Furnace Patents (Class 700/209)
  • Patent number: 9958883
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating and/or monitoring an HVAC system (10), in which medium circulating in a primary circuit (26) flows through at least one energy consumer (11, 12, 13), the medium entering with a volume flow (?) through a supply line (14) into the energy consumer (11, 12, 13) at a supply temperature (TV) and leaving the energy consumer (11, 12, 13) at a return temperature (TR) via a return line (15), and transferring heat or cooling energy to the energy consumer (11, 12, 13) in an energy flow (E). A considerable improvement in the operating behavior of the system is achieved by empirically determining the dependence of the energy flow (E) and/or the temperature difference (AT) between supply temperature (TV) and return temperature (TR) on the volume flow (?) for the energy consumers (11, 12, 13) in a first step, and by operating and/or monitoring the HVAC system (10) according to the determined dependency or dependencies in a second step.

  • Patent number: 8874254
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to perform temperature setting of a heating plate so that a wafer is uniformly heated in an actual heat processing time. The temperature of a wafer is measured during a heat processing period from immediately after a temperature measuring wafer is mounted on the heating plate to the time when the actual heat processing time elapses. Whether the uniformity in temperature within the wafer is allowable or not is determined from the temperature of the wafer in the heat processing period, and if the determination result is negative, a correction value for a temperature setting parameter of the heating plate is calculated using a correction value calculation model from the measurement result, and the temperature setting parameter is changed.

Abstract: A method of displaying a map on a wireless communications device includes steps of determining a current position of the wireless communications device, determining address information corresponding to the current position of the wireless communications device, and presenting the address information to a user of the device. The address information can be displayed onscreen as a pair of odd and even numbers representing the street addresses on each side of the street at the current position of the device. The street addresses can be determined by interpolating the address from an address range for the path segment along which the device is traveling. Alternatively, where specific addresses have been stored in association with coordinates, the closest address can be determined. This technology facilitates navigation by presenting street numbers corresponding to the real-time position of the device.

Abstract: In a method for regulating the melting process in an electric-arc furnace (1) which contains a furnace charge (4) containing the following temporally successive principal phases: melt, slag, solid, the proportion and temperature of at least the melt phase are calculated by a model (3). The model (3) embodied as a multispatial model for the different phases of the furnace charge (4), enables to include the physical effect according to which the temperature (TM) of the overheated melt decreases shortly before the complete dissolution of the remainder of the solid, in spite of the energy supply. Moreover, this effect is counteracted in that the electrical and/or chemical energy input is temporarily increased in a targeted manner. The modelling enables the real temperature profile (TM) of the melt to be represented, thus also improving the predictability of the tapping temperature. The number of temperature measurements required is, thus, reduced.
