size suitable for receiving a single product, such as a used feminine hygiene product, along with any other material in the use or replacement of such product by a user, in which the tying portions are tieable to seal the product within the bag. When a product is sealed in the bag by a user, the antimicrobial agent inhibits the growth of odor causing bacteria, the scent masks any odors, and the color and imprinted design assists to conceal or obfuscate any blood on a used feminine product in the bag.

Abstract: A fecal sample collecting device and method. The device of an embodiment includes a removable first layer, having primary and secondary apertures and a second layer having a releaseable adhesive on an inner surface that secures the first and second layers, a flap aligned with the primary aperture, and an integrally formed removable tab. The device also includes a sheet between the two layers. In a first configuration, the sheet is aligned with the primary aperture such that a sample is deposited thereon when the device is used to wipe one's anus, and the removable tab is aligned with the secondary aperture such that a second sample is deposited thereon. Subsequently, the first layer is discarded, thereby exposing the adhesive on the inner surface of the second layer. The device is placed in a second configuration by folding the inner surface upon itself. Thus, primary and secondary samples are enclosed.

Abstract: A disposable diaper has a front pouch with a wet wipe inside and a rear pouch with a closable open end. When the diaper has been soiled the wet wipe can be removed from the front pouch and used to clean the baby and then the diaper, once removed from the baby, can be inverted into the rear pouch, which inverts inside out with the soiled diaper inside. A closure can be used to close the open end of the now-inverted rear pouch to contain the soiled diaper inside.

The evacuation diaper encourages children and adults who may suffer from trauma, a developmental or neurological disorder, or another mental condition that hinders them from feeling comfortable with using a restroom, to relieve themselves independently and without the assistance of another person.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article adapted to be worn about a lower torso of a human body and having a chassis, a non-removable absorbent core component disposed in a crotch region of the chassis, and a replaceable absorbent core component disposed in capillary liquid communication with the non-removable absorbent core component. The replaceable absorbent core component may be removed and a like component may be substituted in place of the removed component without the removal of the absorbent article from the wearer. The replaceable absorbent core component may be disposed inside an openable chassis pocket, with access for its removal and replacement provided by an aperture in a backsheet, an openable end of an external pocket, or an openable end of an internal pocket formed at an area of a waist end edge where the backsheet and a topsheet may be separated. Additional replaceable absorbent core components may also be incorporated.
