The system includes a migration component executable by the at least one processor and configured to identify the plurality of IT assets, the plurality of IT assets including at least one power supply unit and at least one host server, generate an association between at least one IT asset and at least one power supply unit, receive a power-related event from the at least one power supply unit, correlate the power-related event with at least one affected IT asset based on the generated association, determine a sequence of actions, wherein the sequence of actions is to configured to migrate at least one virtual machine from the at least one affected IT asset to a non-affected asset, and execute the sequence of actions.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for centralized user preference management for electronic decision making devices are provided. A user preference profile is received. A user preference profile manager may transmit a user preference from the user preference profile to a requesting user transaction terminal. the user preference manager may also receive a dynamic user preference from a user preference profile and extend the user preference profile with the dynamic user preference, where the dynamic user preference includes a preference definition and the preference definition includes read and write access controls for the dynamic user preference. Then the user manager may update the user preference profile based on data received from the user transaction terminal.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determining a user interface, which can ensure that a user interface is applicable to a terminal device, and meets a differentiation requirement of the terminal device on a user interface presentation form. The method includes: receiving terminal information sent by a terminal device, where the terminal information includes terminal capability information; determining a first user interface according to the terminal information; and sending the first user interface to the terminal device. According to the method and the apparatus for determining a user interface, it can be ensured that the user interface is applicable to the terminal device, thereby meeting a differentiation requirement of the terminal device on a user interface presentation form.

In one scenario, a computer system receives a request to access configuration settings for hardware and/or software components. The request specifies at least one namespace for the corresponding hardware or software component. The computer system accesses a directory to determine which configuration settings are available for the specified namespace, and further accesses configuration metadata to determine where the configuration settings for the hardware or software components are stored and how the configuration settings are to be accessed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automated commissioning of virtualized distributed control systems are disclosed. An example method includes accessing a data structure including a list of configuration names for network cards associated with first and second host servers of a virtual process control environment. The first and second host servers implement virtual machines corresponding to workstations for a process control system. The example method also includes when configuring the first host server, assigning a first name to a first one of the network cards associated with the first host server. The example method further includes when configuring the second host server, assigning the first name to a second one of the network cards associated with the second host server based on a user selection of the first name from the list of configuration names. The second host server is configured after the first host server.

Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for providing a tool menu based upon a document displayed on an endpoint device are disclosed. For example, the method opens the document requested by a user in the endpoint device, detects one or more portions of the document that require data entry, determines a type of data entry that is required for the one or more portions of the document that are detected to require data entry, detects one or more configuration settings of the endpoint device and displays one or more tools selected from a plurality of tools on the tool menu based upon the type of data entry that is required for the one or more portions of the document and the one or more configuration settings of the endpoint device.

Abstract: A method of automatic hostname configuration includes receiving a request from a client device. A location detection module may be utilized for determining a location identifier representing a location at which the client device is located. A hostname is formed including at least the location identifier, and a control server assigns the hostname to the client device by sending an acknowledgement including the hostname to the client device. The request and acknowledgement may be communicated using DHCP. Simple network management protocol messages may be sent to one or more switches to query for a MAC address of the client device to determine the source switch and port from which the request originated. The switch-port-to-location table may include several ports that map to a same location identifier. The hostname may further be formed by including a device type identifier associated with the client device.

Abstract: A control system includes a plurality of audio/video and environmental devices, a server and a client system. Each one of said plurality of audio/video devices receives or sends an audio/video signal. The server is connected to each one of said plurality of audio/video devices and is configured to controllably receive and send audio/video signals to and from the plurality of audio/video devices. The server is connected to each one of said plurality of environmental devices and is configured to controllably operate the environmental devices. The client system is interoperable with the server and with a user of the client system through a user interface. At least one medical device may also be connected to communicate with said server. The user can control the plurality of audio/video and environmental devices through the client system and the server, and receive the audio/video signal outputted from any one of the plurality of audio/video and environmental devices.

Abstract: One or more tasks to be executed on one or more processors are formulated into a graph, with dependencies between the tasks defined as edges in the graph. In the case of a Radio Access Technology (RAT) application, the graph is iterative, whereby each task may be activated a number of times that may be unknown at compile time. A discrete number of allowable frequencies for processors while executing tasks are defined, and the power dissipation of the processors at those frequencies determined. A linear programming problem is then formulated and solved, which minimizes the overall power dissipation across all processors executing all tasks, subject to several constraints that guarantee complete and proper functionality. The switching of processors executing the tasks between operating points (frequency, voltage) may be controlled by embedding instructions into the tasks at design or compile time, or by a local supervisor monitoring execution of the tasks.

Abstract: A method and a system for configuring sharing of an input apparatus among devices are provided. The method includes: receiving an instruction for configuring sharing of an input apparatus among devices, where the devices include this device and at least one adjacent device; sending an adjacent device search request message by using a communications module of this device; receiving device information fed back by the adjacent device; analyzing a device name and a network address of the adjacent device according to the device information; and transferring a configuration file of configuring sharing of the input apparatus among devices to the adjacent device, so that the adjacent device configures sharing of the input apparatus among devices according to the configuration file. The present invention enables a user to configure all adjacent devices on only one device when configuring the inter-device shared input apparatus, and operations are convenient.

The settings page may comprise selectable category setting options for a setting category. The setting category may have a plurality of subcategories, and each subcategory may have its own selectable subcategory setting options. Each one of the category setting options may correspond to its own distinct configuration of subcategory setting options for its subcategories. A user input indicating a selection of one of the category setting options for the setting category may be received. The configuration of subcategory setting options corresponding to the selected one of the category setting options for the setting category may be applied to the user's settings on the online service.

The method includes accessing, by a client proxy running on a client system, a UI events queue. The UI events queue is stored on the client system. The method further includes identifying events within the UI events queue. The identifying includes filtering the events for events to be optimized. The method further includes, based on the identified events, determining at least one command, and optimizing the at least one command, and executing the optimized command.

The processor may enable the user to draw output zones to create a representation of a geographical layout of a venue in which the AV system is located. The processor may enable the user to place transmitting and receiving AV devices within the output zones that substantially represent physical locations thereof within the venue. The processor may enable the user to logically associate receiving AV device channels of receiving AV devices within an output zone. The processor assigns parameters of the associated AV devices to a control interface for user control thereof. To do so, the processor identifies controllable parameters associated with the AV devices associated with the output zone.

Abstract: Techniques promote monitoring of hypervisor systems by presenting dynamic representations of hypervisor architectures that include performance indicators. A reviewer can interact with the representation to progressively view select lower-level performance indicators. Higher level performance indicators can be determined based on tower level state assessments. A reviewer can also view historical performance metrics and indicators, which can aid in understanding which configuration changes or system usages may have led to sub-optimal performance.

A subblock may be referred to as a subnet or subblock but is a portion of the addresses in the address block. The size for the subblocks is determined for each of the subblocks based on which address spaces have been assigned to each of the subblocks. Also, a positioning within the address block is determined based on which address space has been assigned to each of the subblocks. A utilization for the plurality of subblocks is then determined. The utilization may be a determination based on how many addresses have been leased in the subblock. A visual representation is then generated that shows the size of the subblocks relative to each other and also showing a utilization measurement for the subblocks.

Upon receiving information identifying available networks that correspond to different types of media, a user interface component aggregates the available network connections and displays representations of the available network connections on the user interface. The result is a single user interface page on which the available networks are represented as available network connections that may correspond to destinations, for example by displaying a network name and/or a user-friendly name maintained in a network profile. Also displayable is connectivity status, security-related information, signal strength information for wireless network connections, and other information. The user may choose to show all available network connections, or only subset of the available network connections (e.g., only wireless, or only dial-up and VPN).

Based on the processing, configurations of multiple DHCP servers may be updated, to include the new host reservation, and provided to a configuration storage system for (at least temporary) storage and access by the multiple DHCP servers. The request may be translated into a second protocol and provided to a DNS management server for processing. Based on the processing, a configuration for a DNS server may be updated, to include the new host reservation, and stored in a DNS database.

The control unit searches for contents stored in the different device on the network, generates a list of thumbnail images indicating the searched contents, estimates an error rate when each of the contents is received and reproduced, and outputs the list to the display apparatus, the control unit changing a state of each of the thumbnail images in the list according to the estimated error rate. The operation input unit receives reproduction instruction operation with respect to the content indicated by each of the thumbnail images. The reproduction unit receives the content, which is subjected to the reproduction instruction operation, from the different device, and reproduce the content.
