Abstract: A receiver includes a channel decoder select circuit, a plurality of communication channels, at least one maximum ratio combiner circuit, and a forward error correction circuit. The plurality of communication channels receive wireless information from channel demodulators and are in communication with respective channel decoder circuits, which are in communication with the channel decoder select circuit. The at least one maximum ratio combiner circuit receives the wireless information from the plurality of communication channels. The output of the maximum ratio combiner is communicated to the forward error correction circuit, the output of which is communicated to the channel decoder select circuit. A pseudo bit error measurement feedback signal communicated to the maximum ratio combiner from one of the plurality of channel decoder circuits. A method for finding wireless satellite signals that minimizes errors in a receiver system is also disclosed.

Abstract: Interlocking flag, indicating whether or not an interlocked display should be made, can be set in association with predetermined editing operators. When any of the operators is operated, a displayed screen on a display is switched over to a screen related to the operated operator, if the interlocking flag associated with the operated operator indicates flag-ON; if not, the display device may be used to perform another function. A plurality n of channels may be divided into a plurality of layers each consisting of predetermined number m channels. It is only necessary that a limited number of operators, e.g. faders, be provided to correspond to a single layer, i.e. m channels. Any of the layers is selected, and any of the operators is used for the selected layer. A set of stereo channels can be set across different layers so as to interlock with each other in response to editing operation of the operator.
Abstract: Executing a desired processing immediately by a simple operation using a jog dial for example. The display unit (3) has a jog dial (4) (a first operating means) and a back button (5) (second operating means) provided vertically at the right upper corner thereof. The jog dial (4) can be rotated and pushed. The back button (5) is to undo an operation having been made by pushing the jog dial (4), and it is located near the jog dial (5).
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for controlling displays in a multi-display environment are disclosed. The exemplary system may include a module for intercepting display creations from the display system. A module makes a determination whether the intercepted display is a dialog display and, if so, promotes the display status of that display to an always-on-top status, thereby ensuring the display's visibility.
Abstract: A display window is attributed a layering attribute such that underlying display windows are blended with the layered display window and displayed on the display screen. In a first embodiment, the layered window and the underlying window are represented as bitmaps. Any overlapping portions of the underlying window bitmap are redirected to an underlay buffer and composited with the layered window bitmap according to a display order and an opacity level. In a second embodiment, the layered window and the underlying window are represented as hardware sprites. Graphics device hardware stores copies of each sprite and composites each sprite according to a display order and an opacity level. In either embodiment or in a combination of both, as the layered window is moved or resized, the stored data allows for updating the composite display without requiring system expensive display regenerations.
Abstract: A computing device is provided with a number of programming instructions to cause display of first execution results of a first set of applications in a first plane of a metaphoric desktop, and display of second execution results of a second set of applications in a second plane of the metaphoric desktop. In one embodiment, the programming instructions are further designed to morph the metaphoric desktop from one plane to another. In one embodiment, the second set of applications are on-line applications, and the programming instructions are designed to cause the metaphoric desktop to morph from the first plane to the second plane when the computing device is being connected on line; and cause the metaphoric desktop to morph back to the first plane in response to a user request to return to the first plane.
Abstract: An improved data processing system in which a user of a GUI can easily designate one of a plurality of windows to be automatically filled in with predetermined, pre-stored information. A method and system are disclosed for selection of a target window from among a plurality of open windows so that the target window can be used for an application specific function, such as for the directing of digital wallet information to the target window only.
