Abstract: A male undergarment for incontinence, including undergarment shorts having front and back panels with a waistband at the top of the garment and thigh encircling leg portions at the bottom of the shorts with a crotch portion between the leg portions. A pocket protection cage of resilient plastic material is provided with an opening at the top and is secured to the inside of the front panel of the shorts and is positioned for natural protrusion of the male penis of the wearer into this opening. This pocket protection cage has portions which are positioned at an angle whereby the device protrudes downwardly into one leg portion of the undergarment to the side of the crotch. A disposable, flexible and water tight pocket is removably retained in the cage and is also provided with a top opening that is secured for conforming to the top opening of the cage for protrusion of the penis into this top opening of the pocket.

Abstract: Absorbent article such as a diaper and an incontinence guard comprising a liquid permeable topsheet (3), a liquid impermeable backsheet (2) and an absorbent body (4) enclosed therebetween, said article having a front portion (5), a rear portion (6) and a crotch portion (7) therebetween, and further is provided with a pair of belt portions (9) attached to the rear portion (6) alternatively the front portion (5) of the article and which are intended to be fastened together around the waist of the wearer and where said front portion (5) alternatively the rear portion (6) is provided with fastening means (8) of the hook-and-loop type, intended to be attached to the belt portions (9), in such a way that the article will assume a pantlike shape, where the belt portions (9) form a part of the waist portions of the pant.

Abstract: Absorbent article such as a diaper or an incontinence guard comprising a pair of belt portions (9, 10) attached to the rear portion (6) alternatively the front portion (5) of the article and which are intended to be fastened together around the waist of the wearer, wherein one belt portion (9) at its end carries fastening means (11) intended to be attached against the opposite belt portion (10) and where said front portion (5) alternatively the rear portion (6) is provided with fastening means (8), intended to be attached to the belt portions (9, 10), in such a way that the article will assume a pantlike shape, where the belt portions (9, 10) form a part of the waist portions of the pant. The belt portions (9, 10) are provided with at least one means for identification and distinction of the different ends of the belt portions (9a, 10a) from each other.

Abstract: In this invention, there is woven into or laminated to the fabric, (all types of fabrics or nonwoven material) a laminate or substance which is leak proof, and breathable. This invention is designed with feminine care in mind, especially during the female menstrual cycle. It can also be used at any time by a person female or male who feel the need to wear a protective leak proof, breathable garment. All females have various menstrual cycles and flow at various rates and during the heavier flowing days, it is very stressful worrying if you are going to leak through the feminine menstrual product to your outer clothing. Females have to dress accordingly, i.e., wearing dark clothing, long shirts, or long sweaters, etc., in the event of seepage through to their outer garments, to help minimize the embarrassing situation. During sleeping it is almost impossible to prevent leakage onto garments and bedding.

Abstract: Trunks-type disposable pants that include a pair of inner sheets and a pair of outer sheets. The inner sheets have cutouts depressed from the upper ends toward the lower ends and liquid-absorbent panels attached to opposed surfaces of the inner sheets in the vicinity of the respective cutouts. The opposed surfaces of the inner sheets may be bonded together by means of bond lines extending in parallel to the cutouts and partially extending below the liquid-absorbent panels. Opposed surfaces of the inner sheets and the outer sheets are bonded together along the front and rear side portions of these sheets.

Abstract: A disposable pull-on undergarment including a front waist region and a rear waist region which define together a waist-opening at an upper end of the undergarment and having first fastening zones formed on the inner surface of the front waist region and extending from the vicinity of a lower end toward an upper end of the front waist region, a second fastening zone formed on the inner surface of the rear waist region in the vicinity of its lower end and a third fastening zone formed on the outer surface of the rear waist region and spaced apart from the second fastening zone toward the upper end so that the second and third fastening zones are releasably engaged with the first fastening zones to form the undergarment with a pair of leg-openings.

Abstract: This invention relates to a diaper device wherein a layer (1) engaging the user is provided with an opening (15) and the layer (1) is arranged an outer layer enclosing at least one absorption body (5) wherein a layer (22) covering the absorption body has at least one opening (25) facing the user. The at least one absorption body enclosing layer (22) is part of a container (2) which is closed besides this one opening (25) connected to the opening (15) in the layer (1) engaging the user. The container has soft flexible wall portions (21) connecting its at least one absorption body enclosing outer layer with the layer (22) engaging the user and that the wall portions are so adapted that in the used position the volume of the container essentially exceeds the absorption body volume meaning that the at least one absorption body is situated at a distance from the opening or openings.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sanitary panty including a back-part (2), a front-part (1), an intermediate crotch-part (3) and elastic devices (11-14) which extend between the front-part and the back-part of the panty and function to press an absorbent body (8) permanently mounted or removably attached to the panty into abutment with the wearer's body. Two elastic devices (11, 12) extend from a region (V) in the crotch-part of the panty to the front-edge of the front-part (1) while diverging relative to one another and extending generally symmetrically in relation to a central line (A--A) which extends through the back-part (2), the crotch-part (3) and the front-part (1) of the panty.

Abstract: An incontinence diaper having a front section, a back section and a crotch section joining the front and back panels. Fasteners are provided on the upper corners of the front and rear sections for use in joining them together to don the diaper. An absorbent pad is detachably mounted on the inner surface of the front section in the male genital covering area to absorb involuntary urinary discharge. An opening is provided in the front section of the diaper in the male genital covering area. The opening is normally covered by the pad. Moving the pad to uncover the opening allows the diaper wearer to normally urinate through the opening. The opening is preferably shaped to allow a portion of the absorbent pad to be pulled out through the opening to be out of the way during urination.

Abstract: The relatively loose fiting external portion of the garment has a waistband. An internal shell is adapted to extend between the legs of the wearer from the front portion of the waistband to the rear portion of the waistband. The shell forms a snug fitting support for an absorbent pad which retains the pad in a position closely adjacent the body. The shell is preferably made of mesh-like elastic material. A liquid impermeable pouch may be attached to the shell to receive the pad in a removeable fashion.

Abstract: An improved panty liner and crotch construction for panties or the like featuring, in the first embodiment, a moisture absorbent layer secured to a moisture impermeable layer to form a pad-like structure which is sandwiched between an external layer and internal moisture permeable layer of the crotch section of the panty. The moisture absorbent layer and moisture impermeable layer can be stitched along their respective edges, and any seam holes created in the moisture impermeable layer by such stitching is sealed using a seam sealer. In the second embodiment of the invention the moisture impermeable layer is releasably secured to both the moisture absorbent layer and the external layer of the panty so that the moisture absorbent layer can be disposed of once soiled, and the moisture impermeable layer can be re-used once the normal lifetime expectancy of the panty has been reached.

Abstract: A penetration resistant undergarment in the form of pants for preventing sexual assault upon a wearer. The pants have a front portion and a back portion secured together so as to define a narrowed waist and a pair of laterally-spaced legs remote therefrom. An elongated opening extending between the laterally-spaced legs to a point in the front portion proximate the narrowed waist is selectively closed by a protective flap secured to the back portion of the pants. The protective flap has a tubular sleeve at is free end through which a waist belt may be drawn. A locking mechanism secured to the pants locks the waist belt snugly against the narrowed waist.

Abstract: Protective underwear made of air-tight polyurethane-coated nylon (10) with elastic sewn around the waist (12) and around the bifurcated legs (14a, 14b). An exit hole (24) for the flatus is cut from the back, near the bottom, of the underwear. The exit hole is covered with a pocket (16a, 16b) made of porous fabric, and designed in the same shape as the exit hole (24), only larger. The bottom layer of the pocket (16b) is sewn (22) around the edge of the exit hole (24) connecting it to the underwear. The top layer (16a) is sewn (20) around the edge of the bottom layer (16b) and onto the underwear, except at the top, leaving the pocket opening. The pocket opening is kept closed by a fastener. The replaceable filter is large all around than the exit hole (24), but smaller all around than the pocket (16). The top and bottom layers are of wool felt (26a, 26b); and both layers are cut larger than all other layers to facilitate sewing (28).

Abstract: A disposable diaper includes a refresh assembly configured to be activated while the diaper is worn, so as to provide an additional period of comfort until the diaper can be changed. The refresh assembly comprises an extendible panel having a length stored in a non-extended condition interior to a first diaper section. A pull line with line guide arrangement can be activated to extend the extendible panel between the interior of the diaper and the wearer. The extendible panel may include both a liquid impervious barrier, to isolate a wearer from a soiled portion of the diaper, and an absorbent layer to absorb moisture, thereby providing additional comfort to the wearer until the diaper can be changed.

Abstract: A diaper equipped with a view flap that allows a guardian to determine whether or not the diaper needs changing with a minimum of intrusion and bother, in that partial disrobing of the diaper is obviated. The view flap diaper according to the present invention is composed of a diaper member having an aperture and a view flap member wherein the view flap member is selectively openable and closable with respect to the aperture of the diaper member. A liquid absorbent inner layer bonded with a liquid impermeable outer layer is the preferred diaper structure. The inner layer may include a liquid permeable liner, and may not have areas of differing absorbency.

Abstract: An undergarment including an outer layer and a coextensive inner lining. The undergarment is substantially rectangular and it also includes fastening elements adjacent the sides for securing the undergarment to the wearer. Elastic ruffles extend along each side of the undergarment from adjacent the middle of the garment to adjacent the fastening elements. When the garment is worn the elastic ruffles are present on each side of the front portion of the undergarment to cause the garment to conform to the curves of the wearer. The ruffles terminate at the crotch of the wearer. The undergarment is of such a width that the back portion will cup in, where it meets the ruffles, at the back of the inside of the legs.

Abstract: A disposable diaper so improved that an uppermost sheet 14 is formed at its central zone with an opening 16, first and second elastic members 17, 18 are attached to the sheet 14 along halves of the opening's periphery, respectively, with the longitudinally opposite ends of these elastic members intersecting each other at the longitudinally opposite ends of the opening 16, respectively, and the uppermost sheet 14 is torn off from these intersections.

Abstract: A device for use by a person wearing a colostomy, ileostomy or ureterostomy bag which protects the bag from binding by clothes and being noticed as readily by others. The device is a semirigid guard worn by the person below the stoma at the level of his or her waistband or belt line. The inner portion of the guard conforms to fit snugly and comfortably against the person's body. The outer portion of the guard is semirigid and curved to permit the waistband of the person's clothing to fit smoothly around the guard. The inner and outer portions may be separate pieces, removably attached to one another, as with hook and loop fasteners. Between the inner and outer portions of the guard is an opening through which the bag hangs freely. The outer portion may extend up to a level so that it covers and protects the stoma.

Abstract: A two piece panty with one of the pieces being a removable lower or crotch portion. This portion has an inner section designed for the absorption of menses, and an outer moisture resistant backing that includes both a front and rear engaging means and a pocket adapted to hold a pre-wrapped moistened towelette. Thus, when the inner section becomes soiled, it is easily replaceable by disengaging the crotch portion and replacing it with a new one.

Abstract: The present invention is for an undergarment which can be used separately or in combination with a bifurcated overgarment. Both the undergarment and the bifurcated overgarment are designed with crotch elements which can be easily opened and closed, allowing body waste elimination without requiring partial disrobing. The undergarment has a slidable crotch panel which moves between a closed position and an open position. The overgarment has a closeable crotch opening which, when worn with the undergarment of the present invention, is aligned with the slidable crotch panel of the undergarment. The overgarment preferably has side openings which allow access to the undergarment so that the undergarment can be adjusted.

Abstract: This invention relates to a protective undergarment for an individual who is bowel incontinent. The undergarment provides an elasticized, double panel pouch that is suspended from a waistband whereby the inner panel of the pouch is drawn between the buttocks of the individual. An elasticized slit opening on the inner panel of this pouch is thereby positioned adjacent to the individual's anus and permits the admission of fecal material directly into the pouch.

Abstract: A cold therapy panty is provided which includes a front portion and a back portion with a crotch area formed therebetween. A receptacle is located adjacent the crotch area of the panty and extends along the crotch area. An absorbent pad for absorbing bodily fluids and a cold pack for applying cold therapy to the crotch of the wearer are inserted into the receptacle. Alternatively, the absorbent pad may be attached to the inner side of the panty to avoid soiling the pouch and panty. Mating fasteners on the front and back portions are connected to attach the panty to the wearer.

Abstract: There is provided a new and useful reusable diaper comprising inner and outer substantially rectangular layers of absorbent material, a liquid impervious layer between the inner and outer layers, and first and second pockets on the inner layer, and wherein the open sides of the first and second pockets are oriented toward each other.

Abstract: An improved washable diaper is provided with an absorbent liner that is folded within the diaper during use for improved absorbency and, following use, extends from the diaper for improved efficiency of cleaning and drying. An additional liner may be secured to the liner in cases where extra absorbency is required, such as for overnight use, and removed from the liner for cleaning and drying. The liners provide additonal layers of absorbent cloth while their separation from the diaper body following use avoids the difficulties of cleaning and drying presented by a number of cloth layers permanently secured to one another.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved disposable diaper that is biodegradable, sanitary and environmentally safe. In general, the improved diaper has a removable inner sheet of material disposed of by flushing in a toilet or water closet. The remainder of the diaper is made of a biodegradable material that is disposed of in a conventional landfill.

Abstract: A low cost disposable pair of training pants formed substantially entirely of paper. These pants include an outer paper sheet that defines the waist opening and leg openings, and an inner paper liner secured to inner surfaces of the outer sheet. The liner is selected for its water absorbency characteristics. The outer sheet may be selected primarily for its strength and flexibility.

A wiping and cleansing action is accomplished prior to removal of the soiled diaper by breaking the cover on the hole and grasping the bag, to which a loop (68) is attached and pulling the insert through the passage while simultaneously using the bag as a glove to accomplish the wiping action. The insert is completely contained within the bag and enclosed by a tie (70).
