Electric Sensor Patents (Class 73/170.09)
  • Patent number: 11519385
Abstract: A vertical wind turbine that includes a plurality of vertical vanes, each of which is secured to a respective vertical vane axis so as to be rotatable about a respective vane rotational axis independently of one another by a motor and which are mounted on a common circular path in a rotatable manner about a vertical rotor rotational axis. A method for operating a vertical wind turbine. Angular positions about a respective vertical vane axis are specified for driven vertical vanes of the vertical wind turbine. The vertical wind turbine is operated in a particularly efficient and material-preserving manner in that the angular positions of the vanes are permanently regulated by directly driving the vanes using a pitch motor arranged concentrically to the respective vane axis.

Abstract: A device measuring the speed or the direction of the wind, characterized in that it consists of the main body (1), which is hollow and can be divided into two parts and an electronic circuit (9) can be placed into the inside part thereof, and of the rotor (2) or the vane tail (3). The main body (1) is of curved shape and has a tall neck so as the rotor (2) or the vane tail (3) to be placed in such a position in order for the measurements not to be affected and it is divided into two parts the lower part (6) and the upper part (7). The upper part (7) of the main body (1) is hollow and the axle (8) is placed into the inside part thereof, where the rotor (8) or, alternatively, the vane tail (9) are mounted, depending on the measurement we wish to achieve. The device is mounted in the meteorological station of a supporting arm.

  • Patent number: 7636640
Abstract: A system and method of characterizing or controlling a flow of a fluid is provided that involves a sensor conduit and a bypass. A plurality of fluids may be utilized in the flow control device based on characteristic information of the device generated during calibration thereof. The characteristic information, in turn is based on a dimensionless parameters, such as adjusted dynamic pressure and adjusted Reynolds number.

  • Patent number: 7385505
Abstract: A motion detecting system is attachable to an object for enabling and disabling an alarm flow of electrical current from a power source for actuating an alarm device. The system has a back plate with a substantially flat surface and a magnet freely pivotally mounted thereupon for generating a pivoting magnetic field that pivots with magnet in response to a motion of the object or of the system itself. System is set in an armed state by an electric pulse which causes at least one electrical contact is engaged by magnetic field in a first state to be set as an armed contact. When motion occurs, magnetic field pivots with magnet and armed contact in first state enters second state in which alarm flow is enabled for actuating alarm device. Contacts are spaced such that at least one contact is always engageable in first state.

  • Patent number: 6772627
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for airflow testing, especially for air testing of gas turbine components on an airflow test bench. Various embodiments of the present invention include the use of a measurement section downstream of the component being tested. The measurement section, in one embodiment, includes apparatus for measurement of gas properties at a plurality of spaced-apart radial locations and/or a plurality of spaced-apart circumferential locations. In another embodiment, the invention includes a method for testing a component including a comparison of gas properties measured in both forward and reverse flow directions.
