  • Patent number: 9643225
Abstract: The present invention provides an extrusion press which eliminates unevenness of dynamic and thermal fatigue degrees of the hydraulic devices which form the hydraulic circuit in the extrusion press, the electric motors which drive the hydraulic pump, the control devices, etc., which makes the dynamic and thermal fatigue degrees and remaining service lives of the component devices even, and which is excellent in energy saving effect. An extrusion press which has a plurality of variable capacity type hydraulic pumps connected to it in parallel for supplying working oil to hydraulic cylinders of the extrusion press, uses a preset working speed as the basis to find the required discharge rate of the hydraulic pumps, and selectively controls the drive operations of the hydraulic pumps, wherein the order of selection of the hydraulic pumps which are selectively controlled in drive operation is controlled by a program which progressively advances when a predetermined number of molding cycles are completed.

Abstract: A thrust dynamic pressure pattern is marked on a rotating member or fixed member set on a rest table. A pressure for marking is applied to a member to be marked in a cycle of applying and releasing the pressure, and a supplemental force for keeping the member to be marked, still is separately applied. According to the present embodiment, a rotating device can be provided that narrows down a bearing gap and improves the efficiency of raking up a lubricant so as to increase the dynamic pressure by reducing the deformation of the shape of the protrusions of a thrust dynamic pressure pattern and the variation in the height of the protrusions when forming the thrust dynamic pressure pattern in a method of producing a rotating device.

Abstract: Press driving modules are provided to permit a standardized press design. The presses of a press line are equipped with always identical press driving modules, and the pressing force of the presses is varied only by the adaptation of the number of press driving modules. The press driving modules each contain two driving devices, respectively, that interact parallel or in series and have different characteristic curves. In particular, they have different maximal traveling speeds and different maximal forces. They can also have a different design with respect to their positioning capability and path resolution. This concept permits not only a standardization of presses of different performance classes within a press line but, beyond that, the largely free definition of characteristic path-time curves of the slides, and thereby finally also a freer design of workpieces, particularly of vehicle body parts.

The upper tool part is held on the press slide, while the lower tool part is stationarily mounted in the press frame. A movable forming element, such as a shearing blade, is provided in the lower tool part. The press drive is used for driving the shearing blade. For this purpose, a hydraulic force transmitting device is provided in the lower tool part and is actuated by way of a pressure pin. For the actuation, the slide or an element fixedly connected with the slide is used, the slide, in turn, being driven by the press drive. A hydraulic force transmitting device in the lower tool part permits a liberal tool construction and an arrangement of corresponding force transmitting devices for the at least temporary coupling between the slide and the hydraulic force transmitting device at points which hinder neither the access to the tool nor the workpiece transfer.

  • Patent number: 6279370
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for performing a secondary operation in a pressing tool for sheet metal forming comprising a primary cylinder/piston unit (1) arranged to pressurise an operating fluid upon closing of said pressing tool for performing a primary forming operation on a work piece. A secondary cylinder/piston unit (7) is mounted within said pressing tool, carrying tooling for conducting said secondary operation mounted on its piston rod (7c). The arrangement further comprises means (2, 20, 21) for storing said pressurised operating fluid and means for selectively allowing a first volume flow of operating fluid of a first pressure to the secondary cylinder/piston unit (7), for advancing its piston rod (7c) until the tooling encounters the work piece.

  • Patent number: 6240758
Abstract: A hydraulic machine for operation such as for pressurizing a workpiece and molding products from materials by using a reciprocation mechanism comprising a hydraulic cylinder unit. The cylinder unit comprises two types cylinder chambers having different cross-sectional areas, and a third or plural cylinder chambers. Hydraulic oil sent out from a hydraulic pump driven by a servo motor, is fed through a hydraulic circuit into the cylinder unit. The shifting position of the reciprocation movement is detected, and path switching in the hydraulic circuit and revolving operation of the servo motor are controlled on the basis of the detected shifting position. In case the reciprocation movement is used for pressurizing a workpiece by a die, the hydraulic oil is fed to the cylinder chamber for forward of small cross-sectional area until slightly before the die comes into contact against the workpiece, and the die shifts at high speed relative to a workpiece.
