Abstract: A pet nail trimmer including a first cutting member and a second cutting member pivotably connected to the first cutting member. The first and second cutting members define an opening and are movable between an open position to receive a pet's nail in the opening and a closed position to cut the pet's nail. The nail trimmer also includes a grinder movably attached to one of the first and second cutting members, a motor connected to the grinder and mounted to the one of the first and second cutting members, and a power source mounted to the other of the first and second cutting members, where the power source is connected to the electric motor.

Abstract: An illuminating nail clipper for clipping the nails of an animal such as a dog, cat, bird, or the like which allows for the clipping of an individual nail at the desired length to prevent injury or improper length cutting for the animal. The device includes a hand-actuated clipping blade used in conjunction with an adjustable in size nail holder which includes a cutting hole and which allows the nail to be clipped to be firmly held at a particular position relative to the nail cutting blade. A light source illuminates an animal's nail to make it translucent, allowing the operator to see the capillaries within the nail and thus to avoid cutting to the live portion of the nail.

Abstract: A lighting device for use in combination with a nail clipper and cutting pliers is disclosed. The lighting device comprises a casing defining an angular front wall having an electric power source, a switch and a light-emitting element all integrally assembled and electrically connected within the casing. A radiation surface is mounted within the angular front wall for transmitting illumination light emitted from the light-emitting element wherein means for removably attaching the casing to either the nail clipper or cutting pliers are provided whereby the angle defined by the front wall positions the illumination light emitted from the light-emitting element for illuminating a blood vein or nerve through the animals nail such that the user does not strike or nick the blood vein or nerve during a cutting operation.

Abstract: A multiple-function tool has two plates that are substantially parallel and symmetric to each other. Each plate has a first and second longitudinal extremity as well as being connected at an articulation forming a sharp angle. Second longitudinal extremities have concave edges with cutting blades forming a nail cutter device. Side extremities have convex edges adjacent to the concave edges and have projections sloping in relation to the plane of the plate and with a cooperating cutting blade thereby forming a cuticle cutter, a cuticle pusher, lifter and a nail cleaner.

Abstract: Multiple function tool having two plates (1, 2) substantially parallel and symmetric, each one having a first (3) and a second (4) longitudinal extremity as well as being connected at an articulation of the respective first longitudinal extremities, forming a sharp angle between them. The second longitudinal extremities have concave 2 edges (5, 6) with cutting blades, forming a nail cutter device. Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a nail clipper with supplementary functions. In the nail clipper, a folding plate (34) is rotatably mounted to the rear joint of the clipper's body such that it is rotatable between its folded position and its exposed position. A housing (30) is provided at the free end of the folding plate (34), with a flexible extension (39) extending from the housing (30) and designed to be changeable in its length and bent to be curved as desired. A light emitting device (31), used for illuminating a target place while clipping the nails, is set at the tip of the extension (39). The nail clipper also has a melody chip (42) for producing a melody, in addition to having a battery (40). In another embodiment, the light emitting device (31), melody chip (42) and battery (40) are held on a casing (50) covering the rear portion of the clipper's body.

Abstract: Cooperating jaws are pivoted together such that working end portions of the jaw members are movable toward and away from each other. The jaws have butt portions extending opposite the jaw pivot from the working end portions. Such butt portions are, in turn, pivoted to elongated handles for swinging about axes parallel to the axis of the jaw pivot. The handles are channel shaped and define recesses into which the interconnected jaw members can be swung so as to be nested in the handles or, alternatively, into which the interconnected jaw members can be retracted so as to be partially contained within the handles. Abstract: A blade sharpener for a pocket knife is in the form of an appendage which can be removably secured to the knife handle and which carries a superabrasive layer sharpening surface, such as an electroplated diamond grit. The appendage may take the form of a pair of tweezers, such as those commonly found on Swiss army type knives, with the superabrasive layer being attached to its inside surfaces.

Abstract: A pocket type having a retractable blade that can be slidably extended from a casing in either of two directions. End sections of the blade are specially configured to perform tool functions, such as sawing, cutting, filing, screw-driving, or bottle cap opening. A special latch structure is provided for firmly and rigidly retaining the blade in various positions of adjustment.
