Abstract: In one aspect, a fault intercepting computing device is provided. The fault intercepting computing devices receives a request message including an outdated key value from a client computing device, retrieves an updated key value from a key mapping database, generates a remapped request based on the request message by replacing the outdated key value with the updated key value in the request message, and transmits the remapped request to a host computing device. The fault intercepting computing device further receives an initial response from the host computing device including the updated key value, generates a surrogate response based on the initial response by replacing the updated key value with the outdated key value, appends a key remapped flag to the surrogate response, transmits the surrogate response, including the outdated key value to the client computing device.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to determining a risk score for domains associated with a transaction. In some embodiments, a transaction computer system receives transaction details for a transaction between a consumer and a merchant, where the transaction details are received from the merchant real-time with the transaction and include a set of transaction URLs for subsequent use in the transaction. The computer system may receive, from a browser of the consumer that is used to initiate the transaction, URL referrer information real-time with the transaction, where the URL referrer information indicates a referring web page to the transaction computer system. The computer system may determine, using the set of transaction URLs and the URL referrer information, a set of domains for the transaction and then determine a risk score for the set of domains. The computer system may determine, based on the risk score, whether to allow the transaction.

  • Patent number: 11580339
Abstract: Embodiments detect fraud of risk targets that include both customer accounts and cashiers. Embodiments receive historical point of sale (“POS”) data and divide the POS data into store groupings. Embodiments create a first aggregation of the POS data corresponding to the customer accounts and a second aggregation of the POS data corresponding to the cashiers. Embodiments calculate first features corresponding to the customer accounts and second features corresponding to the cashiers. Embodiments filter the risk targets based on rules and separate the filtered risk targets into a plurality of data ranges. For each combination of store groupings and data ranges, embodiments train an unsupervised machine learning model. Embodiments then apply the unsupervised machine learning models after the training to generate first anomaly scores for each of the customer accounts and cashiers.

  • Patent number: 11533594
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for third party edge cloud service providers (CSPs) to provide edge computing services to network service providers. The edge computing service is initialized in a network. Network information services of the network are discovered. A location of a cloud resource in the network may be dynamically changed. User plane traffic is steered toward the location of the cloud resource. In some embodiments, initializing the edge computing service includes transmitting an identity of a valid user and a data network name to a network function virtualization management and organization system, or transmitting a user subscription list to a network exposure function. In some embodiments, dynamically changing the location of a cloud resource and steering user plane traffic toward the location of the cloud resource includes determining a number of users of an edge application at a location, and a network requirement of the edge application.

  • Patent number: 11514434
Abstract: Techniques for providing a localized blockchain that uses a mesh network to facilitate transactions for a localized event are provided. An electronic device can receive data from a localized mesh network to establish the device as a node on the localized mesh network. The established node can generate a cryptocurrency wallet that can be loaded with an initial amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens from a total amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens. The total amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens can be previously mined by a central authority of the localized mesh network. The established node can conduct transactions within the localized mesh network utilizing the localized cryptocurrency tokens. The established node can receive a portion of a cryptocurrency token for transmitting transactional data to a next nearest node on the localized mesh network to help facilitate a transaction involving other nodes on the network.

  • Patent number: 11514154
Abstract: A robotic process automation (RPA) system provides bots that interact with and provide user credentials to applications that require multi-factor authentication (MFA). First user credentials associated with MFA are retrieved by the bots from credential storage. Second user credentials that correspond to questions posed to a user of an application are retrieved from credential storage. Second user credentials that correspond to a one-time password are generated by the RPA system. The second user credentials may also be generated by a third-party authentication service that provides the credentials via a secondary channel such as email or SMS, which are then retrieved for presentation to the application.

  • Patent number: 11514437
Abstract: A method for encapsulating transaction instrument information in a transaction includes storing, in association with a first transaction and by a processor of the primary transaction processor server, transaction data associated with a transaction instrument for a first transaction. The primary transaction processor server transmits the transaction data to a payment network processor, and receives an authorization package in response that includes a cryptograph and a first network token. The primary transaction processor server generates a second token that includes a changeable alpha-numeric string associated with the transaction instrument used in the first transaction, and transmits the second token to a merchant device. The second token indicates that a transaction associated with the second token is either i) a customer-initiated transaction or ii) a merchant-initiated transaction. The secondary transaction processor may approve or reject a transaction using the second token without a cryptogram.

  • Patent number: 11514435
Abstract: An encrypted payment message is received from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant. The payment message is parsed using a first parsing algorithm to obtain merchant identifying information. The merchant identifying information is associated with at least a second parsing algorithm or at least one settlement algorithm. The payment message is parsed using the second parsing algorithm to obtain payment information for the transaction. A first settlement algorithm is applied to the payment information to determine an adjusted interchange rate. The payment information including the adjusted interchange rate is submitted to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant, using a payment algorithm. A second settlement algorithm applied to the payment information determines a buyer rebate which can be submitted to the settlement processor. A transaction result is reported to at least one of the merchant or the buyer.
