Abstract: An apparatus, a method and a non-transitory computer readable medium are described herein related to extracting SAP archive data on a non-original system. In this way a user may extract business data from any ADK-format archive file in isolation, independent of the original system and without any accompanying metadata. A cloud-based on-demand distributed architecture with a plurality of virtualized SAP Netweaver Application Servers ABAP may speed up the extraction process from ADK-format files by an arbitrary order of magnitude.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for re-deploying metadata and it's associated data from a source organization to a destination organization of a cloud-based computing environment. After metadata that is to be retrieved from the source organization is selected, a metadata engine can automatically create a manifest file that comprises the selected metadata that is to be retrieved. The manifest file can then be stored at secure file storage for re-deployment. A data engine can then automatically retrieve data associated with the selected metadata based, for example, on objects specified in the selected metadata. This data can be automatically saved and stored at a secured database for re-deployment. Thereafter, both the manifest file and the data associated with the selected metadata can be re-deployed to the destination organization.

Abstract: Some implementations provide techniques and arrangements to aggregate data from multiple issuers. An aggregator server may receive data associated with a user from an issuer. The data may include an issuer identifier associated with the issuer, account access data associated with the user, and a storage location identifier. The aggregator server may authenticate an identity of the issuer based on the issuer identifier and determine whether the issuer is authorized to provide the data for the user. In response to determining that the issuer is authorized to provide the data for the user, he aggregator server may identify an account associated with the user based on the account access data and store the data in the account associated with the user based at least partially on the storage location identifier.

Abstract: A third-party watermark is inserted into a file or files uploaded by a client to a storing party such as a file backup server. The third-party watermark may contain information about the upload itself, such as time and date of the upload and the identity of the client. The third-party watermark may also contain authentication information received from the client or elsewhere that establishes that the client is in proper possession of the file, e.g., it is not a bootlegged copy.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for providing continuous file protection in a computer processing system. In accordance with an embodiment, the system includes a configuration module, a filter driver, and a storage module. The configuration module permits a user to elect certain files or folders for protection. The configuration module runs at an application layer without involving the computer processing system's operating system. The filter driver intercepts and splits write input and outputs addressed at protected files or folders. The storage module is also run without involving the computer processing system's operating system. The storage module is for performing functions including data logging, version managements, and data recovery.

Abstract: An information processor may include a command receiving unit that receives an immediate processing command in which a deletion target to be deleted from the database is conditioned, and a registration processing unit that registers information defining the deletion target into a management data unit. In addition, the information processor may include a deletion processing unit that deletes the deletion target from a database, and deregisters the deleted deletion target from the management data unit. The information processor can also include a data manipulation command processing unit, which, in the case where a data manipulation command having a manipulation target that coincides with a table of the deletion target registered in the management data unit is received, processes the data manipulation command in a state where a condition to exclude the deletion target from the manipulation target is added to the data manipulation command.

Abstract: A method, server and mobile electronic device for archiving data are provided. The server determines that an amount of the data managed by the server meets a threshold condition and in response transmits a message to the mobile electronic device associated with the data, the message indicative that the threshold condition has been met. The mobile electronic device responds to the message with a response indicative that the data is to be archived. The response triggers the server to cause at least a portion of the data to be archived, thereby increasing memory available for storing further data.

Abstract: An image outputting apparatus obtains attribute information about image data prior to acquisition of the image data stored in an external apparatus. The image outputting apparatus accepts an output request of the image data by using the attribute information while obtaining the image data. The image outputting apparatus holds the output request in accordance with the acceptance of the output request before completion of acquisition of the image data and allows the outputting the image data in response to the output request after acquisition of the image data has been completed.

Abstract: A system and method for providing cost-effective user-driven data archiving. An end-user utilizes a file selection for data archiving application to select certain specific files and/or file folders to be archived. The file selection for data archiving application invokes a translation software engine to translate the intended actions into instructions specific for a particular data archiving product in order for that application to archive the selected file(s)/folder(s) as intended by the user. In this manner, the user interface can be optimized for those purposes while the archiving application can by optimized for its purposes without regard to ease of use of the user interface.

Abstract: A registry helper is configured to facilitate the declarative federation of registries. The registry helper includes a reader module configured to read a declarative description for a target registry to obtain parameters pertaining to mirroring of the target registry in a federated registry. The registry helper also includes a listener registering module configured to register a listener for the target registry that enables external monitoring of the target registry based on the declarative description parameters and a change detecting module configured to detect a modification to the target registry via the listener. The registry helper further includes an updating module configured to update the federated registry in accordance with the detected modification to the target registry such that the federated registry mirrors the services of the target registry.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for storing mail permanently without restriction of storage space of mail box. When user requests to store certain mail permanently, mail server transforms the requested mail data into permanent mail data with predetermined format. The transformed mail data is transmitted to an external server, the external server is a various kind of server that provides personal information storage space. The external server stores received permanent mail data on corresponding user area. If user requests to read permanent mail, the mail server requests the requested permanent mail data to the external server, and the external server transmits the requested permanent mail data to the mail server, by which users can read mails indicated as permanent mail regardless mail capacity of mail box.

Abstract: An archiving system for enabling searching for collections of items is disclosed. A processing unit displays an archived items collection management template in respect of a particular collection of items and prompts a user to complete the template fields with data obtained by the user from manually reviewing that collection of items to capture information relevant to each of the template fields. An archiving controller stores, in pre-determined data fields of a storage area of a data store corresponding to said collection of items, the data from the completed template fields. A document search controller may search the pre-determined data fields of the storage areas of the data store corresponding to each of the collections of items to identify ones of the collection of items which match search criteria.

Abstract: Performing data management operations on replicated data in a computer network. Log entries are generated for data management operations of an application executing on a source system. Consistency point entries are used to indicate a time of a known good, or recoverable, state of the application. A destination system is configured to process a copy of the log and consistency point entries to replicate data in a replication volume, the replicated data being a copy of the application data on the source system. When the replicated data represents a known good state of the application, as determined by the consistency point entries, the destination system(s) may perform a storage operation (e.g., snapshot, backup) to copy the replicated data and to logically associate the copied data with a time information (e.g., time stamp) indicative of the source system time when the application was in the known good state.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a computer system and methods are disclosed. In one embodiment, a computer system includes a host coupled to a backup store. The host backs up a dataset to the backup store. The dataset comprises data entities and application-specific metadata describing the data entities. The application-specific metadata enables an application to use the data entities. The host: mounts the backup store for read/write access by the application, accesses the backup store with the application, selects a data entity, and performs an operation on the data entity in the backup store using the application. The operation may comprise verifying that the data entity is valid and usable in the context of the application or creating an archival backup of the data entity on a backup medium. The backup store may be a disk-based backup store and the backup medium may be a tape-based backup medium.
