  • Publication number: 20090287177
Abstract: In an absorbent product in which an absorbent sheet member having an opening and a back sheet are overlapped, a rear pocket is formed between a rear absorbent core of the absorbent sheet member and the back sheet, and side pockets are formed on both sides of the opening. By contracting elastic members bonded to a core covering sheet on the both sides of the opening, the core covering sheet of the absorbent sheet member and the back sheet largely stand up in each side pocket, and the rear absorbent core is raised upward. Thus, it is possible to keep the distance large in a thickness direction between the absorbent sheet member and the back sheet in the vicinity of the opening and to fit a portion around the opening of the absorbent sheet member to a wearer.

Upon removal of the cleansing wipe, the string attached to a soiled tampon is insertable through the openings of the housing whereby removal and disposal of the tampon can be achieved in a relatively sanitary and efficient manner.

  • Patent number: 7238175
Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a basic absorbent batt structure and a supplementary absorbent batt structure placed thereon. An elastic member is provided between the two batt structures so as to transversely cross them. Contraction of the elastic member causes opposite side edge regions of the two batt structures to be pulled nearer to a longitudinal center line thereof. This results in a zone of the former batt structure underlying a distal end portion of the latter batt structure to curving downward with respect to a lower surface of the latter batt structure while the distal end portion of the latter batt structure curves upward with respect to a body facing surface of the basic absorbent batt structure. The curving of the batt structures forms a pocket opening from a front waist region toward a crotch region of the disposable diaper.

  • Patent number: 7204830
Abstract: A disposable wearing article includes a liquid-impervious chassis, a pair of liquid-impervious leak-barrier sheets laid along transversely opposite side edges of the chassis, a body fluid absorbent first panel extending over a crotch region and a rear waist region of the chassis and joined to the chassis, and a body fluid absorbent second panel extending over a front waist region and the crotch region. The second panel has a front portion joined to the front waist region, a distal portion and transversely opposite side edges joined to the chassis. The distal portion has side sections extending upward above the chassis and joined to distal sections of the respective leak-barrier sheets, and a transversely middle section which extends between the side sections and is convex upward above the side sections and thereby a pocket opening from the crotch region toward the rear waist region is formed between the chassis and the distal portion.

  • Patent number: 7166095
Abstract: A protective undergarment having an outer layer of fluid-resistant material shaped to conform to the buttock and leg region of a user, and an elongated sling of material connected to the outer layer. Opposite sides of the sling are bowed inward and joined together at a first end of the sling to form a first pocket part for retaining one end of a fluid absorbent pad. A cuff is connected between the first end of the sling and the outer layer. The second end of the sling is connected to the outer layer, and an intermediate portion of the sling between the first and second ends of the sling is folded longitudinally into an S-shape so as to provide three plies of the material establishing a second pocket part for retaining an opposite end of the fluid absorbent pad.

  • Patent number: 7160280
Abstract: A diaper with an integral feces receiver. This receiver is connected to the interior of the diaper by an oval opening. The walls of the receiver are undercut so that the cross-section expands as the fecal matter moves from the opening downward. A thickened supporting section is provided around the receiver so that the user's weight will not force the solid material out of the receiver and back into the interior of the diaper. The fecal matter is thereby contained within the receiver and away from the user. A layered version is shown, in which the diaper's structure is built from a series of stacked cross sections.

  • Patent number: 7090666
Abstract: A moisture management incontinence pad is adapted for placement within an undergarment worn by a user. The fabric composite includes a plurality of overlying absorbent layers having respective first and second opposing end edges and first and second opposing side edges. The adsorbent layers are substantially unattached to one another along at least one of respective first and second side edges and first and second end edges to promote circulation between the layers during laundering. A liquid impermeable jacket resides adjacent an outside major surface of the fabric composite, and covers the opposing end edges and opposing side edges of the absorbent layers. The jacket is adapted for trapping moisture within the composite, and forms a moisture barrier between the composite and the undergarment.
