Abstract: Computerized systems and methods are disclosed for aggregating information and digital services into an interactive user interface. In accordance with certain embodiments, computerized systems and methods are provided that display a plurality of tiles for a plurality of sources, the plurality of sources being provided by at least a first information provider and a second information provider. The systems and methods may further include receiving a selection of content within a first tile in the plurality of tiles, the content being provided by the first information provider. The systems and methods may further include dragging, based on input from the first user, the selected content onto a second tile linked to the second information provider. The systems and methods may further include sending, based on the dragging, the selected content to the second information provider to share the selected content with a second user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus managing processing resources in a portable electronic device are provided. An area of the display device is controlled to provide a banner region comprising device state data, the area of the display device enabled to receive focus using an input device. While focus is in the banner region, first input data is receiving, and the display device is responsively controlled to provide in the banner region an indication of the first application, replacing the device state data. Further input data is received while the indication of the first application is provided in the banner region. In response and, in response, at least one of the following occurs: the first application is brought to the foreground by controlling the display device to provide a representation of the first application; and the first application is closed such that resources used by the processing unit are reduced.

Abstract: A user interface for a communication device allows a user to set up and manage conference communications. The user interface has an active communication area and a held communication area. Communication icons representing communications at the communication device are shown in either the active or held areas of the user interface. By detecting where a user has positioned one or more communication icons within the user interface, the communication device handles the communications to place communications in conference, place communications on hold, swap held and active communications, or disconnect communications.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and/or devices are provided for application window management and/or application launching on multi-display devices. Application window management may including utilizing one or more touch displays to manage the size and/or position of a window representing an instance of an application. Some embodiments may involve maximizing the window from one display to multiple displays utilizing the touch display's functionality. Other embodiment may include a minimizing process involving decreasing the size of a window from display on multiple displays to a single display utilizing the touch display's functionality. Some embodiments may include application launch functionality based on the displacement of an icon associated with an application utilizing one or more touch displays from a multi-display device.

Abstract: A terminal and a method of controlling the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the terminal includes an input device configured to receive information from an external source, a display configured to display an image, and a controller configured to control the image displayed on the display according to the received information, wherein the input device comprises a touchscreen. The GUI can include a privacy setting icon that is representative of one or more social entities. User input can be received and to define placement of the privacy setting icon within one of the first and second privacy zones. In response to placement of the privacy setting icon, one of the first set of privacy settings and the second set of privacy settings are assigned to the one or more social entities represented by the privacy setting icon.

Abstract: A multi-screen user device and a universal clipboard application are described. Specifically, the universal clipboard application can be open on one screen of the multi-screen device while another application, from which data is either being copied to the clipboard application or pasted from the clipboard application, is open on another screen of the multi-screen device. Inputs received on the screen displaying the universal clipboard application can cause content to be copied to an application being displayed on the other screen of the multi-screen device, thereby providing an intuitive user interface for the universal clipboard application.

Abstract: An adaptive, interactive visual workspace for viewing groups of files based on their relationships. Relationships of files are visualized using iterative refinement of categories through a direct-manipulation graph-based layout. The visual workspace starts with a fully connected graph linking thumbnail images of related files that is then partitioned into neighborhoods in response to a user creating file stacks corresponding to different categories. Normalized spring lengths improve the overall quality of the layout. Different modes for membership in neighborhoods avoid confusing motion of files and help a user to manually organize the workspace. Additionally, retrieved files can be added without having to significantly move the previous files. Different visualization techniques indicate which files are related to each other. Different zoom rates are used for file location, and surrogate sizes allow users to increase the separation between files while still increasing the surrogate sizes.

Abstract: Facilitating display of, and interaction with, secure user-centric information via a user platform operated by a user. A user identity is transmitted to an external computing device hosting an identity management server to authenticate the user. After authenticating, a desktop channel grid framework is displayed on the user platform. The channel grid framework includes multiple channels having respective contents represented as multiple user-selectable items, through which respective portions of the secure user-centric information are presented. At least some of the secure user-centric information in at least one channel is based on the user identity, and in displaying the at least one channel as a selectable item, the at least one channel is authenticated by the identity management server.

The user can move the string of information items along the path at a variable speed by using the navigational input means. The shape of the path is changed in relation to the speed at which the string of information items is moved along the path. At low speeds the path is substantially rectangular and follows the outline of the rectangular display screen. At higher speeds the path becomes more and more curved.

Abstract: Methods, machine media, and systems that can manipulate preview panels are disclosed. In one embodiment, a preview panel can be transformed, in response to user interaction with the preview panel, into an icon representing the file containing the content displayed in the preview panel. The preview panel can, in one embodiment, be opened from a user interaction with a first icon and the preview panel can be transformed into a second icon that represents the file and can be manipulated as if it were the first icon.

The third structure mitigates inadvertent removal of the tablet computer from the three sided structure when the tablet computer is fully nested within the three sided structure.

The purpose of the invention is to provide the user a way to not only see the data he has saved, but to provide him a way to graphically display the relationships he has made between pieces of Evidence. The present invention is particularly adapted to tablet computers, notepads, etc. with touchscreens. A feature of the present invention is the ability to manually slide one icon on top of a second icon thereby creating a data_tie between the two pieces of data, or evidence. In various embodiments of the invention, this relationship can be annotated with context to later relate why and how the two pieces of data were connected.

When displayed as collages, side-by-side comparisons may be readily performed between projects as a whole. For example, a single display may include collages for multiple projects, thereby allowing viewers to quickly tell how the projects differ in a variety of ways, including but not limited to size of shoot or density of shoot, dominant color, mood, time of day, bracketed shots or bursts, location and subject matter. The content of the collage for a project is based on the individual images that belong to the project.
