A smart phone system may be configured to receive a request. The smart phone system may also be configured to determine an address based at least on the request received, where the address provides access to data on a website. The smart phone system may also determine the address based on a receipt of the address generated by a server system. The smart phone system may also determine a timestamp associated with a transfer of the address at a geolocation. The smart phone system may also determine one or more time periods from the timestamp associated with the transfer of the address at the geolocation. The address may provide access to the data on the website during the one or more time periods.

Abstract: A transaction card may determine to initiate a mode associated with the transaction card. The mode may be related to locating the transaction card. The mode may be associated with outputting a first signal. The transaction card may determine a manner in which to configure the mode based on a set of parameters. The set of parameters may include a power level of the transaction card, or a strength of a second signal associated with a connection between the transaction card and a device associated with the transaction card. The transaction card may initiate the mode after configuring the mode. The transaction card may determine to terminate the mode based on an indication that the transaction card has been located.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method for cloud resource placement optimization. A resources monitor monitors state information associated with cloud resources and physical hosts in the federated cloud having a plurality of clouds managed by a plurality of cloud providers. A rebalance trigger triggers a rebalancing request to initiate cloud resource placement optimization based on one or more conditions. A cloud resource placement optimizer determines an optimized placement of cloud resources on physical hosts across the plurality of clouds in the federated cloud based on (1) costs including migration costs, (2) the state information, and (3) constraints, wherein each physical host is identified in the constraints-driven optimization solver by an identifier of a respective cloud provider and an identifier of the physical host. A migrations enforcer determines an ordered migration plan and transmits requests to place or migrate cloud resources according to the ordered migration plan.

Abstract: In some examples, by communicating with a mobile service, a user of a mobile device may settle his or her bill with a business using the mobile device. The business may be configured with a beacon to determine when the user's mobile device is near the business and a point-of-sale device to manage user orders and communicate with a mobile payment service. In response to a request by the mobile device, the mobile payment service may debit a user account associated with the mobile device for items purchased at the business. In turn, the mobile payment service may pay the business for the items purchased at the business.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a message comprising status data from a second computing device, determining that a geographic area is a hotspot based at least on the status data, where mobile users in a hotspot have a high probability of accessing an application on their mobile computing devices, and sending an indication that the geographic area is a hotspot to a third-party computing device, where the indication is used by the third-party computing device to determine a value for delivery of content to computing devices associated with the geographic area.

Abstract: A disclosed transmission management system is for managing a first transmission terminal and a second transmission terminal, the first transmission terminal and the second transmission terminal communicating with each other via a relay apparatus which relays image data. The transmission management system includes a reception unit configured to receive, from the first transmission terminal, band information which indicates whether a bandwidth of communication between the relay apparatus and the first transmission terminal is equal to or narrower than a predetermined value, and a transmission unit configured to transmit, to the first transmission terminal, a message which indicates that image data transmitted from the second transmission terminal is hidden because the bandwidth is narrow in response to an event in which the reception unit receives the band information which indicates that the bandwidth is equal to or narrower than the predetermined value.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for building a geographic location based sharing request network. The invention generates and builds a sharing request network based on user geographic locations for efficiently and conveniently matching and connecting users to one another and third party systems. In this way, the sharing request network system may identify social events, volunteering opportunities, medical aid sharing, and transportation sharing for aging individuals. Furthermore, the system generates a knowledge sharing advice database, since aging individuals typically have professional or personal experiences. The user may be able to respond with answers or advice to questions posted by other users via the system. Additionally, the system may generate rewards based on the knowledge or advice provided in response to posted questions.

Abstract: A system and method for selectively activating a radio frequency (RF) identification (RFID) reader within a venue having a point of sale (POS) lane. In various aspects, a first detector detects a POS lane activity state of the POS lane, where the POS lane activity state comprises an active state or an inactive state. A second detector detects a presence of a person in the POS lane, such that a processor, operatively connected to the first detector and the second detector, activates a first a first RFID reader, the first RFID reader having a reading range that extends over the POS lane, the activation occurring upon an indication by the first detector that the POS lane activity state has the inactive state and upon a further indication by the second detector that the person is present within the POS lane.

Abstract: An automatic system facilitates selection of media properties on which to display an advertisement, responsive to a profile collected on a first media property, where a behavioral-targeting company calculates expected profit for an ad correlated with the profile and arranges for the visitor to be tagged with a tag readable by the selected media property. The profit can be calculated by deducting, from the revenues that are expected to be generated from an ad delivered based on the collected profile, at least the price of ad space at a media property where the BT company might like to deliver ads to the profiled visitor. When the calculated profit is positive (i.e., not a loss), the BT company arranges for the visitor to be tagged with a tag readable by the selected media property through which the BT company expects to profit.

The method includes processing digital content media via one or more processors. The processors are in communication with an input/output interface and a database. Each item of digital content media is associated with a particular user and stored in a database. The system displays the digital content media within a media feed through the input/output interface in accordance to the preferences of each user. Command data is received and processed for each user. The system automatically allocates the placement of the digital content media according to a defined point value. Each digital content media is assigned a point value by the posting user which is automatically ranked by the system in accordance with the assigned point value. The system updates the media feed to reflect new and modified point values.

Abstract: Systems and methods of managing customer journeys are implemented using one or more processors in a computing system. Each journey may comprise a succession of interactions at interaction points such as telephone conversations, responses to an interactive voice response “IVR” system and viewing a web page. Customer journey scores are determined for customers at one or more interaction points along the customer journey and the customer journey score is used to determine whether and when an intervention should take place. Models for determining customer journey scores may be created for a set of customers based on one or both of subjective and objective data relating to a subset of the set of customers that have made some or part of the journey, e.g. customers that have responded to polls. According to one embodiment, unprocessed data about entities is collected from various data sources. The unprocessed data is transformed to a graph with entities as nodes and corresponding direct affinities between them as edges. Depending on relationship between corresponding nodes, the corresponding edges are at least one of non-directed, directed and temporal. The graph is simulated as an electrical circuit with non-directed edges as a conventional resistor. The directed edges are simulated as at least one of a conventional resistor coupled with a forward-biased ideal diode in direction of the directed edges. The temporal edges are simulated with a time-delay circuit involving, at least in part, a capacitor. Further, relatedness between all pairs of nodes is calculated in accordance with the rules of electrical circuit topology.

Abstract: Systems and methods for an offline voicemail recording system are provided. A voicemail server establishes a session with a caller responsive to detecting the unavailability of a callee. Session information is transmitted to the caller and the voicemail server then purposely terminates the session with the caller. The caller can record a voice or video message offline, without an active connection to the voicemail server, and later upload the recorded message. The voicemail server correlates the uploaded message with the previously terminated session and notifies the callee of the receipt of the message.

In response, the search engine determines whether the query is a long or hard query. For long or hard queries, the search engine drops one or more terms based on search engine logs. The search engine may utilize statistical models like machine translation, condition random fields, or max entropy, to identify the terms that should be dropped. The search engine obtains search results for the simplified query and transmits the results to a user that provided the query.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media are disclosed for location based advertising and querying for low power devices in a wireless local -area network. An apparatus is disclosed including memory and processing circuitry couple to the memory, where the processing circuitry is configured to: encode a location-based advertisement (LBA) frame comprising a first location identifier (LID) and a duration, configure the access point to transmit the LBA frame to a sensor hub with a second LID, where the first LID and the second LID match, and decode a feedback report from the sensor hub, where the feedback report is in response to the LBA frame.
