Abstract: Techniques and solutions are described for determining association rules using a machine learning technique on a subset of data to which the association rules might apply, and from which they can be determined. In particular, association rules are determined by tracking changes to attribute values of data objects having a type. The changed attribute value can be used as a consequent in an association rule. Values of other attributes of data objects having the changed attribute value can be used as antecedents in association rules. Values used in antecedents can be constrained, such as by limiting values to those associated with scope attributes or values satisfying a threshold occurrence frequency. In some cases, determined association rules can be automatically implemented, such as to process input or stored data for data objects of the type.

Abstract: A method and system for providing relationships in search results are provided. The method includes indexing an entity in a search index as an entity index entry, the entity index entry including facets providing information on the entity type and related entities. Search results are obtained by a search engine in the form of ranked result entities, wherein the result entities include multiple types of entities. The method then includes retrieving index entries to determine relationships between search result entities and providing the relationships in search results. The method further includes, for each result entity, retrieving its entity index entry and cross-checking the facets of the retrieved entity index entry for other result entities.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable storage medium for validating content is provided. Data is parsed into at least a first group of data and a second group of data according to a plurality of types of content present in the data. The data is ingested into an associative memory. The associative memory forms a plurality of associations among the data. The associative memory is configured to be queried based on at least one relationship selected from a group consisting of direct relationships and indirect relationships among the data. The associative memory comprises a content-addressable structure, the content-addressable structure comprising a memory organization in which the data is configured to be accessed by the content as opposed to being configured to be accessed by addresses for the data. The first group of data and the second group of data are communicated in a graphical representation.

Abstract: Methods, program products, and systems implementing dynamic data association are described. Relations between a first data item and a second data item can be created in an ad hoc manner. The first data item can include a row of data in a table in a relational database. The second data item can include a row of data in the same table, in another table in the relational database, or a document outside the relational database. Configurable metadata can be created to link the first data item and the second data item. The link can be directional. The configurable metadata can include data specified by a user. The configurable metadata can be stored in one or more system tables in the relational database. The configurable metadata can be specific to the user, or to a work group of the user. The configurable metadata can change when the first data item or the second data item is modified.

Abstract: A non-relational transactional and analytical database is described. It has a novel data architecture that allows data to persist without requiring any schema definition. The database also provides a file system with in-built versioning, reliability and security and can be deployed in a distributed environment. The approach adopted is to break down data into its fundamental atomic components, called memes, and use a special type of graph (utilizing non-standard vertices and edges) to create logical relationships, represented by links, between these components. The database operational functionality is deployed through an application program interface (API). The underlying query language is based on recursive triplets of the form (subject, verb, object) and can be easily augmented with different query parsers, which translate from some source syntax to this syntax. The memes and links may be identified with Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs).

Abstract: A method of consolidating genealogy records includes partitioning the records using at least one index file to form one or more partitions, sorting the records in a partition based on a data element in the records, comparing records within a sort range, based on the comparison, identifying same person records, consolidating information in the same person records, receiving a request from a user to view at least a portion of the consolidated information for a particular group of same person records, and sending a file that includes the portion to the user.

Abstract: A topic net management unit 1 reads one record from a table to generate the topic net (S1). Subsequently, from among the field data in the record, the unit 1 generates nodes corresponding to the field data for which a corresponding topic class exists (S2). Topics corresponding to those nodes are generated. If a node having the same topic is already generated, then the unit 1 does not newly generate a node having a duplicate topic (S2). The unit 1 mutually links the generated topics in accordance with the definitions between the topic classes (S3). Further, using a dialog information template, the unit 1 generates dialog information associated with the generated link (S4). The unit 1 performs Steps S1-S4 processing for all records in the table (S5). If there is a plurality of tables Steps S1-S5 processing is performed for all tables (S6).
