Abstract: Systems and methods of trading items on an electronic trading system according to the invention are provided. The embodiments of the invention are based at least in part on a new order type. The new order type is a modification of a conventional good-until-bettered order type. A good-until-bettered bid/offer is received along with instructions that specify a good-until-bettered increment value and/or duration. The good-until-bettered order is maintained in the electronic trading system until a bid/offer that is better by the specified plurality of standard trading increments is received by the electronic trading system and/or remains in the system for the good-until-bettered duration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for allocating computing resources. In one aspect, a method includes receiving intent data specifying one or more computing services to be hosted by a computing network, requested characteristics of computing resources for use in hosting the computing service, and a priority value for each requested characteristic. A budget constraint is identified for each computing service. Available resources data is identified that specifies a set of available computing resources. A resource allocation problem for allocating computing resources for the one or more computing resources is generated based on the intent data, each budget constraint, and the available resources data. At least a portion of the set of computing resources is allocated for the one or more computing services based on results of evaluating the resource allocation problem to meet a particular resource allocation objective.

Abstract: A negotiation-based method and system for managing manufacturing execution system (MES) orders within a structure of distributed systems that include at least one ordering system and one or several executing systems ES. The method includes the steps of: a) creating an order for a service, the order having at least one negotiable requirement; b) distributing the order to one or several ES; c) evaluating the order by each ES and automatically determining whether the order is acceptable without negotiating or generating an offer for the service to launch a negotiation process wherein said OS and ES exchange offers and counteroffers until an agreement is reached or the offer refused; d) if a least one of the ES accepts the order, the OS sends a refusal to offers received from another ES; if no ES accepts the order, the OS starts a negotiation process for the negotiable requirement with each ES.

Abstract: A churn prediction system includes at least one hardware processor, a memory including a historical sample set of subscriber data, and a churn prediction engine executing on the at least one hardware processor. The churn prediction engine is configured to identify the historical sample set, identify a set of attributes, automatically select a subset of attributes based on an information gain value, generate a decision tree by recursively generating nodes of the decision tree by computing an information gain value for each remaining attribute of the subset of attributes, identifying a highest attribute having the highest information gain value, and assigning the highest attribute to the node. The churn prediction engine is also configured to receive target data for a target subscriber, apply the target data to the decision tree, thereby generating a churn prediction for the target subscriber, and identify the target subscriber as a churn prediction.

Abstract: A system for managing trading orders comprises a memory operable to store an order associated with a first price. The system further comprises a processor communicatively couple to the memory and operable to identify a latency value. The processor is further operable to receive a counterorder and to identify a potential trade associated with the order and the counterorder, the potential trade based at least in part on the first price. If the latency value satisfies a configurable condition, the processor is further operable to initiate a configurable period of time. If the potential trade is not valid upon expiration of the configurable period, the processor is further operable to prevent the execution of the potential trade.

Abstract: Thermal monitoring and analysis of conditions in a power electronic system include sensing of thermal parameters of interest, such as temperature and humidity in an enclosure housing power electronic components. The components are cooled by a liquid coolant flow from a chiller through chiller plates associated with the power electronic components. Air is circulated through the enclosure for heat rejection from the chiller plates. Based on the sensed parameters, factors such as relative humidity and dew point of the cooling air may be computed and evaluated to determine the potential for condensation. Alarms, notices, or recommendations may be output for regulation of the chiller to avoid condensation. The system may also provide for evaluation of installation errors, and degradation of performance over time.

An event may indicate an order instruction of or related to the parent order, confirmation of completion of a client order or an exchange order of a trade of a portion of the parent order, or an order instruction related to the parent order determined to be in conflict with the current order state. Events may be stored on a queue at a host server according to global sequence numbers assigned at the sequencer, and the interface processors may determine a next action for order processing based on the events on the queue.

Abstract: Various systems and methods for trade order processing in an electronic trading environment are provided. The order processing includes initiating a first thread of instructions at a computing device to send a first trade order onto an electronic exchange. However, if one or more trade orders are identified during the process to send the first trade order, then the one or more orders are queued. When the first trade order is sent to the electronic exchange, then a second thread of instructions is initiated at the computing device to send the queued one or more trade orders (substantially together, if there is more than one) on to the electronic exchange.

The impression is submitted to a real-time bidding market for competing advertisers to bid to fill the impression with an advertisement. The system and methods generate dynamic pricing for the individual competing advertisers and use the dynamic pricing to compare advertiser bids to determine a highest or winning bid and a clearing price associated with the highest or winning bid.

Control circuitry may calculate an optimal promotion offer from a third party to a user based on a first layer of the user's profile characteristics matching a target-audience profile of the third party. Control circuitry may then generate for display the optimal promotion offer to the user. In response to receiving a selection of the optimal promotion offer from the user, control circuitry may receive further selections, from the user, of a subset of the user's profile characteristics to share with the third party, and then generate for display, to the user, an actual promotion offer based on the selected subset of profile characteristics.

The system promotes recycling, reusing, and reclaiming of wastes sustainably to ensure compliance and waste minimization. In one embodiment, the system supports an intelligent service for generating recommendations across an industrial stock exchange. Companies looking to dispose of their wastes or byproducts can access the system to initiate and execute trade with other companies looking for materials or compounds that could be reused in their own manufacturing processes. The process determines an average number of service requests to be processed by the service function chain, determines a number of service chain instances to exist in the pool as a composite of (i) service chain instances to process service requests making an initial relay through the service function chain and (ii) service chain instances to process service requests that were re-introduced into the buffer after having previously arrived, and indicates this composite number to a broker component that controls the number of service chain instances in the pool.

Accordingly the resulting problem is a problem arising in computer systems due in part to the high speeds of computer systems. The exemplary method may further include generating a linear regression model relating the sold vehicle mileages to the sold vehicle prices, and providing the target price for the target vehicle based on the model.

Abstract: Presented are intelligent charging systems for transferring energy to and from motor vehicles, methods for making/operating such systems, and vehicles with V2V and V2G energy transfer capabilities. A method for operating an intelligent charging system includes a system controller receiving, from a user interface of a user, a request to schedule a transfer of electricity to the user. The system controller broadcasts to a crowdsourced set of service providers a solicitation for energy transfer bids for completing the user's transfer request. After receiving multiple bid submissions for completing the transfer request from multiple service providers, the system controller selects an optimized one of the bid submissions using a multi-criteria selection strategy. The multi-criteria selection strategy includes a joint utility maximization function and/or a trade-off Pareto solution.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a system and method for transactive energy (TE) market model. Existing TE models either consider market without a network simulation model or both the market model and the network simulation model are considered in a single formulation which makes the computation complex. The disclosed system considers both the power flow simulation of the network and the market model in a sequence. In other words, the disclosed system decouples the market model and network model to reduce the computational complexity at the same time without sacrificing on the technical feasibility of the solution.
