  • Patent number: 11687274
Abstract: A method is used for uninterrupted data flushing in a storage system. An input/output (I/O) request is received. A pointer for a filling flushing work set (FWS) is atomically switching. A copy of the pointer for the filling FWS is saved, and the counter associated with a FWS referenced by the saved copy of the pointer is incremented. The saved copy of the pointer and the pointer for the filling FWS are compared, and upon determining that the saved copy of the pointer and the pointer for the filling are FWS equal, the I/O request is committed to a page descriptor ring and the counter associated with the FWS referenced by the saved copy of the pointer is decremented.

  • Patent number: 11632815
Abstract: An information handling system and keyboard automatically coordinate wireless pairing when the keyboard couples to the information handling system to interface contacts exposed at the information handling system housing and the keyboard. The information handling system retrieves an identifier of the keyboard through a contact, determines if the keyboard is already paired, and if not initiates wireless pairing with a command through the contact. A pairing key is provided from the keyboard to the information handling system through the contact and applied by the information handling system to complete pairing. A confirm code is communicated through the contact to the keyboard for communication back to the information handling system by wireless signals. The contacts provide a charging path to charge the keyboard when coupled to the information handling system.

  • Patent number: 11507140
Abstract: A docking station according to embodiments provides power to an Information Handling System (IHS) coupled to the docking station. The docking station includes a first power circuit supporting a first power output according to a power delivery protocol limited to a first power level. The docking station also includes a second power circuit supporting a second power output for providing the input power of the docking station to the IHS. A controller of the docking station determines whether the IHS requires power using the power delivery protocol and selects the operation of the first or second power circuit. The docking station may support dual of such selectable power pathways using a docking cable joined from two individual cables, where each cable provides a separate power and/or data coupling. The docking station thus supports powering devices according to a power delivery protocol or using the input power to the docking station.

Abstract: A graphical user interface is rendered on a display screen of a touch screen device. The display screen includes a display area for rendering images, and the graphical user interface of the application is rendered in a portion of the display area. Digital touch data is generated in response to user interactions with a touch-sensitive surface of the touch screen device. A module of an operating system residing on the touch screen device is used to convert the digital touch data into OS touch events. The OS touch events and application location information are received at a system hook. The application location information identifies the portion of the display area of the touch screen device in which the graphical user interface of the application is rendered. The system hook filters the OS touch events based on the application location information and provides the filtered OS touch events to the application.

  • Patent number: 8924610
Abstract: SAS/SATA Store-Forward (SSSF) buffering enables SAS/SATA block storage devices capable of slower physical link rates to transfer data at a SAS topology data rate. 6 Gbps SAS and SATA disk drives can exchange data at 12 Gbps with 12 Gbps hosts through 12 Gbps SAS expanders employing an SSSF device. The SSSF device improves data transfer performance in the storage area network by optimizing host-side link utilization. The device includes a host-side interface communicating with the host at a host-side rate, a drive-side interface communicating with the target at a drive-side rate equal to or less than the host-side rate, a buffer receiving SAS frames or SATA FIS's, and control logic to control communication between the host-side interface and buffer at the host-side rate and between the drive-side interface and the buffer at the drive-side rate.
