  • Publication number: 20140305170
Abstract: A system for monitoring and obtaining spectral data from a supercritical fluid process. The system includes a process vessel containing a supercritical fluid, a light source, and a spectrometer. Sampling light emitted by the light source is transmitted into the internal cavity of the process vessel and reflected back to the spectrometer for processing and analysis. The reflected sampling light includes spectral data about the supercritical fluid, thereby allowing process parameters such as the concentration levels of the fluid in the vessel to be generated and monitored for determining the progress of the reaction. Carbon dioxide may be used as the supercritical fluid. In one embodiment, the system may be used in a supercritical fluid textile dyeing process to monitor the progress of the textile colorization.

  • Publication number: 20120023685
Abstract: A fabric dyeing apparatus and/or method can include a tunnel, such as a modified bleaching tunnel, comprising a plurality of chambers through which a load of fabric is successively transferred. A first set of the chambers can include a consecutive series of dye chambers through which the fabric load and a single dye bath are successively transferred and in which the dye bath is heated to about the same temperature in each of the dye chambers. A first chamber in the series of dye chambers and each chamber subsequent to the dye chambers can be adapted to receive a fresh water bath. A last chamber in the series of dye chambers and each subsequent chamber can be adapted to drain the bath in those chambers. The weight ratio of dye bath mixture-to-fabric can be about 5:1. The dye bath can include a fiber reactive dye or a direct fabric dye.

  • Patent number: 7984628
Abstract: When an operation for washing is completed and door is unlocked, water level in a water tank is monitored only for a prescribed time period. When there is no water leakage, monitoring is stopped after the prescribed time period and the power is turned off. When there is a water leakage, water level in the water tank increases. When it is detected that a first water level is reached, the door is locked to prevent opening. After a prescribed time period, the power is turned off while the door is kept locked. If the door cannot be locked, the door lock error is notified and the water collected in the water tank is drained.

  • Publication number: 20080229522
Abstract: Customers obtain customized textile materials by selecting style, shape, size, pattern and color for an undyed textile product. Based on a selection made by the customer, the textile product is transformed by a dyeing operation performed on a single item to yield a product, such as a shirt, pants, or jacket, which has a color and pattern of his or her own choosing, in the size and style he or she desires. The process can be performed in a retail setting using a dye machine which allows the process to be viewed by the customer. Preferably, the textile material is constructed from yarns which include cationic cotton alone or in combination with natural cotton or other natural or synthetic fibers, and using anionic dyes, such as a fiber reactive dye, such that the dye is exhausted during the process and effluent from the dye machine is environmentally friendly without excess dye, salts, and alkalis.
