Abstract: A cloth treating apparatus is disclosed, including a cabinet having a housing space for housing cloth, a water supply unit for supplying steam to the housing space selectively, and a water spray unit movably provided to one side of the cabinet to be connected to the water supply unit selectively for supplying the steam from the water supply unit to the cloth.

Abstract: A safety guard rail (7) can be moved between a position adjacent a nip between two rotating cylinders (3, 4) and a remote position. The safety guard rail has flanges (8, 9) attached thereto, projecting essentially parallel to cover plates (5, 6) already present in the printing machine. The cover plates are formed with guide slits (12, 13) extending downwardly at an inclination, in which guide elements (10, 11) engage, secured to the projecting flanges which hold the safety guard rail (7). Limit switches are coupled to be engaged by the flanges and/or the guide elements to provide ON and OFF signals, in dependence on the position of the safety guard rail with respect to the nip, to inhibit printing machine operation when the guard rail is in a remote position, for example for changing of rubber blankets on the cylinders, and permitting printing machine operation only when the safety guard rail (7) is adjacent the nip to be able to carry out its safety guarding function.

Abstract: A motor driven wringer unit for use in combination with a counter and sink of the type commonly found in a household kitchen. A motor driven wringer has a frame with a pair of rollers rotatably attached thereto and a motor for rotating one of the rollers whereby a cloth or sponge will pass between the rollers and squeeze the liquid out of such wet cloth or sponge to achieve a predesired dampness in such cloth or sponge. A liquid catching arrangement is provided for catching liquid extracted from the cloth or sponge and a spout is provided for directing such liquid back into a sink or the like. A base is provided for the aforementioned apparatus whereby the motor driven wringer unit can be placed on a counter adjacent to a sink wherein the spout means will direct the liquid extracted from the cloth or sponge into the sink. A safety mechanism is also provided on the wringer apparatus for automatically turning off the rollers when the user's hand is in danger of being caught between the rollers.

Abstract: A printing press is provided with a safety device mounted in the vicinity of a gap formed between two counter printing rollers for preventing the gap from intrusion by foreign elements, such as a mop or the hand of an operator. The device includes a four-link transmission unit operatively interconnected between pivotable guard plates and a cam switch adapted to actuate an end switch of the printing press to shut the latter off. The guard plates are swung away from the rollers so that the gap is enlarged.

Abstract: Apparatus for dyeing a length of fabric includes a chamber having a pair of cylinders, between which the fabric is held as it is dyed by dye emitted from an apertured pipe positioned between the cylinders. Adjacent to these cylinders are washers and a steam box. The length of fabric is formed into a loop on the cylinders and on a drive roll, and it is passed through the dyeing station where it is dyed. Heating elements and washing means are also provided in the chamber.
