The method includes identifying a first particular live content item included in a continuous content stream. The method determines a first live content item for presentation based on one or more interesting portions of the first live content item, wherein the one or more interesting portions are identified based one or more selection criteria, and wherein a first interesting portion comprises a start time. The method further causes the first live content item to be presented by the client device at the start time of the first interesting portion during playback of the first particular item.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for obscuring a presence of a media object in a video after a user fulfills an interaction requirement with a related media object. The system detects, an interaction with a media object and determines characteristics of the interaction. The system correlates characteristic of the interaction with an exclusion window and stores a record that links the exclusion window, user, and attribute of the media object. The system detects that a second media object will be displayed during playback of a video and determines an attribute of the second media object. The system retrieves the record by matching the attribute of the first media object from the record to the attribute of the second media object. In response to determining the exclusion window applies to the second media object, the system obscures the second media object while playing back the video.

Abstract: A device identifies one or more user interface elements, in a user interface, associated with a fixed positioning characteristic and not positioned within another user interface element with the fixed positioning characteristic. The device repositions the one or more user interface elements in the user interface to vacate space for a new user interface element based on a size of the new user interface element and forgo repositioning one or more other user interface elements in the user interface that do not have the fixed positioning characteristic or are positioned within another user interface element with the fixed positioning characteristic. The device inserts the new user interface element into the user interface in a portion of the user interface vacated in connection with repositioning the one or more user interface elements, and provides the user interface for display based on inserting the new user interface element into the user interface.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for modifying a fast-forwarding speed based on a reaction time of a user when a frame of interest is detected. A media guidance application may receive a command from a user to fast-forward through a media asset and may execute a fast-forwarding operation through frames of the media asset. The media guidance application may detect that the fast-forwarding operation is approaching a frame of interest to the viewer. The media guidance application may reduce the fast-forwarding speed to a second speed slower than the first speed, where the second speed is determined based on an estimated reaction time of the user. The media guidance application may receive a command to resume playback from the user while the fast-forwarding operation is occurring at the second speed and may play back the media asset at a default playback speed from a point corresponding to a moment when the command was received.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for requesting media content playback. Media content item metadata relating to product endorsement in the media content item is accessed. An endorsement profile for the media content item is generated based on the media content item metadata. The endorsement profile comprises data relating to which segments of the media content item have product-related content. A manifest file comprising instructions re-questing playback of the media content item is generated based on the endorsement profile for the media content item.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for data protection in a cluster of data processing accelerators (DPAs). The cluster of accelerators may include DPAs of a third party accelerator that may not be trusted. To ensure data protection in the cluster, a first DPA that receives a request from a second DPA to access a resource of the first DPA authenticates the second DPA. If the second DPA passes authentication, the second DPA is permitted to access non-sensitive resources of the first DPA, otherwise the second DPA is not permitted access to any resources of the first DPA and the first DPA breaks a communication link with the second DPA. Authentication is premised on a shared secret function between DPAs and a random number generated by the first DPA. The shared secret function is updateable by, e.g., a patch from a manufacturer of the DPA.

The source computing device is additionally configured to determine a subset of casting session parameters from a set of casting session parameters based on the one or more capabilities of the destination computing device which are usable by the destination computing device to establish a casting session and stream digital media content in accordance with the subset of casting session parameters. In an exemplary aspect, the method includes storing first and second digital information relating to first and second products, respectively, and transmitting this information to a display device to be displayed thereon by user interface pages navigable by a user. Moreover, the method includes determining a current page that is being displayed on the display device and determining whether either the first digital information or the second digital information product is being displayed on the current page. When the current page is displaying the first digital information, the method transmits unscheduled updates of the first digital information, such that the current page dynamically displays updated first digital information. Alternatively, when the current page is not displaying the second digital information, the method transmits scheduled updates of the second digital information.
