Patent number: 11346590Abstract: Technologies are described herein for cooling systems. In some aspects, a cooling system is configured to enter into a storage configuration or a wintenzation configuration. In the wintenzation configuration, refrigerant used in the cooling system is stored in an adsorbent in an adsorbent chamber.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2016Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: OxiCool Inc.Inventors: Ravikant T. Barot, Brandon K. Wilcox, David Lee Martin

Patent number: 10907599Abstract: In a high-pressure pump, a relief valve seating surrounds an opening of a relief valve passage of a valve seat main body in a first space, A relief valve member includes a relief valve main body and a relief valve seat portion. The relief valve main body has a rod shape. The relief valve seat portion is integrated with an end of the relief valve main body so as to be capable of contacting the relief valve seat. The relief valve urging member urges the relief valve member toward the relief valve seat. A support portion includes a support main body that slidably supports an outer wall of the relief valve main body so as to guide a reciprocating movement of the relief valve member in the axial direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2019Date of Patent: February 2, 2021Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Tatsuro Koga, Noriya Matsumoto

Patent number: 10876779Abstract: A method of operating a cooling system that has at least one evaporator containing a refrigerant and at least one adsorbent chamber containing adsorbent configured to provide adsorption of vaporized refrigerant from the at least one evaporator in a cooling mode and provide desorption of the refrigerant to the at least one evaporator in a recharging mode, the method including; controlling the adsorption and desorption of the refrigerant of the at least one adsorbent chamber between the cooling modes and recharging modes during a cooling cycle; ceasing desorption of the refrigerant from the at least one adsorbent chamber; allowing adsorption of the vaporized refrigerant from the at least one evaporator; and maintaining the at least one adsorbent chamber in an adsorbed state at the end of the cooling cycle in a storage mode.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2017Date of Patent: December 29, 2020Assignee: OxiCool Inc.Inventors: Ravikant T. Barot, Brandon K. Wilcox

Patent number: 9109709Abstract: A residual pressure valve (10; 10a; 10b) for a flow medium, in particular for air, the flow passage (30) of which is arranged in a valve housing (15) and is designed so as to allow flows to pass in different directions and so as to be interrupted by an at least partially movable sealing element (41; 41a) depending on the pressure of the flow medium, wherein an energy store (45) which is in particular designed as a pressure spring, the sealing element (41; 41a) is seated against a counter element (21; 21a) in a sealing manner when the flow medium drops below a minimum pressure in order to interrupt the flow passage (30), and wherein the flow path (30) has two separate bores (32, 58) which are arranged coaxially in relation to one another and are connected to one another by at least one connecting channel (33).Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2012Date of Patent: August 18, 2015Assignee: Alligator Ventilfabrik GmbHInventor: Renato Palaoro

Patent number: 4938031Abstract: A refrigerant recovery system which includes a compressor having an input coupled through an evaporator and through a solenoid valve to the refrigeration system from which refrigerant is to be withdrawn, and an output coupled through a condenser to a refrigerant storage container. The evaporator and condenser are contained within a closed cylindrical canister for heat exchange and oil separation, the canister having an oil drain valve in the bottom. The refrigerant storage container is carried by a scale having a limit switch coupled to control electronics to prevent or terminate further refrigerant recovery when the container is full. The entire system, including the control electronics, is mounted on a two-wheel hand truck to facilitate transport to a job site such as a building air conditioning or heat pump system.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1989Date of Patent: July 3, 1990Assignee: Kent-Moore CorporationInventors: Kenneth W. Manz, Roger D. Shirley
