Abstract: Systems and methods for the optimized allocation of content within a universe of inventory are described. For example, a method may include receiving content comprising at least one characteristic and at least one goal. A universe of inventory may be accessed that comprises a plurality of targets which may be assigned into a plurality of segments based on at least one demographic vector. An allocation optimization model may be generated based on the at least one content characteristic, the at least one goal and the plurality of segments. The content may be presented to the targets based on the allocation optimization model. Viewing data may be received that comprises data associated with target consumption of the content and the allocation optimization module may be re-optimized based on the viewing data. Additional factors, such as resource constraints and/or filtering rules, may be used when re-optimizing the allocation optimization module.

Abstract: A method and system to facilitate localized replacement of one or more commercials or other instances of base content in a video feed with replacement-media delivered in a separate broadcast TV transport stream. A local TV station that broadcasts to an area covering a video program distributor (VPD) includes supplemental content, such as replacement commercials, within its broadcast in a manner that standard broadcast-TV receivers would disregard but that a equipment at the VPD will receive and process. The equipment at the VPD thus receives the local broadcast from the TV station and extracts from the broadcast the included supplemental content. And equipment at the VPD inserts the extracted supplemental content in place of one or more instances of base content in a transport stream that the VPD receives separately from a video-program source, so as to establish a modified transport stream for delivery to end-user TV receivers.

Abstract: Automated systems for allowing a user to quickly and easily create an online store having inventory management and payment processing capabilities. An online store generator can provide a user interface for a user to provide product and optionally inventory information for the product(s). The online store generator can display a preview of the online store using the product information and a predefined template. The user can then customize aspects of the online store, such as the size and appearance of the online store via the user interface. The online store generator can then use the product information and the customizations received from the user to generate computer program code, such as JavaScript, that can be embedded in an Internet website. The user can export the code into an Internet website to render a functional online store.

Abstract: Disclosed is to an electronic display board to enable a plurality of people to take cognizance of at least one displayable item of information available in digital form in places open to the public. Abstract: An online system selects content items for a user to increase probabilities of the user remembering the content items after presentation. The online system generates one or more models based on information describing amounts of time users have viewed previously presented content items. Hence, a model associated with a user predicts an amount of time the user will view a content item. When selecting content items for the user, the online system selects one or more content items that the user is predicted to view for an amount of time within a specific range, which may be based on amounts of times other users have viewed the content item or content items similar to the content item. For example, the online system increases a probability of selecting a content item the user is predicted to view for an amount of time within the specific range.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for generating and/or transmitting dynamic electronic mail messages, which can include content that is generated at the time the email message is opened. In some cases, an email message will include a reference to a resource on a server, and a standard email client can request that resource with the reference, either automatically or upon prompting by the user. Based on the nature of the request, a number of properties or characteristics of the request (and/or of the circumstances under which the email message is opened or loaded for display) can be derived or identified. Further, demographic information about the recipient can be identified. Based on these characteristics and/or demographic information, customized content can be generated and transmitted for display, e.g., in body of the electronic message.

Each realtime-enabled object is a pubsub entity in a pubsub service. Each rendering of the webpage creates a subscription on a page object. The entity in the pubsub service enables the realtime communications of content to the webpage object. The architecture provides light-weight realtime anonymous pubsub at scale, a light-weight pubsub that can scale to the web on the backend, and integration into existing website code by plugging in at the javascript level.

Abstract: Techniques are described for retrieving advertisements for insertion into a document. Embodiments receive a document comprising a request to retrieve a plurality of advertisement creatives. In response to transmitting the request specified within the received document to the advertisement management system, a single software object defining all of the plurality of advertisement creatives is received. Embodiments insert each of the plurality of advertisement creatives into the document, prior to rendering the document, and then render the document together with the advertisement creatives.

Abstract: Content is inserted into conversations hosted on a takeoff site using creatives that provide lures and links to other material that users engaged in the conversation might find helpful and relevant. Such insertions are made in a contextually meaningful fashion through the use of a matching and decision process that determines best candidate creatives and an appropriate time and place for their insertion into the conversation.

Abstract: In accordance with the invention, advertisement identifiers are stored in a queue in memory in the set top box or elsewhere corresponding to individual subscribers of a television service delivery network. The advertisements are retrieved and displayed in the order dictated by the queue as advertisement avails are detected in the particular channel information stream being watched by that subscriber. Accordingly, the subscriber sees the advertisements regardless of what channel or television program is being watched and sees them in the order dictated by the queue. The invention also is applicable to other information streams including Internet advertising, audio/radio advertising and advertising in electronic program guides.

The client communicates the behavior data having the matched behaviors/unique codes anonymously to a network operator. A network operator collects behavior data from multiple clients. The network operator associates unique codes corresponding to a behavior to content to promote the content to clients who anonymously indicate the behavior through the unique codes in the behavior data. The network operator may output a promotion having the associated unique codes to multiple clients to enable each client to identify its own unique codes and obtain corresponding content recommendations and/or content.

The ad demographic bins may specify a number of views, a targeted geography of those views, and/or a targeted demographic of those views. The unsold ad avails may be offered for sale without indicating the content, content providers, or the time slot associated with the ad avail. These ad avails may be offered for sale if it is determined that the ad avails are about to expire, such as within a threshold number of days. In the cases, where the ad avails are sold as a demographic bin (i.e. bundled with other ad avails), the aggregate demographic parameters associated with the demographic bin may be indicated when offering the ad avails for sale.

The configuration manager receives a client configuration message, and extracts first event request information. The device event receiver receives raw data related to a first event. The event data analyzer converts the raw data into information related to the first event. The registered event dispatcher registers a second event based on the extracted first event request information, receives the information related to the first event, determines whether the first event corresponds to the registered second event, and generates determination information indicating that the first event corresponds to the second event.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the invention include the use of a guaranteed cognitive awareness coupled with an individualized sequential advertising campaign directed at a specific user. A user may be offered services such as: telecommunication services, video services, radio or other audio services (traditional radio or satellite radio services), television services (traditional cable or satellite television services), software services, electronic book services, etc. In return for the use of such services free of charge, the services may be periodically interrupted and a commercial message may be conveyed to the user. Buyers may access the website to view the coordinated sale announcements, and view location, times and items for sale.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to systems, methods, and computer program products for determining and providing an offer to a customer based at least in part on product level data associated with a transaction. The system, method, and computer program product are configured to receive unstructured data from a customer account, wherein the unstructured data comprises product level data for a transaction; convert the unstructured data into structured data; determine a transaction at a financial institution corresponding to the structured data; determine an offer for a customer based on the product level data and the transaction; and provide the offer to the customer.
