Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms are provided that allow participants in an electronic messaging conversation (e.g. email or instant message) to retrieve information related to words and phrases in the electronic messaging conversation without leaving the electronic messaging environment. An electronic messaging environment is provided that includes user interface tools that allow a user to (1) select text within the EM conversation, (2) submit the text to an information retrieval service, such as a search engine, and (3) display the results generated by the information retrieval service. To facilitate the selection of relevant text, certain “suggested words” within the conversation may automatically be highlighted by the instant messaging client. Various techniques are provided for customizing which words are suggested, which sources are searched, and which search terms are used.

If so, network content comprising such relevant browsing and/or purchasing history may be presented to the user.

Abstract: A user interface and methods are provided for presenting electronic content on a mobile device with a content-serving application. Heterogeneous content includes ‘internal’ and ‘external’ content. Internal content includes items served by a system hosting the application and/or other items to which the host has full access rights, while external content includes items to which the application host does not have full access rights (e.g., because they are served by a remote site). Placeholders representing content items are browsed using one input, and an item is opened by different input when its placeholder is displayed. External items may not be retrieved until they are opened. Gestures while an external item is open are communicated to its remote site, and when either type of item is fully panned left or right, the item begins to scroll out of view sideways and the placeholder of the next item scrolls into view.

One or more elements associated with the consolidated data is identified and used to aggregate the consolidated data. Further exemplary methods comprise weighting by affinity the aggregated consolidated data to generate dynamic relationship-based content personalized for the members of the web-based social network.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides phishing heuristic systems and methods that detect phishing sites. The present invention may be implemented via a server connected to the Internet, via a distributed security system, and the like. Phishing sites may be detected in a single transaction, i.e. client request plus server reply, while knowing as little as possible about the site being masqueraded. In an exemplary embodiment, a phishing site detection system and method utilized three steps—whitelisting, blacklisting, and scoring. For example, if a particular page meets all requirements of blacklisting without any elements of whitelisting and has a score over a particular threshold, that particular site may be designated as a phishing page.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a mobile client device for automatically performing a mobile financial service function, including a memory storing software instructions, the software instructions including a mobile financial service application configured to perform financial service processes. The system may also include and one or more processors configured to execute the software instructions to detect a physical action performed on the mobile client device, and determine a first financial service function to perform based on the detected physical action, wherein the first financial service function is a function provided by the mobile financial service application. Abstract: A co-browse service uses JavaScript to allow a web page shown in a user's browser to be viewed remotely. Updates to the web page are rendered into HTML and forwarded on the co-browse session. Aspects of the web page that should not be visible are specified in a list of masked elements which prevents the JavaScript from transmitting the content of those elements on the co-browse session. A person viewing the web page at the remote location can select objects to have those objects highlighted within the user's browser. Likewise the person viewing the web page may manipulate the objects by selecting objects and entering information into the objects. Updates to the web page are collected and aggregated such that only the most recent updates are forwarded on the co-browse session. Updates that don't affect the DOM, such as hover state, are also transmitted on the session.

Abstract: A system for automatically embedding behavior collection components into a mobile device application; the system includes a user interface module, a recording module, a marking module, and an embedding module. The user interface module provides an operation interface which includes tracking items. The tracking items correspond to behavior collection components. The behavior collection components transmit operation information of the mobile device to a server. The recording module records relational information respectively corresponds to each of the behavior collection components, and each relational information is a relational function selected from of a plurality of relational functions of a library. The marking module determines and marks embedding positions of the behavior collection components in the mobile device application based on the behavior collection components of the selected tracking items and relational information thereof.

Abstract: A browser and operating system (OS) compatibility system may include a user interface to select a first combination of a browser and OS for comparison to a second combination of a browser and OS. A download engine may capture source files for browsers for the first and second combinations. A parse engine may create Document Object Model (DOM) trees of objects of first and second website pages respectively for the browsers for the first and second combinations. A metric engine may read the DOM trees for attributes of the objects to capture metrics of the objects. An analysis metric engine may compare a metric of an object of the first website page to a metric of the same object of the second website page to determine a compatibility of the browser and the OS for the first combination to the browser and the OS for the second combination.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards generating a representative sampling as a subset from a larger dataset that includes unstructured data. A graphical user interface enables a user to provide various data selection parameters, including specifying a data source and one or more subset types desired, including one or more of latest records, earliest records, diverse records, outlier records, and/or random records. Diverse and/or outlier subset types may be obtained by generating clusters from an initial selection of records obtained from the larger dataset. An iteration analysis is performed to determine whether a sufficient number of clusters and/or cluster types have been generated that exceed at least one threshold and when not exceeded, additional clustering is performed on additional records. From the resultant clusters, and/or other subtype results, a subset of records is obtained as the representative sampling subset.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for remotely monitoring an individuals adherence to a personalised schedule includes receiving primary data inputs associated with an individual from a client device and generating a schedule based on the primary data inputs. The method also includes inputting secondary data inputs to the client device which provides feedback on the individual adherence to the generated personalised schedule, providing a graphical representation on the client device based on the secondary data inputs which provides a visually perceptible representation of the individual's adherence to the generated schedule, and providing a remote device access to the graphical representation for facilitating remote monitoring of the individual's adherence to the generated personalised schedule.

Abstract: A method for managing user-generated questions and answers across multiple social media data sources can begin with the receiving of query parameters, including a user-entered question, via the user interface of a social media Q&A manage. Social media data sources can be queried for knowledge related to the user-entered question. When knowledge related to the user-entered question exists, the existing related knowledge can be organized and presented in the user interface according to a determined answer quality. When knowledge related to the user-entered question does not exist or is deemed unsatisfactory by a user, the user-entered question can be automatically submitted to applicable social media data sources by the social media Q&A manager on behalf of the user. A status of the submitted user-entered question can be monitored. When the status of the submitted user-entered question changes, the method can be re-executed at the querying step.

Abstract: A system and method for Context Enhanced Mapping. A request is received from a user over a network for a map comprising an identification of a physical location, and at least one criteria. The physical location is mapped. Spatial, temporal, topical, and social data available to the network relating to the physical location and criteria is retrieved using a global index of data available to the network and prioritized for inclusion based upon the user and context of the request. The map of the physical location and at least some of the retrieved spatial, temporal, topical, and social data is displayed on a user interface.

Example embodiments provide a WorldView Display System (a “WVDS”), which automatically organizes a user's online relationships with entities, such as devices, data collections, services, and people, and provides a user interface for accessing and interacting with these entities. The WVDS automatically determines the universe of objects that the user has relationships with, automatically groups objects having similar measures of access proximity, displays a multi-dimensional representation of these groups of objects on a display device, and provides a uniform user interface for initiating an interaction with any represented object. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing application events are provided. In embodiments, a notifier is received that indicates a usage of an application installed on a user device and a date associated with the usage. A verification notifier is also received that verifies that the user device is registered in association with the application and indicates a date associated with the verification. The date associated with the usage and the date associated with the verification are compared to determine whether the dates occur within a predetermined time period relative to one another. In such a case, it might be determined that a provider of the application installed on the user device should be rewarded.

Abstract: A system for serving localized advertisements receives data that defines an advertisement from an advertiser and determines a geographic location of the advertiser. The system also receives a request to serve an advertisement from a browser operated by a user and determines a geographic location associated with the user. The system communicates the advertisement to the browser if the geographic location associated with the user matches the geographic location of the advertiser.

Abstract: The method of visually indicating optimal communication times provides a visual indicator to a user of the most and least desirable times for communicating with a selected entity, such as an individual, a business or the like. At least one type of communication of the entity is monitored, and percentages of communications with each hour-long period of a 24 hour day are recorded. The types of communications may include e-mails, telephone calls, social media activity, and the like. Based on the percentages for each hour-long period, a color-coded scheme is applied to each of the hours in the 24-hour day. A visual representation of the 24 hour day is displayed to the user. Each hour-long period is displayed in its respective color, visually indicating to the user the most desirable and least desirable times to communicate with the entity.

Abstract: Embodiments can comprise a tool which provides access to an online library and a number of supporting functions including but not limited to functions for searching for content, capturing found content into the library, editing the captured content, and tracking use of the content. In one embodiment, this tool can be implemented as an extension to a client-side application such as a web browser. Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes establishing a session to a remote desktop determined for a user of a client device. The session allows the client device to remotely access the remote desktop to have one or more services performed for the user of the client device using resources of the remote desktop. The client device sends a request for a service in the one or more services to be performed on the remote desktop in the session and receives a result set determined from the service being performed by the remote desktop. A native viewer for the client device is determined based on a type of the result set. The native viewer is then invoked to display the result set.

Abstract: A link association method and system. The method includes receiving by a computer processor from a user, a first link for a first Webpage and a second link for a second Webpage. The user determines that the first Webpage is related to the second Webpage. The computer processor receives a specification command indicating that the first Webpage is related to the second Webpage and in response the computer processor associates the first link with the second link. The computer processor stores the first link associated with the second link and generates a report indicating that the first link is related to the second link.

Abstract: Various embodiments utilize page scripting and parsing to identify the target destination of a hyperlink and provide a visual indication of the destination to the user without causing redirection to the target destination. In some embodiments, hyperlink color, highlighting, or icons are used to indicate the destination. Particular colors and/or icons selected to indicate the destination can, in some embodiments, be selected based on the domain hosting the target destination. In at least some embodiments, the destination of a link is determined by the page script run by a web browser on a user's device, while in other embodiments, information is transmitted to a web request handler on the server hosting the web site to determine the destination.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for automatic visual preview of non-visual data. A visual preview of non-visual data is generated by obtaining the non-visual data; obtaining metadata describing one or more semantic data types in the obtained non-visual data; selecting one or more visual metaphors for the obtained non-visual data based on the metadata; and generating the visual preview of the non-visual data using the one or more selected visual metaphors. As used herein, non-visual data does not have an established automatic method for generating a preview of the non-visual data. A user can optionally interact with the visual preview.
