A removable shield is provided for removably attaching to the lock body for covering the flange receiving opening thereby preventing external access to the latch bolt when the lock assembly is locked to the flanges. The lock assembly further includes a lock cylinder and associated lock cylinder housing wherein the lock cylinder housing cannot be removed from the lock body except upon special key actuated release. An acid actuated relock mechanism is also provided for blocking movement of the latch bolt when acid is applied in attempts to overcome the lock assembly.

  • Patent number: 4409805
Abstract: A key operated lock comprises, a lock body; a retractable lock bar with a bevel head, operable by an external pressure, disposed in the body; two locking plates abutted one another in the body and biassed by two separate springs parallelly and opposite to one another, each of the locking plates having an opening adjacent to one another, the openings jointly forming a throughhole for gripping the bevel head to place the lock in its locking position. The throughhole which is in its releasing position is a full circular shape that can allow the bevel head to pass therethrough and is of the shape formed of two dislocated semicircles in its gripping position. The release means for the retractable lock bar includes two cam members which will move, by key operation, the locking plates against the biassing action of the springs to make the throughhole vary to its releasing position so that the lock bar will be released.

Abstract: Disclosed is a security device and method. The device includes a bolt having a first hole drilled radially therein, a second threaded hole drilled axially therein to intersect the first hole, and a third hole formed axially therein connecting the second hole with the end of the bolt. A bar is insertable into the first hole to extend radially outside the bolt thereby to prevent a nut from being removed from the bolt. The bar is secured in the bolt by means of a pick-proof lock that has a screw portion threadably engagable with the second hole to engage the bar, and a lock body configured to fit the third hole.

Abstract: The lock for roller shutters comprises a hood-shaped body secured to the roller shutter and presenting a cavity directed downwardly, in such a manner that, when the roller shutter is lowered to its closure condition, the body encloses within its cavity an anchoring ring fastened to the threshold of the door. A straight bolt is mounted axially slidable in the lock body, so as to be capable of engaging the anchoring ring. A cylinder lock mechanism, also housed in the body, ensures the locking of the slidable bolt in its closure position.

Abstract: A high security lock to secure the eyes of a hasp and keeper. The lock is of a short cylindrical shape with a rear cavity to receive and enclose the hasp and keeper eyes, and contains a locking bolt to engage such eyes. The lock and the hasp and keeper assembly interact to give high security. The lock encloses and closely embraces the eyes of the hasp and keeper and lies close against the pads of the hasp and keeper. Shroud plates overlying the pads closely surround the rear edge of the lock. The shrouds and plates of the hasp meet those of the keeper at a separation plane offset from that of the eyes and of the door and its jamb.
