Patent number: 11098429Abstract: Techniques are described for communicating with and controlling a laundry machine. In some cases, the laundry machine emits, using at least one wireless network interface, a beacon signal that identifies a laundry machine. The beacon signal may be detectable by a mobile device and, based on the signal, the mobile device may determine that it is in proximity to the laundry machine. In some implementations, the determination that the mobile device is in proximity to the laundry machine may be based on receiving, from the mobile device, a request that includes a code associated with the laundry machine. A network interface of the laundry machine may receive a control signal to alter an operational state of the laundry machine to enable its use. In some cases, the sending of the control signal is caused by the determination that the mobile device is in proximity to the laundry machine.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2016Date of Patent: August 24, 2021Assignee: Washlava, Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Todd Belveal, Dexter S. Patent number: 8112902Abstract: A spin or tumble dryer having an air outlet with a moisture sensor is connected to a controller. The moisture sensor determines and stored the measured absolute atmospheric humidity values in the air outlet during operation. Specific characteristic values of the detected moisture can be determined, such as at a point in time and the duration to reach a maximum value or an absolute atmospheric humidity at a specific instant, which can be compared with the values stored in the controller. From this, it is possible to determine the laundry load quantity that is located in the spin dryer, and as a result a program sequence for drying the load can be optimized.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2007Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: E.G.O. Publication number: 20040065125Abstract: The present invention provides a dry-cleaning machine capable of performing a water-repellent finishing process when necessary, while ensuring a high level of safety. When the water-repellent finishing process has been performed after the drying process (Step S2), the solvent contained in the water repellent penetrates into the laundry articles. Taking this into account, the upper limit for the temperature difference ?T between the inlet and outlet of the drum detected is set lower (e.g. 10° C.) than that the upper limit (e.g. 20° C.) applied to the case where no water-repellent finishing process is performed. This temperature setting reduces the amount of heat supplied to the laundry articles and accordingly decreases the evaporating speed of the solvent. Thus, the concentration of the gasified solvent in the air-circulating passage is maintained under the safety level.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 22, 2003Publication date: April 8, 2004Applicants: SANYO ELECTRIC CO., LTD, SANYO ELECTRIC TECHNO CLEAN CO., LTDInventors: Nobuhiro Asada, Mitsuru Naganawa, Masafumi Nishino
