Abstract: Techniques for dynamic contact ingestion are described. A system may interpret a voice command received from a first device based on contact data or other information associated with a second device connected to the first device. For example, when a data connection is made between the first device and the second device, the first device may receive the contact data and send the contact data to a remote system. The remote system may temporarily associate the contact data with the first device, enabling the remote system to interpret a voice command received from the first device using the contact data. The remote system may use the contact data to perform disambiguation, enabling the remote system to initiate outbound calls, announce inbound calls, and/or the like. When the second device is disconnected from the first device, the remote system may remove the association between the contact data and the first device.

Abstract: A digital object architecture infrastructure includes a handle system that stores handle data and a proxy server that caches handle data for rapid access. A client connects to the proxy server to request access to the handle data. When the handle data does not have access restrictions and is currently cached, the proxy server returns the handle data to the client without accessing the handle system. When the handle data does not have access restrictions and is not cached, the proxy server obtains the handle data from the handle system, caches a copy of the handle data for future access, and provides the handle data to the client. The proxy server may cache encrypted handle data that is subject to access restrictions, cannot be decrypted by proxy server, and can be provided to a client determined to be allowed access. The client can then decrypt the encrypted handle data.

Abstract: A system for managing storage of data in composed information handling systems includes a system control processor manager that identifies a compute resource set having compute resources specified by a composition request, identifies a hardware resource set having hardware resources specified by the composition request including a local data processor that services writes using a local device and a remote device, sets up storage management services for managing writes of data to the hardware resource set using a control resource set and the compute resource set to obtain logical hardware in which the local data processor preferentially services writes of the data using the local device rather than the remote device, and presents the logical hardware resources using the control resource set to the compute resource set as bare metal resources to instantiate a composed information handling system to service the composition request.

Abstract: Requests from file system services of a storage system are registered. Each file system service, when executed, utilizes one or more resources of the storage system. Each request includes information describing resource requirements required by a respective file system service. Resource utilization data of the resources are collected over a period of time. The resource utilization data includes an identification of a resource, a timestamp, and a measurement indicating a utilization level of the resource corresponding to the timestamp. A machine learning model is trained to predict utilization patterns of the resources. Execution of the file system services are scheduled based on the predicted utilization patterns. Monitoring is conducted during the execution of the file system services. Based on the monitoring a determination is made as to whether the machine learning model should be retrained.

A spoken input provided by a user to a computing device is received. The spoken input is transmitted to a computer server system that is remote from the computing device. Search result information that is responsive to the spoken input is receiving by the computing device and in response to the transmitted spoken input. An alert is provided to the user that the device will connect the user to a target of the search result information if the user does not intervene to stop the connecting of the user. The user is connected to the target of the search result information based on a determination that the user has not intervened to stop the connecting of the user.

Abstract: A database protection system (DPS) detects anomalies in real time without reliance on discrete security rules, instead relying on a machine learning-based approach. In particular, a Bayesian machine learning model is trained on a set of database protocol metadata (DPM) that the system collects during its runtime operation. Typically, a set of DPM parameters is protocol-specific. The approach herein presumes that DPM parameters are not independent, and that their conditional dependencies (as observed from the database connections) can be leveraged for anomaly detection. To that end, the machine learning model is trained to detect dominant (repeating) patterns of connection DPM parameters. Once trained, the model is then instantiated in the DPS and used to facilitate anomaly detection by identifying connections that do not conform to these patterns, i.e. that represent unusual connection DPM parameters.

Abstract: A data processing device has a processor which executes software directly from non-volatile memory. The processor has a runtime component which dynamically maps software element identifiers specified by the software to corresponding software elements in memory. Mapping information is used to determine which software elements identifiers correspond to which software elements. This provides a level of indirection which can be used to make software updates more efficient, by updating only parts of the software while leaving old parts of the software as they are. Updated software elements can be stored to memory and the mapping information updated to point to the new elements, while existing mappings may be retained.

The online system accesses a set of animations, in which each animation is associated with a type of life event and selects an animation that is associated with the type of life event about the posting user. Upon receiving a request from a viewing user to view the user profile page, the online system determines whether to include the selected animation in the user profile page based on the privacy setting and information describing a connection between the users. Based on the determination, the online system generates a user interface including at least the user profile page and sends the user interface for display to the viewing user.

Abstract: Dynamically transforming web content is described. An HTTP request is received from an Internet client. The web resource identified in the HTTP request is accessed. The content of the web resource is analyzed. A set of transformation instructions are applied on a set of identified portions of the content of the web resource. Each applied transformation instruction includes logic to locate and manipulate at least an identified portion of the content, and at least one of the applied transformation instructions is a client-side script transformation instruction that performs one or more of: modify a client-side script included in the content, remove a client-side script included in the content, and add a client-side script to the content. An HTTP response is rendered that includes the results of the applied transformation instructions and further includes those portions of the content that were not manipulated by a transformation instruction. The response is then transmitted to the Internet client.
