Abstract: Disclosed is a system and associated methods for controlling computer operation through three-dimensional (“3D”) menus, 3D toolbars, and other 3D elements that provide an efficient and dynamic organization of application functionality and icons across three dimensions. The system generates a first 3D element with a first number of regions with each region of the first number of regions providing access to different functionality from a first set of functionality, and a second 3D element with a second number of regions with each region of the second number of regions providing access to different functionality from a second set of functionality. The system connects the first 3D element to the second 3D element, and rotates one or more of the first element and the second 3D element to change the functionality that is accessible from the one or more of the first element and the second element.

When the server receives, from a user device, a digital content request, the server can determine whether the digital content request was transmitted in response to an application state being changed to an active focus. Based on determining that the digital content request is being sent in response to an application state being changed to an active focus, the server generates a response that includes digital content and one or more digital components (e.g., branding data), and transmits that response to the user device. The method includes: detecting whether an obtained operation meets a predetermined condition when a client determines that a first conversation in a current conversation list region is in a selected state; and if so, displaying an icon of the first conversation synchronously at a predetermined position in a sticky conversation region. In this method, an icon of a conversation in a conversation list region can be displayed synchronously in a sticky conversation region through an operation meeting a predetermined condition, such that a user can process a message based on the icon in the sticky conversation region. In this way, the processing efficiency can be improved, and by displaying the conversation simultaneously in the conversation list region and the sticky conversation region, flexibility in displaying the conversation can be improved, thereby facilitating the user's operations.

Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose mechanisms to automatically rank and select extensions triggered in a digital assistant. A sample set of extensions are executed against a set of curated queries in order to extract a set of features and/or statistics. The system trains a machine learning model based on the features and/or statistics to rank and select extensions based on their response to a query. New extension incorporated into the system are executed against a second set of curated queries to obtain a set of extracted features and/or statistics which are saved for use at runtime. At runtime, a query phrase received by the system triggers one or more tasks from extensions. Extracted features for the triggered extensions are combined with stored features/statistics and at least a subset of the results presented to the trained ranking and selection model. The model ranks and selects appropriate tasks which are presented to the user.

Abstract: A textual user input is received and a plurality of different text-to-content models are run on the textual user input. A selection system attempts to identify a suggested content item, based upon the outputs of the text-to-content models. The selection system first attempts to generate a completed suggestion based on outputs from a single text-to-content model. It then attempts to mix the outputs of the text-to-content models to obtain a completed content suggestion.

Abstract: A display configuration system enables plant operators to create their own process displays called dashboards during run-time of the plant and in the same interface that these operators use to view operation of the process plant. This display configuration system makes the operators more productive because the operators can quickly create and implement their own specialized dashboards, as these operators determine these dashboards are needed. Each dashboard has a defined layout specifying locations or regions at which display elements can be shown in the dashboard, and this layout is operator modifiable. Operators can easily create content on their own dashboards using predefined but configurable display building blocks called gadgets, which can be pre-stored in a library and can be made available for the operator during dashboard creation activities.

The team may include multiple virtual assistants that are configured with different characteristics, such as different functionality, base language models, levels of training, visual appearances, personalities, and so on. The characteristics of the virtual assistants may be configured by trainers, end-users, and/or a virtual assistant service. The virtual assistants may be presented to end-users in conversation user interfaces to perform different tasks for the users in a conversational manner. The different virtual assistants may adapt to different contexts. The virtual assistants may additionally, or alternatively, interact with each other to carry out tasks for the users, which may be illustrated in conversation user interfaces.

In an embodiment of the invention, a method for e-mail message endorsement in an e-mail management system can be provided. The method can include comparing a sender and a recipient of an e-mail message in a social network to identify linking relationships between the sender and the recipient, scoring the e-mail message based upon the identified linking relationships, and visually distinguishing the e-mail message based upon the scoring. In one aspect of the embodiment, the method further can include repeating the comparing to identify new linking relationships, updating the scoring based upon the identified new linking relationships, and updating the visual distinction of the e-mail message based upon the updated scoring.

With regard to a message, an intelligent message processor component (IMPC) can intelligently identify a desired file folder and archive the message in the folder in response to as little as one user interface (UI) control manipulation (e.g., click), when the intelligent message processor UI (IMPUI) is activated. When the IMPUI is activated, the IMPC automatically parses the message and identifies, or allows the user to identify, a keyword/phrase in the message. The IMPC automatically identifies the desired folder based on the identified keyword/phrase, and the user can click on the identified keyword/phrase to store the message in the identified file folder. The IMPUI also can comprise other UI controls that can, e.g., forward a message to another user, archive the message or related attachment in a remote storage destination, perform a customized message process, etc.

Abstract: A method for generating a graphical icon to represent a software module is disclosed. Abstract: A method, display system, computer software product for controlling an icon appearance are disclosed. A display controller of the display system displays an icon control window on a display screen of the display system for changing an icon appearance of the display system conveniently. The control window includes at least one sample icon for a user's preview, and the sample icon's appearance is automatically updated upon receiving inputs for a new icon appearance from a user. When the user is satisfied with the updated sample icon's appearance and enters an execution command, the display controller finally changes the icon appearance of the display system by changing corresponding display properties according to the user inputs.
