Multidirectional Displacement Patents (Class 70/130)
  • Patent number: 8689592
Abstract: Introducer Device comprises (a) Housing including (1) Housing Lumen sized and shaped to slidably receive a visualization device therein and (2) Slot sized to receive therein a projection extending from visualization device received in Lumen radially away from Lumen; (b) Sheath extending distally from handle and being sized and shaped for insertion through a natural body opening into a hollow body organ, Sheath including a fluid delivery lumen delivering heated fluid to the organ and a fluid return lumen withdrawing the fluid after it has been circulated through the organ; (c) Connector including Connector Lumen aligned with Lumen and sized and shaped to slidably receive therein visualization device; (d) Locking arrangement movably coupled to Housing, movement relative to the housing opening and closing Slot; and (e) Adjustment mechanism moving Connector relative to Housing to adjust distance between a proximal end of Connector Lumen and a distal end of Sheath.

  • Patent number: 7377076
Abstract: A handle-latch assembly mounted on a horizontal sliding door and coupled to a vertically movable latch bolt which protrudes outwardly from a top or bottom door edge, and which enables the inside and outside handles of the door to be respectively used for moving the door in closing and opening directions. The door has a manual lock actuator on the inside of the door, and an optional key-lock actuator on the outside of the door, whereby latching the door in the closed position requires a deliberate manual manipulation of either the inner lock actuator or the outer key actuator. The assembly permits sequential unlocking and opening of the door from the inside by application of a single horizontally-directed force to the inner handle. The handle-latch mechanism includes cooperating linkages, and the linkages are automatically reset into an unlocked position whenever the locked door is opened from the inside.

  • Patent number: 6176041
Abstract: A casement assembly comprising a casement frame defining a passageway in which is moveably mounted a closure element that can be moved to open and close the passageway relative to the casement frame. A latch is provided on the closure element for locking the closure element relative to casement frame. The latch includes a rotating cam having an eccentric surface that abuts an inner end of a laterally sliding rod whose outer end is brought into and out of interference with the casement frame to lock the moveable element with respect to the casement frame.

  • Patent number: 5881584
Abstract: For a mobile door or container, a lock that will hold firm against shock. The lock can be opened using a keypad to turn on a motor that disengages it, or manually, using a key. To disengage the lock, a shockproofer element of the lock includes components that must first be pivoted about one axis and components that must then be pivoted about a second, different axis, usually nearly perpendicular to the first axis. The lock resists opening under shock loading because the two pivoting rotations about different axes must be made to occur in a particular sequence, and cannot occur simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 5267457
Abstract: An improved double latch dead bolt lock operating mechanism wherein the dead bolt has a keyway engaged by a key for guiding the latching and unlatching movement of the dead bolt but allowing vertical movement of the dead bolt for accommodating any undesired engagement of the operating cam with an improper portion of the dead bolt. The dead bolt is resiliently urged vertically toward the operating cam to return the dead bolt to its normal vertical position after the cam to passes that improper portion of the dead bolt.

  • Patent number: 5192096
Abstract: A door lock assembly includes a housing-carried set of interactive operating components for mounting on a closure for releasingly engaging a keeper that is carried by structure located adjacent to an opening through which access is controlled by positioning the closure selectively in "open" and "closed" positions. The lock assembly is "slam-capable" in that its operating components include a pair of oppositely pivoted, spring-biased latch members that are movable into latching engagement with the keeper as the closure is "closed". The lock assembly has a two-part housing formed from first and second members that extend in congruent overlying relationship to define a first passage for receiving portions of the keeper as the closure is "closed." Second and third passages open through opposed side walls of the first passage to permit the opposed latch members to move into gripping engagement with portions of the keeper that are received within the first passage.
