Sequence Control Means Responsive To A Sensed Condition Patents (Class 68/12.02)
  • Publication number: 20110041561
Abstract: A washing machine with a single input hose for both hot and cold water. The solenoid-operated water mixing valve assembly has a direct attachment to the hot and cold water supply valves. A flexible hose connects the washing machine to the solenoid-operated water mixing valve assembly. When the washing machine fill cycle begins, the solenoid-operated water mixing valve assembly is turned on and the water is output to the flexible hose. When the washing machine fill cycle ends, the water supply is turned off. The hot and cold water are mixed prior to input to the flexible hose, and as a result, only one flexible hose is required to supply water to the washing machine. The flexible hose is attached to the output of the solenoid-operated water mixing valve assembly and therefore is not under water pressure unless the washing machine is in a fill cycle.

Abstract: A method for determining a target rotational speed below an application rotational speed of a washing drum of a laundry treatment device having a drive and a vibrating system, wherein a dependence of a mechanical effect on items to be washed located in the washing drum on the respective nominal speed of the washing drum is used to ascertain the target rotational speed at which the mechanical effect is at the greatest. The mechanical effect at a respective target rotational speed is ascertained by measuring vibrating system movements of the vibrating system which exhibit greater frequency than the respective target rotational speed. The rotational speed at which the maximum vibrating system movement was measured is selected for carrying out the washing care procedure. The advantage of such a method is that the washing mechanics can be increased, thus improving the cleaning efficiency.

Abstract: A method for controlling a program-controlled water-bearing domestic cleaning appliance, especially a washing machine, which comprises a program control device that controls a water supply and outlet device, a heater and/or a drive device. For the purpose of cleaning, the structural components that come into contact with water during proper operation of the device, the so-called self-cleaning, the program control device controls water supply, discharge, water level, the speed of the driving motor and/or the duration of the drive control within at least one program section and/or the duration of at least one program section in such a manner that all structural components to be cleaned are wetted with water or the cleaning solution. This kind of self-cleaning should especially be carried out when the domestic cleaning appliance is put into operation for the first time. The invention is further characterized in that the program control device automatically recognizes the initial putting into operation.
